Labour must be close because not only am I absolutely starving, exhausted but unable to sleep let alone well!
But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!
I cannot stand anyone near me and nearly everything is driving me mad with misery.
I am also highly emotional.

Come moan with me, please bring warm donuts Grin

35 weeks this week. cant sleep, twitchy leg which could do with being lobbed off with a kitchen knife and erm....why did i move to the middle east???????????????? 38 degrees today. sob. gestational diabetes and the worst possible heart burn are preventing me from my ice cream love affair.
moan moan moan.

Orbinator · 12/07/2011 00:43

Don't envy you that heat or the GD :( Can you get Tums over there and are you allowed them with GD? Sorry for not being helpful. I thought my HB days were over around 34/35 wks until about 2 days ago when they returned with a vengeance. Think I got carried away and risked eating at a normal time (far too late if it's past 5pm for me) and prob have been eating more than I was too. It's a juggling act! Can you get a paddling pool to paddle in or something like a sprinkler to cool you off?

mumblebum · 12/07/2011 04:56

Good luck baby!

Georgimama · 12/07/2011 08:08

Hello back and thanks for saying hi. The ELCS is due to baby being breech and in any case v nasty 3 degree tearing with DS.

When I went for the clerking appointment with the doctor to schedule it I mentioned my awful heartburn/indegestion and she prescribed ramitidine, which is the drug they give you the night before an ELCS to get rid of stomach gas/acid for the op. I take one per day and it has killed the heartburn dead - completely gone. It's a miracle. I would suggest anyone suffering asks their GP for some as the midwife can only prescribe gaviscon to save you money, and that wasn't touching mine.

Nicplus1and1baking · 12/07/2011 08:27

Morning ladies..

Congratulations to the mummys lucky enough to had their little bundles.

Am 39 plus 5today had DD1 @ 39 plus 1 so i now feel like i have been pregnant forever!!

Hate the waiting/wondering/not knowing, my patience is at an all time now so feel terrible that dd gets the brunt of that.
I nearly burst a blood vessell yesterday when she decided to crush a packet of quavers i the carpet, am sure she knows and is doing it on purpose Grin

anyway any signs anybody - just in case ur not pissed off enough allready with ppl asking u that lol

aStarInStrangeways · 12/07/2011 08:35

Nic my DS is definitely acting up more as baby day approaches. Lots of running off because he knows mummy can't catch him - we've had two running into the road incidents recently, which he has never done before - and lots of defiant silliness. Hard to know how much of this is down to him being nearly 3, but it's wearing me out and then I feel bad because I have no patience.

mumblebum · 12/07/2011 09:18

I think I must be exuding grumpiness now, people have stopped asking when I'm due! I think people who told me I was so huge I'd never make it to my due date are positively avoiding me now...

No signs here.

Sigh.

buttonmoon78 · 12/07/2011 09:30

If only they would avoid me! But they don't!

mumblebum · 12/07/2011 09:32

I think having Mum here to do the school runs helps Grin I suppose I'm avoiding them really!

nicolamumof3 · 12/07/2011 10:03

good lucky babyonboard any update!!

good news is we're all a day closer whenever these babies decide to arrive!

prolificwillybreeder · 12/07/2011 10:06

Hi everyone. Morning new fed up pregnant ladies. Come join us :) All welcome for a moan and cake!
Congratulations to icelolly
Good luck baby

Well here is my moan: DS is driving me mad- a non sleeper!
My bump aches, I can barely walk or sit or bend- SPD. The BH's are getting longer and stronger but less frequent. I'm still suffering with, what Dr Button would call 'stubborn bowels'. Quite frankly the thought of this carrying on too much longer means I could cry! Oh and I'm now suffering from paranoia/ worrying constantly about the safety of my baby.

I'm done now :) hope I haven't frightened you all off!

Hope everyone is ok and in a better mood than I!

Morning PWB. I'm really not in a good mood at all this morning, but this thread is such a good sanity saver. Thank you so much for starting it!

2 days to go until eviction notice is served!

buttonmoon78 · 12/07/2011 10:11

Senna no good PWB? Have you been eating plenty of dried fruit too? Enough water?

I reckon I could start my own thread about paranoia Blush. You'd think as this is #4 I'd be a bit more laid back, but I think I now know too much!

Orbinator · 12/07/2011 11:00

Anyone else finding that the closer to their due date you get the more you feel like your old self? I've suddenly got my interests back and sense of humour seems to be back up to at least 90% (had severe lack of it in 1st Trimester!).

Made the mistake of writing a To Do list this morning though. Not a great idea when you have carpel tunnel until midday every day and can't use a step ladder for fear of over balancing. Plus my neighbour is taunting me by mowing their lawn when that is on my list but completely impossible Envy

Spanner loved the chicken story. Have fwd it to a few friends in need of a chicken chuckle :)

aStarInStrangeways · 12/07/2011 11:10

I know what you mean Orbinator; I have found myself browsing normal-shaped clothes online with interest once more, despite the fact that we have no money Hmm Also heard that a friend is moving to my neck of the woods so have been getting excited about enjoying a few leisurely pints with her and having a proper catch-up. Not that my interests stop at boozing and clothes, you understand Blush

pwb another worrier here, commiserations. I just wish she'd decide to pop out safe and sound so I could actually see her, rather than having to guess what's going on in there all the time.

