Do I REALLY have to have a glucose test?

BMI is 31 and baby measuring big for dates. 35cm at 33 weeks.

How reliable is the test? How necessary is it?

Birthing unit insisting.

My DD has been very poorly today so have not been able to get out but am looking up GPs tonight and will hopefully make it out to register/get forms tomorrow.

It is a diabetic midwife who I think is also a diabetic nurse that I spoke to on the phone. Although the birth centre is close, the hospital it is attached to is halfway across London for me and I cannot get to her yet, which is why I bought my own machine. It doesn't measure ketones.
