22+1 today, and just had a bleed when I went to the loo. Sorry if tmi.

Bright red blood, and a fair bit of it. :(

Have been searching the message boards for advice, as don't think I can ring MW till morning, and don't know what to do. (first pg)

any words of comfort gratefully received :)

You have to call the labour ward right away, it's what they're there for so font worry.

Bohica · 02/04/2012 00:42

Bright red isn't as bad as dark blood but I agree That you need to call labour ward

MoaningMinnieWhingesAgain · 02/04/2012 00:45

Ring the labour ward, they will check things out for you.

Sarahplane · 02/04/2012 00:47

Ring the labour ward. Hope everythings ok. They'll probably want you to go in. Is anyone with you?

Birnamwood · 02/04/2012 01:02

Call the labour ward and take it from there.

I had some quite heavy bleeding with ds2 but it was all absolutely fine, bright red like you too, I wasn't given a reason- just one of those things that sometimes happens.
Fingers crossed for you op

PoppyS34wantsminieggs · 02/04/2012 01:22

Fingers crossed - I bled all the way through all my pregnancies - scary as hell but I was always fine.

It's looks more scary when you go to the loo as the mix with water makes it look worse xxx

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 02/04/2012 01:45

I'm pleased you are there getting checked out :)

Fingers crossed you are both (all) ok xx

AdornMeWithSparkle · 02/04/2012 01:51

Hope you are ok. I had a bleed at 23+6 and they couldn't find a reason. 3 weeks later all seems ok

justhayley · 02/04/2012 08:06

PoppyS34wantsminieggs · 02/04/2012 13:54

Thank you so much for all the messages.

Admitted to the antenatal ward at 5am after a night in maternity triage. Still bleeding, no idea where it is coming from though.

Have low lying placenta covering os, so could be that, although cervix closed and looking good atm.

What a shock! No pain, no warnings, nothing.

I was so shocked last night really didn't know what to do, stupid as that sounds, so I can't thank you all enough for the advice.

Likely to be in for a few days for obs. Have phone charger now though :)
