Formula Feed

I've just been to the midwife and been told if you formula feed you can't prepare any bottles in advance (as in previous years) , they have to be made on demand and will take a good 30mins for each prep time (including kettle cooling)
I can't help but think this is a tactic to encourage breastfeeding.

Can anyone shed any light?
Thanks

Think they should make people more aware that you can make feeds from flasks, would save people worrying while they are out that that the bottles are cold enough or having to reheat

Maybe this will be added into the guidelines, I am due again in 9 weeks so will see what they mention then, as I am guessing there have probably been some more changes since October.
Hoping to BF this time, but keeping an open mind, and now I know the flask can be sued to make bottles from scratch I think it is the better way and it would make it easier so will be doing it myself, so thank you lovesicecream.

Lol don't think I'd have known about it if the neonatal unit hadn't told me, they were far more helpful than the mw where formula feeding was concerned! I'm due again in feb so also wondering what will have changed in the 11 months between babies!

Ohh same gap as me :)
I am sure lots and not just feeding related will have changed.
