I've been feeling weird for a few days now. It started with my boobs hurting at the start of the week, and over the course of the week they've got more painful, and are now also growing and firming up at the sides. I'm also stating to feel quite sick in the evenings, which is very unlike me as I only get nauseous when I've drunk too much. I had a MC last year and this is how I felt before I tested, but by the time I felt like this last time AF was already late. I don't know exactly when I'm due on or when I ovulated as it's all a bit erratic, but AF is due next week at some point, and this isn't how I feel in the run up.
Me and DP have been trying in the do it and see what happens sense, and since the first few post MC months I've not been symptom spotting, just being so out of character unwell is making us think maybe.
So what I'm asking is have any of you felt you had strong symptoms and ended up with a BFP?

I suspected, mainly because of very sore boobs in the week before AF due. We had used ovulation predictor kit, so I was kind of counting all the days and watching for every symptom. When I mentioned how my boobs felt to my sister (who has 3) she immediately said 'you're pg!'.
I tested on the day AF due and it was positive - now nearly 27 weeks in Smile.
Wishing you lots of luck x

The first time (unplanned pregnancy), I just knew.
For n°2 and n°3, spotless face three days before I expected my period = pregnant.

abigboydidit · 13/04/2012 23:18

Nope - I had no idea. We had been trying for years months with no luck and I took my eye off the ball (so to speak) and got a new job. Was only when wine wasn't tasting so good that I remembered I was a few days late Confused

McPopcornMouseNFries · 14/04/2012 08:17

Nope I had no idea. We'd beent trying about a year and thought I was pregnant every single effing month - but not this one!

chipsandmushypeas · 14/04/2012 08:21

Yep, I felt sick in evenings from about 9dpo. Didnt want dinner which isn't like me. Also just felt ill with a sore throat and sniffly, when my gums started bleeding after brushing. I knew something was up and tested. Good luck!

baabaapinksheep · 14/04/2012 08:23

I knew as soon as I had a cup of coffee and nearly threw it straight back up, this was about two days after dd2 was conceived. Ex mil thought I was imagining the symptoms, so was very happy to prove her wrong.

The hardest bit was having to wait weeks before being able to get a positive pg test result, I had about 3 negatives in the time between conception and my due date.

BrettDomino · 14/04/2012 08:24

I just knew both times. No symptoms even - just knew I was pg.

PavlovtheCat · 14/04/2012 08:27

with dd, no, i did not know til about 5wks pg after I missed a period.

with ds, i started throwing up around 4 days after conceiving him.

LouisaJF · 14/04/2012 10:51

With both pregnancies I knew about a week before the BFP. With both I had an insatiable hunger, if it sat still long enough, I ate it. With the second pregnancy I had full on morning sickness from week 3 so there was no room for doubt. DH thinks I'm mad, but 2nd tins around I knew the morning after we conceived. Can't explain how, I just felt different.

TheWisdomOfSolomum · 14/04/2012 10:53

I did with dc3, and got a positive result before I'd even finished peeing on the stick.

TheWisdomOfSolomum · 14/04/2012 10:56

Sorry should've said that I twigged as we were visiting a farm and the smell of the just milked cows made me run and heave. Was about 10 days after conception.

FreshwaterPlimpies · 14/04/2012 13:24

Had sore bbs and some nausea, but sometimes had those in the luteal phase anyway when not pg. What I did have differently was strange cramping and twinges in my abdomen from about 4 dpo. Also at 9dpo I had an absolute shit-fit at DH over something very minor, which was quite scary and out-of-character. These plus a few other signals made me think something was up, (though I didn't dare to test until 18dpo).
Only remember all this because I'd started charting my cycles in prep for TTC in future and have a (over) detailed record.
Best of luck with everything daydream

Sort of - my boobs were incredibly sore the week before I was due on, which made me think something might be afoot, but because of having used Implanon I hadn't had a period in 3 years so I wasn't sure if this was normal and I'd just forgotten.

CupOfBrownJoy · 14/04/2012 15:20

No idea - and I got my BFP this morning Grin

I have had no symptoms at all - only tested because AF was late. In fact, the first thing I did this morning was take 2 paracetamol for my hangover Blush

I now think I feel a bit crampy but tbh its probably psychosomatic!!

joannita · 14/04/2012 15:44

Oh yes I knew. Both times. I did an early test this second time round because I was like, if I'm not pregnant then I don't know what the hell is going on with my boobs! it was definitely the boobs that gave it away. Anyway good luck to you. Hope you are pregnant and it works out this time. XXX

Purplehonesty · 14/04/2012 18:30

First time round on day AF was due had sore boobs whilst in shower but waited til evening to test. I was sure I was tho.

2nd time boobs not as sore but just had this feeling and tested day before AF due.

Squeegle · 14/04/2012 18:33

When I was pregnant with DC1 I got the most terrible burps.
As soon as I experienced one of those burps again I knew that DC2 was on the way- and he was!

Mama1980 · 14/04/2012 18:33

I just knew something just felt different I can't say exactly what but I knew

MyDaydream · 14/04/2012 20:43

Thanks for all the replies, seeing a few people feeling the same as me is making me feel positive, itching to test but will hold off as long as possible. Even DP who never shows excitement for things until they're in hand is being quite vocal. Everything is well and truly crossed.

Good luck!

DucketyDuckDuck · 15/04/2012 08:07

I knew every time.

Because I had no symptoms at all.

I usually get the mood swings feel crap, but when pregnant, I just feel normal, til 5 weeks then all hell breaks loose.....

StrawberrytallCAKE · 15/04/2012 08:12

A few days after conceiving I had diahorrea (sorry for the tmi) and the same happened in my 1st pregnancy. I asked on here and was told no way is that a sign but for me it was most definitely a sign as I got bfp a week later.

Sore boobs and sickness didn't happen to me until week 5-6 and I've had enough of them already.

Springforward · 15/04/2012 08:25

Yes, all three times. Third time I tested two days before my period was due, got a negative result but still "knew" I was - and the test was positive two days later.

I felt sick/ tired but was otherwise well, I had aversions to coffee and mint toothpaste, and my bras were getting a bit snug.

AWimbaWay · 15/04/2012 08:37

I knew all 3 times too, my first was not a planned pregnancy so not as if I was looking out for symptoms either. In general I just felt a bit sick and tender, just felt pregnant, tested early for all of them and would get the faintest of lines. I also knew something was wrong in the one pregnancy I mc as I had no idea I was pregnant until my AF didn't arrive.

VairpreshusFB · 15/04/2012 08:50

First time, no idea. Was very shocked, did about 5 tests to make sure, even though we'd been actively trying.
Second time, started getting symptoms 4 days before period was due. Only did one test but that was just to confirm what I already knew. Tingly boobs, coffee made me nauseous (just the smell alone).
