Which is the least revolting antacid? Any thoughts?

Yep, that wonderful pregnancy symptom of heartburn is upon me.

It's not helped by the only hot drink I can stomach is currently black weak coffee. I'm mostly on decaf anyway.

I went to the chemist and bought some gaviscon chewable tablets, but the sludge they produce is really thick and yucky and makes me gag. Rennies seem a little less gloopy, but don't seem to be as effective.

Can anyone recommend a good type/brand flavour of antacid? There are about 50 types in the chemist and I'll go bankrupt if I have to buy all of em!

I swear by a half mug of hot milk after dinner. You love it or hate it, but for me it stops the heartburn and sends me to sleep

I get terrible heartburn, and was shocked that gaviscon, which worked a treat first time round, didn't work in subsequent pregnancies. Now I absolutely swear by asda's own brand fruit flavour antacid tablets. Cheap, actually tasty, and the only thing that works for me. 3 before bed and I'm sorted all night. Wonderful things. Don't get the mint variety though - they're foul.
