Inspired by another post :)

I know it doesnt mean anything but I thought we could compare (or make me feel a bit more normal when I find someone with one close to my own Grin)

I am 31 weeks and 46 inches around the waist :(
But I have just eaten my dinner...........

Oh my goodness, have just measured and are 43'' at 28 weeks Blush. I'm pretty slimmish everywhere else, but in my defense this is baby number 5 so all my tummy muscles are knackered. All out front (I have no hips) though shouldn't make much difference to the measurement?

dribbleface · 16/08/2011 09:02

Diege - i have measured the same for last few weeks (so been 46 since about 30 weeks), although fundal height changing. Don't worry!

Diege · 16/08/2011 09:20

Thanks dribbleface Grin. Off to see mw today anyway so will be interesting to see what fundal height is doing. Will report back!

MrsRhettButler · 16/08/2011 11:21

WTF? I've grown half an inch since morning!

MrsRhettButler · 16/08/2011 11:21

Since morning? Since last night clearly... Confused

AngelNanny · 16/08/2011 12:17

I'm 39+2 weeks and measuring 42" around the biggest part of my tummy. Feel huge though (but everyone else constantly says 'ooo arn't you small!')

Although I lost a stone and half whilst pregnant (bad hyperemesis for first 19weeks, then since 21weeks had other health probs causing pain and sickness every night) so no weight gain anywhere else just a bump.

wish this baby would make an appearance now! lol

icravecheese · 16/08/2011 12:32

Haha! THis post has made me chuckle!! I'm 31wks & measuring 43inches round the waist (am measuring 3cm over / 34cm for fundal height this morning at midwife appt). This is 3rd babe so I'm putting it down to knackered / no stomach muscles holding anything in anymore!

icravecheese · 16/08/2011 12:34

oh, & baby is lying transverse too, so perhaps my round the waist measurement is slightly odd - if she was lying head down, presumably round the waist would be smaller [desperate clutching at straws]?!!!

lovemysleep · 16/08/2011 12:52

hello ladies - am 32+4, and have just measured in at 42".......Dear God, how big will I end up???

Eviepoo · 16/08/2011 13:38

39+2 here and 49inches

Diege · 16/08/2011 15:37

Back from mw (43 '' at 28 weeks) and fundal height spot on for dates (28 cm). Baby is breech, so there goes my theory about transverse lie! Very pointy bump with none at the sides either Hmm

spilttheteaagain · 16/08/2011 15:43

39.5 inches at 39+3 but I am measuring small.

Lollyheart · 16/08/2011 15:49

I've just done mine, between 40 and 41.

I've just got back from a growth scan and it's measuring on the line, about 5 and a half pound at 35+2

38+1 weeks measuring 50" round about.

Was at MW today fundal height measuring 42.

candr · 16/08/2011 17:07

Got measured at MW this morning (I am 34+2) and measured 32 from top of bump to bottom. She is predicting big growth spurt but as am normally a size 8 do not know ow much more I can stretch as it is already very painful with baby doing somersaults.

Ivortheengine8 · 16/08/2011 17:15

Diege, you are my friend! :) I think we are about the same. This is only second baby though!
Mrsrhett, have you been in the cookie jar hving midnight feasts?!
Icravecheese - thats a good point, I think mine is still ceph and has been since about 27 weeks. But what if a leg is sticking out into our tummy or something, surely that would make the measurment bigger?
I bet all those small ones are all curled up in a tiny neat little ball Grin
My fundal height was spot on though last time, got midife tomorrow though!
Canthink - thats good, it means I have about 7 week to gain a few more inches!
candr, you are supposed to be measuring AROUND your waist for this thread so stop cheating!

Grin Yes, I am your belly buddy. I kept scrolling back to your measurements as I think we're the most similar? Strange how around-the-belly measurements can differ so much at different gestations, but fundal heights be pretty much the same, give or take 3 cms or so

Ivortheengine8 · 16/08/2011 17:37

congrats on your 5th too! I am one of five :)

Of course it probably depends on your waist measurement before pregnancy as well, and how you are carrying...

Diege · 16/08/2011 18:24

ThanksIvor! Definitely my last...
Oddly I was a size 8 before getting pregnant and have been lucky enough to lose all the weight before getting my bfps thanks to Slimming World. But I am short-ish (5' 3'') so thinking this would have some effect too as less space for baby to spread upwards in?

Ivortheengine8 · 16/08/2011 18:42

Yes Yummy, I had DD exactly 2 years ago in October when this one is due and I never really lost the weight in between. I was a size ten -twelve before dd and shot up to a size 16, and that's what I was when I got pregnant this time. OH doesnt want any more so I am determined to lose it once and for all after I give birth. I had to have the GTT this time too because my BMI was above the cutoff point :( whereas last time I didn't.
