I swear hormones have a ton to answer for. Today I got upset because I couldn't find any of DDs sippy cups. Tuesday I cried because the place I was calling to track my order was constantly engaged.

cjbk1 · 18/11/2011 09:18

Oh dear ladies I'm reading this and crying about most of the stuff just reading it!I cried (behind the wheel) the other day when I saw our John Lewis had the Christmas trees made of lights iykwim up BUT my youngest is 3 1/2! so what im trying to say is that all this weeping probably might not stop after pregnancy xxx

vix1980 · 18/11/2011 10:25

Ive woken everyone up just laughing at these and crying along with them, seriously crying at toothbrushes and feeling every one of them then leaving with none might just be the funniest thing ive ever read.

I cried when i put my slippers on the wrong feet, but didnt realise and walked round for a few hours crying my feet felt different Sad

I cried yesterday because tesco had no red onions left, i literally had to put down my basket and leave the store as people were looking at me.

I cried when i got a tesco delivery last week, i meant to put 1 kg of bananas and instead put 10kg, we ended up with about 45 bananas. Im crying now just thinking of it, they arrived in 2 carrier bags, and the man said "ooh someone loves bananas don't they". I felt my eyes fill up when he said that.

I wont even watch children in need tonight, im moving house tomorrow so would probably still be crying then if i watched it.

dobbybono · 18/11/2011 12:36

i cried when i sneezed whilst holding my bowl of weetabix and it went on the floor.

paddypoopants · 18/11/2011 12:40

I burst into tears at a picture in the paper of Boris Johnson hugging David Cameron during his London Mayor campaign. I have no idea why- I don't even live anywhere near London. I was basically inconsolable for about 20 mins.

dobbybono · 18/11/2011 12:41

vix1980 i would have cried at bananas,at least not 45 multi packs of toilet rolls x

Belini · 18/11/2011 12:41

I cried a few weeks ago. Had just moved house with the help of my wonderful friends. Money had been tight due to finding deposits and renting vans. My lovely friends said they were going home but instead they went to supermarket and got me four big bags of shopping dropped it on the doorstep and knocked then drove off before i could get to the door. I was standing on the doorstep thinking stupid delivery man has got the wrong house! Phoned my friend to give her a laugh then she explained. I couldn't speak for nearly an hour I was a sobbing hiccuping mess because I was so overwhelmed with their generosity.

Mikocat · 19/11/2011 10:15

vix1980 I am crying laughing at the bananas!

I cry whenever a soppy love song comes on my ipod and I think about DH!

Mercedes519 · 19/11/2011 10:29

yummy you can dye your hair in pregnancy, you just have to do the allergy test which we never do every time as you can more sensitive to chemicals.

I would just add to this thread that it doesn't wear off for months afterwards. DS was about 6 weeks old and I watched ER where you didn't know if Abby had lost the baby. OMG, I sobbed for hours....

I also remember sobbing because I was petrified that my belly button was going to stick out. I was obsessed with it.

AllIWant85 · 19/11/2011 13:29

Sat here quietly sobbing now as my dh is sat in the computer room planning what meals to make this week from a first trimester meal planner. This is whilst he is listening to our wedding song.

He has informed me that once he has finished his list he is going to go food shopping ( first time ever!)

Bless him! Blush

MissTapestry · 20/11/2011 10:50

Belini that has just set me off again, what wonderful friends you have Smile

Mum2be79 · 20/11/2011 11:07

2 weeks ago I cried because:

  1. My TA was poorly after my return from having 4 days off due to heightened BP.
  2. Being alone on playground duty with 100 KS1 children.
  3. The Dementia advert
  4. My Deputy Head shouting at me because of a timetable issue I was having.
  5. My colleague asking if I was okay!?!
  6. A 'click' at school winning the adult fancy dress competition (which was 'news' to the rest of the staff about there being one) and me not involved (can't find anything to fit!)

I had 3 weeks of hormonal 'fits'. Fine now! Grin

roz1982 · 20/11/2011 20:45

Just had to add this...

Am 40+3 today and before me and dh ventured out on a short walk to have some dinner. Everywhere was packed and hot but we found somewhere to sit and eat. By this point though I just wanted to go back home again, what actually set me off was sitting in a normal chair and being just unbelievably uncomfortable and far away from the table and ginormous.

Just was so upset that I couldn't even sit in a chair in a restaurant any more!!!

purplehonesty · 21/11/2011 20:01

The john Lewis advert when the little boy waits all month to give his parents the presents he has bought.
And last years john Lewis advert when the mum and dad sneak the rocking horse into the house while the kids are watching telly.

Alisonjayjay · 22/11/2011 12:43

I was trying to light my gas cooker one day and I dropped a box of matches on the floor and they scattered everywhere. I cried like a baby. I also cried at the opening ceremony of the Olympics in 2004 when I was pregnant with my son. It was the same year the tv show friends ended and I cried at that too. I seemed to cry at everything!

mrskitchen · 26/11/2011 13:06

Thank god for all these posts, makes me feel so normal!
I very nearly cried when my friend said he was really enjoying the restaurant I'd picked for dinner. #loser

mrskitchen · 26/11/2011 13:07

purplehonesty me too, that advert is so sweet!

Panda1234 · 26/11/2011 13:14

I know someone mentioned Ice Planet before, but did anyone see the bit with the penguins?

The bloke penguins had to look after the eggs all winter while the lady penguins went off to do penguin things (dunno what). The first penguin couple that were reunited had a lovely fluffy chick. But the next one, the penguin wife came back to find her chick had died. Poor penguins. I was soo upset for them.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 28/11/2011 19:57

Thanks Mercedes519 will go and get it done, so happy Smile

Langoria · 30/11/2011 16:35

I just cried and cried for no reason at all last night for about an hour on and off!!! Then I ate some crisps followed by icecream and I was fine!
Husband thought it was very funny. ha ha

journoem · 30/11/2011 16:38

I started thinking about the Berlin wall for no real reason the other night and cried for about 20 minutes while thinking about how horrible it must have been... DP was like "WTF" and all I could say was "But imagine if we were on different sides of the wall!" Hmm

technoduck · 08/12/2011 10:11

reading this, my dp asking if i want rice cakes when i didnt, not knowing what kind of risotto to make, the tie on my dressing gown going in my drink, and frozen planet!

Midds · 23/12/2011 22:01

Every single Salvation Army TV ad or article about old people being alone at Christmas... DH is threatening to remove the TV unless I get a grip.

Oeisha · 25/12/2011 01:30

Don't know if this is a stupid thing to cry about or not. But I'm AWAKE...borderline homicidal, indigestion (gaviscon isn't working), headache, heavy breathing/snoring DH and a very wriggly baby (which, is lovely, but goddamit I'm AWAKE). Took me ages to get to sleep too, thanks to the above, minus headache, plus neigbours throwing furniture at the walls (or something) until 11.45. Deliberatly didn't nap in the afternoon to try and ensure a decent night's sleep...
...bet Father Christmas doesn't visit now...what with BEING A-BLOODY-WAKE!!!
Xmas Sad

Yummymummyyobe1 · 28/12/2011 09:48

I cried on Christmas Day because I ripped my wrapping papper whilst opening my presents. xx
