How did you know you were pg? What were your very first symptoms?

(Sorry if this has been done, had a bit of a scroll through...)

broccolitrees · 10/01/2012 14:10

for me it was nausea about 3 weeks closely followed by insomnia and a bad mood Grin

Whatevertheweather · 10/01/2012 14:12

Peeing a lot for me. Now 6 weeks still no nausea or sore boobs but still have the bladder of a gnat

planetpotty · 10/01/2012 14:12

A drained feeling similar to a hangover and turning into a door mouse!

charkey · 10/01/2012 14:16

turning into a door mouse? :)

Waking up in the night convinced someone was smoking or the house was on fire - all three times. Very odd.

HeyNiki · 10/01/2012 14:19

The most horrendously sore boobs I have ever experienced!

Mikocat · 10/01/2012 14:20

Being INCREDIBLY tired and thinking I was coming down with the 'flu (this also happened to my Mum who thought that DB was the 'flu).

Plus lots of symptoms incredibly close to PMT, cramps, backache etc.

planetpotty · 10/01/2012 14:20

GrinGrin sleepy all the time not growing whiskers and big ears Smile

planetpotty · 10/01/2012 14:23

Just googled in case I was actually potty... Its dormouse ( not door mouse) from Alice in wonderland at the tea party he's all ways nodding off!

InmaculadaConcepcion · 10/01/2012 14:47

Funny taste in mouth, tender boobs, mild queasiness, heartburn, hunger.....

ISpyPlumPie · 10/01/2012 15:00

Being very tired, tingly boobs and a strangely increased sense of smell.
I had already done a test (tested v. early) but couldn't quite believe I had got a BFP, so was on the extra-lookout for 'symptoms'/anything different to convince myself I was actuall pg. Don't think I really believed I was until the first scan tbh.

ShesAStar · 10/01/2012 15:30

I always get a tingling sensation in my nipples, once I feel that I know!

granhands · 10/01/2012 15:34

Sore boobs and breathlessness (sp) going up stairs, unfortunate if you live in a three storey house. Oh yeah and having to wee ALL THE TIME.

HonkSquonkFronk · 10/01/2012 15:34

Being sick/nausea from about a week before my period was due each time. When I started being sick the second time I knew I was pg, but it was too early to test and had to wait to test and get my BFP.

stripeyZ · 10/01/2012 15:36

Bloating, feeling flushed and increased discharge (sorry if TMI) were my really early symptoms.

Lozza70 · 10/01/2012 15:52

Funny muscle pains in my shoulders at about 3 weeks every time and really sore boobs, even more so than usual period thing and crushing tiredness. I could and did fall asleep anywhere.

wineandcheese · 10/01/2012 15:58

I didn't know I was pregnant at the time but getting my legs waxed was pure torture. Irritability and tingling nipples should have been other giveaways but I put the former down to Christmas cabin fever!

kiki22 · 10/01/2012 16:33

I felt like i was having a really bad period except without the blood and cramp... if that makes any sense Confused

kiki22 · 10/01/2012 16:33

Oh that started about week 3 and by week 4 i thought this is more than a period coming

melliebobs · 10/01/2012 16:39

I was 4 days late so poas. Pretty simple really. Didn't get symptoms till 8 weeks ish

MillontheFloss · 10/01/2012 16:45

Glad I'm not alone in having very few symptoms. I'm 6 weeks today and the only reason I guessed I was pregnant was my period being late! Had twinges and cramps around 5 weeks and need to pee more often but that's it...

McBaby · 10/01/2012 17:16

Back ache and cramps at 3 weeks. Implatation??

InmaculadaConcepcion · 10/01/2012 17:36

Ah yes, I've had implantation bleeding each time.

And breathlessness and light-headedness (forgot about those).

ladyWinterfell · 10/01/2012 17:39

Being over-sensitive to bad smells, a truck passing by as i was walking along pavement and the smell making me retch....o-oh time to pee on a stick Grin

InmaculadaConcepcion · 10/01/2012 17:42

Yep to the smell thing.

After a few weeks (about week 6 or so), unexpected aversions to things - alcohol (didn't even know I was pg when offered a glass of Sangria - which I usually love - but pushed it away virtually untouched), coffee and - weirdly - fresh fruit.
