Aw ariane sorry you are sore and sad.
You are right about being sorer because of the nature of your surgery.it was MUCH more than a c section.
Thomas' fluid is typical of an early section baby and he WILL be okay.
Take your pain releif regularly, eat, rest, express as often as you can.
You don't have to go home until you are ready.
All will be well and this too shall pass:)

How are you getting on ariane? hope the little one is improving and you're feeling a bit better. I also hope they're keeping your pain relief topped up! :)

Thomas is still in intensive care but is being tube fed now and tolerating feeds rather than only having iv fluid.they have reduced his oxygen a bit as well, I was allowed to change his nappy for the first time yesterday and held himwhich was lovely.

I was discharged on sunday but have spent virtually all day every day at the hospital with him, he is absolutely beautiful and it is so so hard not being able to cuddle him all the time I did not realise how much i took things like that for granted with the other dcs.

I wanted to say thankyou to you all for your kind messages it was such a help when i was stuck in my hospital bed, scared and fed up I am really grateful for the support.

sorry bit late on this thread. but read up on your story. i had placenta acreeta too in spet & a baby in scbu. so im empathizing with u , & babies are amazing how they get better so quickly and soon it will be time to bring him home, its terrible when they r in there, but when u r home with him it will be all forgotten. my son was born at 32 weeks in spet due to heavy bleeding & he is perfectly wonderful now ! good luck xx

Thomas was allowed home last night I spent thu night rooming in at hosp as they needed to make sure he could breastfeed ok.he seems well just a lot skinnier than when he was born ! It was a bit of a shock reading discharge notes I knw he had fluid on lungs and an infection but they had put resp distress, ttn-to do with fluid in lungs I think, sepsis and pneumonia, all a bit scary.iam so so plased to hav him at home he is lovely.thanku for all the kind messages
