Less than last time.
Labour bag with my essentials (straws, lipbalm, oils, flannel, old t-shirt etc), a nightie for afterwards, one towel, one nursing bra, one pair of knickers and a pad and washbag in. That all fits in one small bag.
Changing bag - one outfit for baby, baby towel, two nappies, wipes, blanket.
Ward bag with other nightie/pyjamas, towels, flip flops, knickers, one pack of maternity pads, bras, a book, pack of nappies, babygros, vests. No breast pads - milk doesn't come in until about day 3, and I am not preparing to be in for the long haul.
If I need anything else, DH can bring it in to us.
The idea is that if I go to hospital then we only need to take the two small bags up with us to the labour room, then DH can bring the ward bag up afterwards. The two smaller bags mean that DH isn't rooting round one huge bag looking for my lipbalm amongst hundreds of maternity pads or babygros. Then if we do stay in, he can take my labour bag back, and we can set up the changing bag so that I'm not rummaging in a giant bag looking for nappies and wipes.
I've also packed an overnight bag for DD with nappies, pyjamas, change of clothes and one of her teddies in, in case she needs to be whisked away to stay somewhere else if I am transferred in.
