Little story for you ...
My DS has always had a little charming streak. In the past he has been known to say things like, "Oh, you look pretty Mummy" and "That's a pretty dress Mummy" and so on ... all unprompted and all of it has made my heart melt.
Since I got pregnant I have had some corkers, for example, "Oh Mummy, your boobies are all fat!" (loudly in the supermarket!)
But this morning's one was the best yet ...
I was getting dressed in my bedroom and DS came in while I was climbing into my new purchase (a denim maternity skirt, that I had thought was rather trendy). He stopped in his tracks and said, "Oooh, Mummy!" ... I smiled at him and waited for the usual nice compliment .... but then he continued, "What are you dressing up as?"

My son thinks I am a circus act obviously