Had shocking cramps this morning and wondered if it was significant; turned out I needed a poo Blush

nicolamumof3 · 12/07/2011 11:11

i've done a 'to do' list for dh thats about it orbinator Grin

pwb im so sorry you are feeling so crap, these last few weeks are the pits aren't they, especially with little ones to look after.

buttonmoon78 · 12/07/2011 11:13

Grin at Star. Actually, I too was looking at stuff online last night. Heels Shock We're off to a wedding 7/8wks after baby arrives and I have my dress sorted (DH spotted it in Monsoon's Christmas sale and bought it in a size bigger than normal so I 'don't have to worry about dieting' - lovely man) but I need some shoes. And fat or otherwise, I do not intend to go to another wedding in flats!

prolificwillybreeder · 12/07/2011 14:26

Think I need to continue with the senna button I saw they do one with a softener in as well. I'll find out if that one is ok in pregnancy and maybe try that one. Decaf coffee helped a bit too!
You are so right about the worrying! Before I had DS ignorance was bliss. Now I know what happens. DS' birth was a tad traumatic so that hasn't helped.
star me too, me too! You get all excited about cramps then you go to the loo and realise that's what all the fuss was about.
2 days mumble! You are very welcome, I'm glad I started it too, we can all moan and groan together.
Thanks Nicola it is so much harder with a little one to care for too. How are you doing?
I'll start a post natal one too once we've all popped. Well we'll have other things to moan about I'm sure!

witches · 12/07/2011 16:02

Well as suspected after two good nights of sleep where managed to get oh maybe 3hrs without waking up in agony last night was a shocker - knew it couldn't last. Also feel crampy and bump has been solid all day ggrr! Consultant tomorrow if baby is engaged might be getting a sweep but I don't think its moved from last week so we will c! Does the lack of sleep thing freak anyone else out because u know in your heart of hearts its not going to get any better? I try to comort myself that at least there won't be pain involved just exahustion - is it just as bad?Confused

prolificwillybreeder · 12/07/2011 16:54

Oh witches :( hope you are favourable (I bloody hate that word favourable! I don't care if I'm favourable I want my bloody sweep!)

As a mother of an non sleeper at one I am not the person to tell you it will be ok. However newborns do tend sleep a lot (mine missed this memo) hopefully you will be more comfortable once you don't have s baby inside you, you can sleep any way you like! I definitely slept better and hoping you will have the opportunity to rest.
I'm determined to rest lots more than I did with DS.

This may of not helped, sorry!

Nicplus1and1baking · 12/07/2011 19:46

Had another horrendus day with DD, decided to go shopping with sil and DD was an absolute little Fck* Grin please excuse the language.

She decided she would not go in thr pushchair and is usually really good walking etc not 2day NO 2day she decided she would re arrange the whole of H&M and then proceed to launch a whole pile of clothes on the floor!! at this i flipped smacked the back of her hand and put her kicking and screaming into the pram, so i basically turned into one of those lunatic mothers i never thought i would lol

I must say that this was not the start of it though, she had allready thrown an apple @ my head as well as pull the hand off a manachin in bhs!!

Anyway after being out of nappies for about 6 weeks now she also decided that she would wee not once but twice 2day, this was the final straw and at that i walked her again screaming to the car half naked! as these days i only carry once spare pair of clothes.

Anyway just before i trecked to the car DH called and asked if i wanted to call into M&S to pick up a lasagne OH YEAH course i do dear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rant over Smile have mw tomorrow, due thus, have never prayed for pain so much please please let it be tonight,

nicolamumof3 · 12/07/2011 20:04

oh nic its hellish isn't it. These little ones can feel their world about to turn upside down tho im sure of it. DS3 who's four tomorrow as displayed some odd behaviour of late. he started wetting the bed at easter after a whole year of being dry at night. I perserverved for several weeks then our washing machine broke down..he went back into pull ups in May and still in them at night.

With regards to lack of sleep, i still think life with a newborn is preferable to these final stages. I can't wait to be able to walk without pain. To be able to sit comfortably, to eat what i like, to run and play with the boys and get my stamina and energy back up. Not worried about losing weight but getting fit again is a must.

buttonmoon78 · 12/07/2011 20:15

I agree. As I've said before (and no doubt will again) late pg is designed to make you welcome labour not fear it. After all, a few hours of agony? Well, I'm in pretty damn near agony most of the time anyway - what's a few more hours?

Bring it on!

nicolamumof3 · 12/07/2011 20:20

Grin indeedy! And at least you know by the weekend it will all be over me Envy not remotely!!!

prolificwillybreeder · 12/07/2011 21:15

Button or Dr Button as I like to call her Grin summed it perfectly.
I am so geared up for this labour and as I can barely walk anyhow few hours of pain, meh!
Nicplus1 I like Nicola agree I swear the DC know something is going on! DS was an absolutely nightmare this wkend whilst we went to the seaside. We came home in the end he was whining so much. Nothing wrong in particular as far as I could work out, addressed all teething problems etc. Was awful. He was similar last week in town too.

I am still worrying my weeble like self silly about everything. The baby, the birth, will he be ok? Will I be ok? Will I be induced? All these what if's rearing their ugly heads. Now moving on to money as well! Argh!
Bouncing on the ball, can't decide if my backache is SPD or exciting labour backache. I suspect the first one!

I've got the rest of week booked up activity wise but now panicking I have 3 days to fill next week!

Hope all are ok.
