My best friend's just found out she's 10 weeks PG and I was thinking of putting together a little pack of treats for her and stuff she might need to help make the next 30 weeks a bit easier.
I was thinking skin creams, supplements and special 'me time' treats.
What would you recommend? What would you want to have?

a dream genii pillow Grin

louby86 · 01/11/2011 10:33

Sanctuary do some lovely mum to be stuff in boots, I also got bought some things from lush that were lovely too! Chocolate also helps! What a lovely idea, that's very thoughtful of you!

Witchofthenorth · 01/11/2011 11:21

I second the dream genii pillow!! Have only just found out about them and have only got 9 weeks to go so not going to bother buying one, however, she will love you for it........maybe not right now but def later on in her pregnancy.

GhoulishGlendaFestersAgain · 01/11/2011 11:23

Bottle of bio oil
Tube of pile cream
Some books to read while she still has time
A tshirt that says - yes I do know what I am having thanks, and no, you may not touch my bump.

bezzyk · 01/11/2011 11:28

I got a lovely mum to be pack in Neal's yard yesterday, bought it for a friend, but think I may hang on to it myself!

sazzermol · 01/11/2011 11:50

The Sanctuary mum to be body butter is amazing for keeping bump smooth and stretch mark free (so far - 33wks) and smells divine.

benjalamummy · 01/11/2011 12:05

A voucher for a pedicure for when she can't reach her toes anymore.

And lots of lovely Sanctuary mum to be stuff...mmmm

PamBeesly · 01/11/2011 12:10

a pregnancys supply of chocolate :) you are so sweet to be thinking of her. a lovely soft nightie too, a few sizes bigger

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 01/11/2011 12:28

Chocolate! lots of it :o

And yes, the Sanctuary stuff. Now every time I smell Sanctuary I think of lying in the bath rubbing my enormous bump.

Some aromatherapy oils as well although worth checking with someone who knows about such things as there are some that they say you shouldn't have near you in pregnancy. But I loved lavender and clary sage much later on in pregnancy.

FeastofBeans · 01/11/2011 12:38

I second the soft nightie (or dressing gown)
Plus her bodyweight in cheese-she-can-eat!

Flisspaps · 01/11/2011 12:39

The only thing I would really want is a big pile of aeroplane sick bags. Had to make do with doubled-up nappy bags in the car home from PIL's house last week...

LaVitaBellissima · 01/11/2011 12:42

I love the Sanctuary mum to be lavender bath salts, they are gorgeous, I'm still using them now (a year after giving birth) Smile
Bio oil
A bottle of Champagne for when the baby arrives Grin
DVD box set, I spent hours watching tv when pregnant & in the early days of breast feeding.
Mars refuel chocolate milkshake - it was the only thing that stopped me feeling sick!

flywiththeeagles · 01/11/2011 13:19

Boo Boo do some lovely products. I got mine at www.globalmaternity.com www.globalmaternity.com/1e/Pregnancy+Skin+Care/0_CAAA015

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 01/11/2011 14:43

sanctury is lush but have to say I found neal's yard even lusher!
pregnancy massage voucher for later on
make a cheque book of babysitting vouchers
peppermint tea
a lovely bottle of red she can either keep til after or she can drink a glass of once or twice a week during depending on what she wants to do alcohol wise - so make sure it's one that will keep well once opened
vouchers for nice maternity/nursing bras (HotMilk or Elle McPherson)

H007 · 01/11/2011 15:04

Definately stuff for her... As everyone will be saying to her "oh I got you a little something" and when she gets it, it will actually be a little something for bubba!!

Cupcake32 · 01/11/2011 16:19

Elemis Japanese Camellia Oil - I am certain that rubbing this oil on my bump from around 16 weeks prevented me from having stretch marks.

FrogGreen · 01/11/2011 16:23

dr haushka bath oils are amazing

those little tabby things to extend your bras

a swiss ball / gym ball thing, was the only place I could sit comfortably by about 34 weeks!

architien · 01/11/2011 16:29

I know it's boring but Vitabiotics multi-vits- the one with the omega-3 made such a difference for my pregnancies as did neal's yard mother's pack which has the most devine cremes and massage oil. A beautiful feeding nightie from Past Times, cool cotton and fits right through the pregnancy sweats and then perfect for feeding afterwards. A voucher for pregnancy massage would be the cherry on the cake :)

SausageSmuggler · 01/11/2011 17:16

I treated myself The Sanctuary mum to be box last time and the bath salts were really lovely. Maybe a box of decaf teabags or something.

Pastabee · 01/11/2011 17:24

I'd second the pedicure idea. IMO there is nothing nicer than someone running your feet and making them look pretty when you are pregnant.

blueskydrinking · 01/11/2011 18:51

Definitely the Neal's Yard stuff. And something soft - just about every body part craves something soft by the last trimester so it could be anything!

Will you be my best friend??! Grin How lovely.

jimmijam · 01/11/2011 19:19

Neals yard

or

some incense sticks, bubble bath, foot soak, candles- that type of thing. Its these little things that make a huge difference (did 4 me anyway)

pastamouse · 01/11/2011 20:03

Massive knickers. Like old-lady-under-the-boob massive.
Sheer over the bump bliss :)))

Tinkerisdead · 01/11/2011 20:13

Ahhh yes. Im 25 weeks and i may show this to my dh. Lovely bath stuff. A pedicure would be amazing. My big nighties and huge knicks from my c section last time are proving fab for pregnancy. Chocolates are good. A box you can eat without sharing and not feel guilty. Loads of great ideas on here. I'd love some trashy mags too, things i could dip in and out of.

highlandbird · 01/11/2011 20:23

Another vote for the Sanctuary mum to be stuff, a nice book (or trashy mags depending which she'd prefer :D ) and a BIG box of chocolates......I used to spend hours in the bath with my big bump! You're a fab friend :) maybe a fruit hamper too I craved lovely exotic fresh fruits when pregnant but others might think thats a bit boring?
