I swear hormones have a ton to answer for. Today I got upset because I couldn't find any of DDs sippy cups. Tuesday I cried because the place I was calling to track my order was constantly engaged.

I cried on Saturday when my husband said I couldn't go to the supermarket with him! He was totally totally taken aback as was I! I'm just not like that Blush so I ended up going and sure enough he was right, I was really slow waddling around and made us really late!

I cried in Sainsburys today as there was too many toothbrushes in sale and they had some out of the packets so you could feel them.... Spent ages looking and feeling then cried and left with no toothbrushes Sad

This thread has made me cry :o and laugh!

I said in another thread but I sobbed like a baby on Friday night when hubby cracked open a bottle of beer. He ended up pouring it down the sink and feeling really really guilty about 'being insensitive' :o

SausageSmuggler · 13/11/2011 20:19

I very nearly cried at the end of Ice Age earlier where the mammoth had her baby. Blush

annekins · 13/11/2011 20:33

The washing up always makes me cry, but thats a minor domestic dispute that will never be resolved due to a difference of opinion over how long it's acceptable to leave stuff for!

I daren't watch the Lion King as I bawl my eyes out it when not pregnant so I hate to think what would happen now!

NeopreneMermaid · 15/11/2011 11:15

The opening credits of In The Night Garden. Every. Effing. Night.

shellywellybaby1 · 15/11/2011 13:08

aw reading through these posts has made me well up and also giggle - the thing that did it for me the other day was the John Lewis advert O my days!! avoid at all costs!!

allhailtheaubergine · 15/11/2011 13:21

I have been a hormotional wreck this entire pregnancy.

I think the highlight was sitting at traffic lights (1st trimester) and sobbing because I was imagining making a speech about my daughter on her wedding day. Daughter is 5 yrs old and shows no signs of impending nuptials.

In the last week alone I have cried because...
A wasp chased me (propper sobbing into dh's chest)...
Dd's teacher said dd was being her usual happy self at school...
A leaflet from school containing the information that 5 yr olds can sometimes find it hard to process complex instructions ("Oh god I'm such an awful mother for asking dd to go upstairs AND clean her teeth poor child")

buonasera · 16/11/2011 07:49

I read a thing in the Metro about a man who was saved from drowning by his dog. I'm slightly tearing up about it now.

PaintYouByNumbers · 16/11/2011 07:59

i used to be able to cry on command, all dp had to say was "don't cry" (not nastily like)
and there was the time i wanted chocolate and all i had was one sachet of chocolate angel delight, i couldn't find my whisk (or a big enough bowl) sat down with it , discovered it was lumpy, and just broke down..

i was completely batty when i was pregnant!

Grumpla · 16/11/2011 08:07

I can't read Peepo at the moment because when the baby sees "his Father kissing him goodnight" at the end and the daddy is in his uniform about to go out on patrol in the night time I worry that a bomb is going to fall on him.

I never even noticed it was set in the Blitz when I was a kid!

Also cried last night because DH was about to go out then stayed at home to keep me company instead.

Then cried again whilst watching Spooks.

Then again whilst watching Educating Essex.

You know, I am normally quite tough.

Gok Wan on how to look good naked. And extreme home makeover. Every time Blush

Xiaoxiong · 16/11/2011 09:26

I cried this morning because I woke myself up snoring. In my defence it was only 15 min after I finally dropped off, and I am shattered having been awake from 4.30am to 7am.

The cancer research ad with the old chap sitting on his own on the couch at the end. Crying again just thinking about it...

Youremindmeofthebabe · 16/11/2011 09:41

I cried last night over DP's inability to follow a recipe. A fish pie, and he put blue cheese in it.

It was actually really good, and I felt a bit guilty afterwards.

phlossie · 16/11/2011 09:45

DH got the wrong flavour Doritos. Bad DH.

Karmanna · 16/11/2011 10:34

I cried because there was no Burger King at the airport when we were going on holiday and I really wanted a chicken burger. Then I cried the other day when the mouse on our laptop was playing up. Thank god maternity leave starts next Friday!

Mikocat · 16/11/2011 16:16

I cried because I got splashed by a van when it was raining. I also cried because DH said he couldn't put his pyjamas on yet because he had to wait for shopping to be delivered, I felt so sorry for him, he thought I was mental.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 16/11/2011 16:36

This week I cried because:

My DP stayed at the weekend and stole all the duvet

My DP couldn't stay last night

We can't fit a dishwasher in at the new house and had to cancel it.

My chicken burger at weatherspoons was over filling and then I cried later on as I was hungry and wanted the other half.

The supermarket had run out of my favourate washing powder and they hadn't saved me a box

That my favourate underwear no loner fit

Seeing my bump and hoping that I was doing everything right by the LO and then again because I might not be cut out for mummyhood

Seeing a bottle of champagane in the wine rack an knowing it will remain unopened.

That I can't get my hair coloured and being able to see my roots.

I broke a glass and plate.

Good week so far really.

fragglemummy1 · 16/11/2011 16:38

I cried because DH suggested that Ola off Strictly Come Dancing was having an affair with her dance partner. 'But she is married to James Jordan and they seem like such a lovely couple' I sobbed.

I also cried at Frozen Planet when the baby seal got carried off by the bird.

justhayley · 16/11/2011 16:58

I love this thread! I cried in tesco because I was hungry & couldn't decide what I wanted to eat, and I cried today watching Jeremy Kyle when they did lie detector results that came back as the truth!!!

MissTapestry · 16/11/2011 18:45

Ahem, I cried yesterday because DP was trying to show me how to do long multiplication (or whatever it's called) and I just couldn't understand what he meant!

nocluenoclueatall · 16/11/2011 21:00

Okay beat this. I cried telling my husband about that new John Lewis ad. I wasn't even watching it at the time.

Could have saved myself £5 on the pregnancy test really, should have known there and then I was up the duff.

Weeping as you tell someone that a small boy is getting excited about christmas? I didn't even tell him the punchline FFS.

nocluenoclueatall · 16/11/2011 21:04

Just reading back through the thread? PEEPO! Peepo oh my god. My grandad was a fire warden during the war... with three small children at home.

wails

FairyArmadillo · 16/11/2011 21:14

Pregnant in 2008- I burst into tears at work when someone put the News on and Britney Spears had been taken into psychiatric care and her kids would be taken off her.

Grumpla · 16/11/2011 22:50

Thank goodness it's not just me, noclue !
