and I don't mean the bump growing.

Last time I got a benign gum tumour called an Epulis of Pregnancy. Had never heard about them before. I couldn't eat on one side, and it kept bleeding - not nice. It did go away after I had my DS.

This time - I'm developing skin tags around my eyes. Again I had no idea this was a possible side effect of being pregnant but googling shows me that it is fairly common. I have one on each eyelid now which is really attractive.

Bump covered in fine hair, which Im sure wasnt there pre bump.

JambalayaWarmMincePie · 05/12/2011 20:09

My armpit hair has stopped growing - I havent shaved them since I found out at the end of August.

Theyve also stopped sweating. Its all very bizarre.

Confused
Coldcuppacoffee · 05/12/2011 20:19

Yes, not sweating much last time but remember sweating like no one's business after the birth.

Slightly bemused by why my skin won't heal if I get a spot, or only being able to poo at 3am.

Gingersnap88 · 05/12/2011 23:18

My palms changed colour! I woke up one morning to patchy palms with orange-brown marks on them (like fake tan). Very strange! Grin

kiteflying · 06/12/2011 01:32

Ditto on underarm hair (and leg hair) growth slowing to a standstill - weird. Don't know whether to bother getting a tidy up wax before the birth (this week) as there is so little to remove.

Same as Crosshair & NatashaBee - my stomach is getting covered in hair. I have dark brown hair as well, so I'm paranoid that my bump's starting to resemble DP's furry belly!! Also Coldcuppacoffee's non-healing spots is sounding familiar. I have one on my stomach (again!) and one on my top lip which looks like a coldsore, but is a spot. Both have been araound for about 2-3 weeks now.

God, I feel sexy!! Hmm

Not exactly to my body but when I was pregnant with my dd I would get this very strange clicking noise coming from my bump every couple of days. It didn't happen during my pregnancy with DS and every midwife I have mentioned it too looked at me as if I were mad, but I wasn't, DH heard it too.

Enfyshedd · 06/12/2011 03:03

Am only 15+2 at the mo, but DP already has 2 boys (a girl would be nice to even the numbers up a bit, but I'm not holding my breath). I do normally have symptoms of high testosterone levels anyway though, although I've never been tested for it.

Me too with the hair thing. Used to have to shave my legs more than once a week, dont think Ive needed to do them in at least 12 weeks (good job too, as I just cant twist that way anymore). This may seem like a bonus, but it has it's downsides: I overplucked my eyebrows ages ago, and thought i'd be able to sort them out as they grew back in, bloody buggers have never returned yet. Im envisaging turning into some sort of Yeti the moment the baby is born.

Also allergic to my wedding ring, wombat though only on my left hand. It has spent the last 4 months on my right hand no bother (yet left hand flares up as soon as I try and swap back)

I thought hairy belly was a boy symptom, but a friend has a furry belly and she is definetly having a girl, so who knows!

SchrodingersMew · 06/12/2011 06:10

I had something called "itch of pregnancy" which apparently meant I was allergic to my sons DNA! Confused

That stabbing pain in the fanjo. Shock Painful!

Hair stopping growing and not sweating.

Ermm a lot of discharge and basically being soaked with it... Blush

Witchofthenorth · 06/12/2011 07:59

Oh god yy with the discharge! What's the deal with that? I appear to have built a discharge making machine in my fanjo Confused hopefully it shall disappear in a couple of weeks though :)

I have had skin tags, skin tags and more bloody skin tags, no leg hair, copious amounts of snot, stabbing pains in fanjo, weird spasming leg thingummy, non healing spots, and itching.....oh god the itching!

I don't think there has ever been a point in my life where I have felt more sexy :o

Pippaandpolly · 06/12/2011 08:04

I wasn't impressed with having a blocked nose overnight for almost the entire pregnancy, plus nightly nose bleeds for the last few weeks. No idea why either happened but it was very annoying.

stinkingbishop · 06/12/2011 08:04

Pregnancy rhinitis. No, never heard of it before either. Like I've become allergic to my entire house/office/world. I can sneeze 9 times in a row and obviously that makes the bump hurt...

Cheese, any kind of cheese, even cheesey effin strings, makes my face go red and my temperature rises.

Itchy bump. Hairy bump - and it's girls, so definitely not an exclusive boy thing!

elbett · 06/12/2011 08:21

Hair! Furry belly, but my leg hair seems to have been at the 'slightly prickly' stage for weeks now... Weird.

Snot with bits of blood in it during the second trimester... Real attractive Hmm

GwendolineMaryLacedwithBrandy · 06/12/2011 08:23

Skin tags everywhere. I've turned into my mother.

Pursang · 06/12/2011 08:36

I got tiny raised bumps that would break out randomly over my body that would itch like hell! Schrodingers, does this sound like the 'itch of pregnancy' that you had?

thousandDenierStocking · 06/12/2011 08:57

I had itch of pg / PUPPP (are they the same? Confused ) last time - horrendous.

This time I have had the pleasure of 10x more earwax than usual.

mmmmmm I'm irresistable.

stinkingbishop · 06/12/2011 08:58

Do you think we were what Milibean was referring to when he talked about 'the squeezed middle'?

Bad joke, sorry ;)

notcitrus · 06/12/2011 09:42

In my first pregnancy I started producing earwax for the first time in my life. Loads of it. Disgusting!

Sensitive skin - can't stand any bumps or knocks or rough clothes. Itching all over except my palms and soles of my feet, which apparently means it's not serious.
This time - acquired allergy to either dogs or my ILs house. Gone off any but the blandest food. And my eyesight has got distinctly worse so I'm having to remember to wear the glasses I got a couple years ago and never got used to wearing - luckily the vertigo induced by seeing round the lenses isn't so bad now.

Was sweating like a pig in first trimester but does seem to have stopped now (29 wks)

Witchofthenorth · 06/12/2011 10:02

Oooh yes joyful the raised itchy bumps....I have them either side of my eyes...weird! Also, how could I forget...the farting. Those farts that you don't know are coming till you bend over, or walk upstairs, turn in bed Blush . I have no issue with the stealth farts at home, but when in morrisons and bending down to get selection boxes....need I say more?

HappyAsEyeAm · 06/12/2011 10:41

I developed two boils on my inner thighs, quite near my labia. They just subsided, but they were purple and horrible and I was starting to get worried, and then they just went.

And although the stretch marks on my stomach that appeared at 39 weeks were silvery, I got stretch marks on the very tops of my innder thighs which were very deep and purple. Ugh.
