LOL at 'three'.
and 'Bloody boggle'! I would have drawn the line at that, too!

BluStocking · 22/12/2005 00:01

Call him 'boggle'!

Sorry to hijack, but for the benefit of Chipmunksroastingonanopenfire, old episodes of Wanderlywagon are now available on DVD (in Ireland anyway) - my aunt has just sent one to my kids for Christmas. Dh and I can't wait to watch it. Apparenly Bosco is also available!

Rory is no good for people like myself who can't pronounce their "R"s. "War-wy" - embarassing.

I once had to work for a man called Rory - it was a disaster.

My ex-husband's name was very similar and no one ever had a clue what I was talking about.

I love the name Rory and would have loved it if I had another boy. You can always choose a second name that is easy to pronounce just in case he can't say 'r'.

I have a female cousin who now spells her name - Rori. I think it is to let people know that she is female. She is about 33. Errol Flynn called his daughter Rory too.

My three year old DS is Alec. He is beautiful. However, I think it is thought of as an old man's name in the UK (at least Cod thinks so) I'm in Australia.

Perhaps it is too close to your husband's name.

dont know if anyone cares anymore, but we have had a breakthrough! we now have a shortlist of 6 names on which we both agree, each with the agreed (and inevitable) shortening, and Rory is not on the list!

thanks to everyone for all the input, and soz to all who love Rory, in all its various guises, but i just couldnt come round to loving it enough.

i dont even remember whats on the list right now (total 8.5 mth pg brain today) but i did write it down somewhere so thats alright then
