Mine was being able to sleep on my tummy after months of uncomfortable nights on my back!

Being able to put my own socks and shoes on!

GlitterySkulls · 06/02/2012 18:17

being able to walk without crutches.

oh, and no more vomiting constantly.

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 06/02/2012 18:18

Yep, sleeping on my front. And, both times on the postnatal ward feeling suddenly very svelte, despite still being the size of a house Grin

franke · 06/02/2012 18:19

Totally agree about sleeping on my tummy - bliss.

No heartburn, piles subsided.

WhenDoISleep · 06/02/2012 18:19

With DS1 it was the end of heartburn/acid reflux.

Ditto sleeping on my tummy. Also just sleeping (I slept better with a newborn than I did in late pregnancy) and generally feeling comfortable again.

ReallyTired · 06/02/2012 18:30

Being able to stand without being in terrible pain.

bettyboo83 · 06/02/2012 18:30

Oohhh yes, being able to put shoes and socks on! I lived in flip flops for the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy because it was all I could fit on my swollen trotters! Hmm

SLEEP! okay it was broken by getting up a few times to feed, but when I did sleep it could be deep not like that light uncomfortable pregnancy sleep

BikeRunSki · 06/02/2012 18:37

Not being sick. I had hyperemisis in both pg.
Wearing différent clothes.
Drinking wine!

MissMarjoribanks · 06/02/2012 18:40

No longer being pregnant. Just that really. I hated everything about it.

Massive amounts of guilt about that feeling of course, as DS was prem and in SCBU... I should still have been pregnant whilst I was skipping about with this huge sense of relief.

GlaikitFezziwig · 06/02/2012 18:42

Eating pate, no more heartburn, tummy sleeping, freedom of movement, no more "ooh you are huge" or "not long now surely" comments

IslandIsla · 06/02/2012 18:42

Definitely being able to sleep comfortably in any position I wanted!

vitaminC · 06/02/2012 18:43

Not having to pee every 15 minutes!
And no heartburn!

headfairy · 06/02/2012 18:44

doing a massive, satisfying pee. And doing them lots over the following week until I'd lost nearly 2 stone Shock

Tigresswoods · 06/02/2012 18:44

Well I could sleep on my tummy and then my milk came in! Grin

MoaningMinnieWhingesAgain · 06/02/2012 18:45

YY not having to pee all the time, fantastic. Eating brie and pate.

CuppaTeaJanice · 06/02/2012 18:45

Being able to walk up hills without having to stop for breath every few steps. Lying on my front.......or my back. Having a bath without getting a cold tummy. Eating dunky eggs.

On a serious note though, I had a lot of pregnancy related anxiety following a mmc last year, and it was as if a huge weight had been lifted once DD had been born safely and I no longer had to worry about the possibility of things going wrong.

FezziwigLaVache · 06/02/2012 18:51

Oh God, all of it!! Sleep- I didn't care if it was only for two-hour stretches, that was one hell of an improvement on twenty minutes. Being just about able to walk. Being just about able to get comfortable from time to time. Not being booted in the ribs any more. Not having restless legs as soon as I sat or lay down. No longer having the compulsion to eat five frigging trays of ice cubes every day. :(

keely027 · 06/02/2012 18:56

oohhh it all sounds like heaven....still at 38 weeks

Chocaholics · 06/02/2012 18:57

Not having to do a weird rolly thing to get out of bed to go to the toilet constantly, being able to see my feet, being able to put my own shoes on and take them off and best of all no strangers trying to have a feel of my tummy, really hated that!!

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 06/02/2012 18:58

After DS, yet another vote for sleeping on my stomach!! Can lie nearly on my stomach with DS2 though, he must be positioned differently. My mum said she did right through pregnancy with all three of us...

WhereAreTheCakes · 06/02/2012 19:04

Getting knickers and socks on.

Not having to taken iron tablets.

Heartburn disappears immediately.

Took a couple of weeks but swollen feet disappeared.

Being able to walk instead of waddle.

Having cute wee clothes in the wash as well and admiring teeny wee outfits on the washing line!!

heliumballoon · 06/02/2012 19:17

No longer having to worry if the baby was moving enough. Counting the kicks drove me to distraction as my DD was so quiet in the womb. I am just so glad she is out safely!
