Hi... so just been confirmed I'm due 10th (ish) of January and would love to get chatting to some others in the same area who are also expecting... As I said In the title that includes those of you due late 2011, as well - it's a very inclusive thread - as long as you'd be able to make some meet ups in Oxfordshire and you're going through some stage of reproduction then you'd be welcome :-)

I know there's at least one more of you out there (ghost - you there?)

Stats time:

MakesCakesWhenStressed - expecting #1 EDD 10 Jan 2012

Envy at all those past 36 weeks!

It feels like all I do now is attend pregnancy-related appointments, with the odd bit of work in between! Although currently at home with a sore throat and not even allowed Lemsip to make it better!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 04/01/2012 16:21

I don't care about being one of those women who complains - but it does make me hate my friend who popped at 34 weeks even more than I did before.

Sara - I really sympathise, I had a sore throat over Christmas. It cleared up after a combination of hot water with lemon and honey, paracetamol and throat sweets.

Cakes - Think I'm in the category of being a pregnancy complainer - but complaining does make me feel better!

Moobee · 06/01/2012 05:50

Sara, I hope you're feeling better now.

I'm now 39+4 and I'll admit to feeling a tad uncomfy. OK very very uncomfy, unable to bend and with random pains and aches

Ghost, I'm hoping for the pool at the spires too, here's hoping we don't end up in a tussle over it! Grin

ghosteditor · 06/01/2012 09:14

Moobee I will fight you and I'm from Yorkshire and therefore HARD Grin. I did like the look of the sensory room too, but let's hope we meet with you with your lively baby on the way out and me on the way in Wink. I'll have to let you go first since you're a few days ahead!!!

ghosteditor · 06/01/2012 09:14

*i meant lovely but lively would be ok too!

Moobee · 06/01/2012 11:58

I see your Yorkshire and raise you Coventry. :)

Very kind of you to let me go first though! (sends mental eviction notice downwards)

ghosteditor · 06/01/2012 14:33
Grin

Still nothing here, and I want this baby out before it gets too close to my birthday (11 days after my due date)!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 06/01/2012 15:28

Sorry, ghost, but Coventry probably does win scariness wise... let's hope you can both take it in turns and I'm very glad my soft southerner Chiswick-bred behind is not having to compete for the same birthing pool!

ghosteditor · 06/01/2012 16:05

oh, I don't know, the 'Fax is a pretty dodgy place sometimes!

(I however am a bit of a softie really Wink)....

Rollersara · 06/01/2012 18:03

Still off sick, on a diet of mainly paracetamol :(

Otherwise fine, staying in bed all day isn't too strenuous! Soooo, ladies, who's next?! definitely not me

Moobee · 06/01/2012 23:04

I think me, ghost and cakes are due next (is that right? Anyone else due in the next few days?) but who knows? :)

P.S. I don't think I'm being true to my Coventry roots using words like 'tussle' I'm also a bit of a softy!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 07/01/2012 03:48

Moobee - are you going to come along to any of the Wallingford mum and bump groups I mentioned now you're on Mat leave? I can give you the details again if you need them?

OP posts:
Rollersara · 07/01/2012 10:44

I'm off to Wallingford on Thursday to my first NCT class. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute...

Moobee · 07/01/2012 10:59

Hi cakes, that would be good, I think it'll have to be post-baby as I can't drive well anymore (can't fit behind wheel)! I think it'll be good to be social ASAP with the babies!

Sara, mine were quite last minute too, I was the first due date. They were great for meeting people though.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 07/01/2012 11:07

Tues, Mongewell Nursery, 10am - 11.30 am Free parking outside

Thurs, Ridgeway Church, 10.30am - 12pm Free parking for an hour outside, or park at Goldsmiths for free for two hours

Both groups are good in different ways, but if I had to pick just one to attend I'd choose the Thursday group. The Tuesday one does have biscuits, though, which is nice ;)

There's also the dad and baby group every other Saturday which is in Cholsey, but not sure where... the people who run the Thurs group also run this one so they'll know more :)

Hope that helps you, Moobee and anyone else who's close enough to Wallingford to attend!

Hi ladies I can't believe Scarlet is 2 weeks old tomorrow, time has flown!
All going well here with feeding just not a lot of sleeping going on!
Come on girls hurry up and give baby scarlet a playmate : )

ghosteditor · 07/01/2012 22:19

Lucy that's so exciting! And how is your son adjusting to life as a big brother?

I'm doing my best! Curry, pineapple, walking, and sex have been tried in the last 48 hours or so, and nyet...

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 08/01/2012 08:32

What she said...
Plus I'm coming down with some kind of cold now

OP posts:
Lucycarr · 09/01/2012 22:56

Freddy is doing really well he seems to genuinely like his little sister, he sings to her if she cry's - too cute.
The only bit he doesn't like is dirty nappies he informed me whilst actually gagging that "I don't like yellow poo mummy I only like brown poo" bless him : )
Good girl ghost keep up the good work ; )

Lucycarr · 10/01/2012 01:21

Oh dear poor you cakes I had a cold when in labour clever bodies seem to to concentrate on one thong or another though - don't remember having to blow my nose once! Get well soon.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 10/01/2012 05:57

Thanks Lucy, actually feeling much better now, so we're good to go... hopefully... :)

Lucy, everyone at yoga said congratulations and hello! Glad to hear your little ones are getting along so well Smile.

PurplePanda · 10/01/2012 21:30

Hi all, hope all the labour-inducers are having effects Smile

Baby Joseph Luke (Joe) was born at the Spires on Sunday morning, 12.30am. Was really lucky and was able to use the pool for the pushing stage, and would definitely recommend gas and air too! We're both fine and back home now.

(Moobee and Ghost - I'm glad to be out of your 'tussle'! :o being from Leamington Spa and all)

ghosteditor · 10/01/2012 21:53

Oh my gosh! Congratulations!!! How wonderful and what a lovely name! Hope you're doing well Smile. Remind me again - when was he due, is he a little early ?

Also glad to hear the Spires was fab Wink
