I just had my fetal anomaly scan and there appeared to be a unilateral eulagenic (??) area to the right of the lung. It appears as a clear area. Any ideas what this might be ?

Going to have another scan at fetal medicine centre this pm?

BRILLIANT! Very very pleased for you, you must have cried and cried. Also, IME, it's great to know about things before your baby is born, so that they don't come as a shock straight after birth. Big smiles and hugs....and hope you can get a good night's sleep!!

Tillysmummy · 05/11/2003 17:36

Thanks Tamum.
Dinosaur, I agree about the bonding that's what I felt. It would help me bond better.
Blu, I have cried and cried the last two days, in fact every scan i've had (about 6 !!) i've burst into tears in !!! I feel like a new woman. I know that it's still there but the thought that it will 95% + be okay is a great comfort.
Wow a son ! I was convinced it was another dd, not sure what do with the willy !

Tillysmummy · 05/11/2003 17:46

oh so true !!! In fact in the scan at the fetal medicine centre on Monday when I asked the sex the doc said she couldn't see because the hand was covering it up and I said must be a boy and sure enough it was !

Hurray Hurray Hurray. I am so pleased for you. Bookmark this thread and re-read it when you ever get those panicky moments. I used to get my test results out and re-read them to reassure myself. I found out that my baby was a boy for exact same reason - it was so great when he was born. I could ring everyone up and say "he's here!".

It was my wedding anniversary yesterday too - 3 years, did you have fireworks at your wedding?

aloha · 05/11/2003 21:10

Thank you all again for your lovely well wishes. Countessdracula, :0 that's really made me chuckle ! Or I could be TillyandWilly's mum.

Thanks ladies. Yes it is a massive relief. I will just have to keep everything crossed until the next scan in 3 weeks. Am sure it will all be ok.
