Inspired by another post :)

I know it doesnt mean anything but I thought we could compare (or make me feel a bit more normal when I find someone with one close to my own Grin)

I am 31 weeks and 46 inches around the waist :(
But I have just eaten my dinner...........

33 weeks and 46 inches.

Ivortheengine8 · 15/08/2011 20:36

Have you or have you not had dinner dribbleface?

lolajane2009 · 15/08/2011 20:42

35 + 3 and 43 inches. I miss my feet and my 29 inch waist.

dribbleface · 15/08/2011 20:43

yep had dinner. to be honest my bump changes shape and size daily! most of my pregnancy weight seems to attach itself to my bum!

CBear6 · 15/08/2011 20:44

I haven't dared measure this time (I might later on though!) but with DS I was measuring 54" around my "equator" at 39 weeks - I was huge but so was DS and I had a lot of fluid.

I'm carrying smaller this time. Now where's that tape measure?

Ivortheengine8 · 15/08/2011 20:48

But then I guess if you are smaller in general your bump would look bigger?

cbear - get it out!

I have to admit it is irritating as everywhere else I can get my size 12s on which means I look like I've swallowed a watermelon, especially as I am only 5ft 3. I went for a meal today and heard someone say 'that girl looks ready to give birth' and also got asked yesterday 'are you sure theres one in there?' and told I wouldnt make it to my due date.... charming.

runaroundstartsnow · 15/08/2011 21:09

With DD1 i measured 60inchs and i am only 63" tall ! i did however have pre-eclampsia and was full of fluid.

Ivortheengine8 · 15/08/2011 21:30

Really lola? You are really lucky. I went up 2 sizes with dd and probably again another with this one :( I am pretty determined that I am going to get my arse in gear after this one though and get back down again. (DH said 2 is enough so won't be having any more in a hurry)
Runaround was that at 40 weeks? I guess the amount of fluid you have varies too.

waist? what waist? 36 weeks and mine seems to have disappeared entirely and im sure i don't have a long enough tape measure to go around the place where it used to be.

Ivortheengine8 · 15/08/2011 21:55

Really Kitty? maybe you have engaged and its all gone down to your pelvis?! Grin

When I was on the pg boards (many many moons ago), we used to measure round our bumps using loo roll. I think we got up to nine or ten sheets . . .

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 15/08/2011 22:07

46" at 33weeks. I am all bump though, no weight anywhere else at all and measuring 3weeks too big according to my MW.

MrsRhettButler · 15/08/2011 22:20

I'm in the bath but when I get out I'll do it, are we measuring around where the bellybutton is? I'm 37 + 2 weeks and I'm a little scared to measure but I will

CBear6 · 15/08/2011 22:20

Okay, persuaded DH to hunt for the tape measure on the promise that I wouldn't cry or blame him in any way, shape, or form for doing this to me. So here it is ....

36+1 and 49".

I am officially Saturn but a very contented Saturn and I'm sure my feet are enjoying having a break from my constant scrutiny, we'll have a joyful reunion in a few weeks all the better for being out of each others sight for a while.

My two biggest consolations are that I have no stretchmarks so far, I got loads with DS so I think it's because there's no space for them, and the fact that DH just rubbed my belly and is bringing me a blueberry cupcake and some milk :)

CBear6 · 15/08/2011 22:21

I measured around the biggest/sticky outy-est part of my bump.

Ivortheengine8 · 15/08/2011 22:25

Yes around the belly button or biggest point mrsrhett.

Thats ok cbear, that means I have 3 inches to put on before I reach 36 weeks but am sure I will outdo you!
I havent got any stretch marks yet either :)

MrsRhettButler · 15/08/2011 22:34

Well I got 45 and a half and I'm 37 weeks, I feel humungous Grin

I'm grinning because I honestly thought I was gonna be the biggest! But going from the rest I'm guessing that's average

MrsRhettButler · 15/08/2011 22:47

But I have put lots of weight everywhere else so that's why i feel so big :(

100years · 16/08/2011 05:34

Erm pre pregnancy my pot belly area as I used to call it measured 50" I was excessively over weight, I hadn't dared measure it before that, but can imagine it was a good few inches more than that as I was 2stone lighter than my heaviest. Anyway at 37 weeks my biggest bump measurement is 50" so technically I'm exactly the same size than this time last year! But way way way firmer!!!! I'm also over 2 stone lighter than this time last year! Hmmm

Everywhere else has shrunk during pregnancy! Except my boobs :)

dribbleface · 16/08/2011 07:27

i remember measuring in Loo roll too! Ds born July 2008.

nunnie · 16/08/2011 07:43

I am 34+4 and measuring 37.5.

yummymango · 16/08/2011 08:12

I just measured and was 41.5. I am 34 + 2. I usually feel smaller in the morning though so I may go up a few inches by tonight!!!
I also found some stretch marks :(

Ivortheengine8 · 16/08/2011 08:19

well, I have shrunk a bit this morning and measuring 44!

Cattleprod · 16/08/2011 08:28

Shock Shock Shock

Last night I measured 36" and felt fit to burst! This morning it's a more manageable 34". I'm 30 weeks. Sounds like I've got another 10 inches to grow!!

I feel so much bigger than last time, and DS was a macrosomic baby.
