Hi... so just been confirmed I'm due 10th (ish) of January and would love to get chatting to some others in the same area who are also expecting... As I said In the title that includes those of you due late 2011, as well - it's a very inclusive thread - as long as you'd be able to make some meet ups in Oxfordshire and you're going through some stage of reproduction then you'd be welcome :-)

I know there's at least one more of you out there (ghost - you there?)

Stats time:

MakesCakesWhenStressed - expecting #1 EDD 10 Jan 2012

Newish, been open since October.

I can never quite justify the visit over there just for 30mins story time.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 14/12/2011 12:23

My SIL is in Summertown so I can visit her too...

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 14/12/2011 18:59

Ghost - they've been promoting it like mad on Jack FM. Sounds really nice.

Lucycarr · 14/12/2011 21:44

It is lovely J works in summertown so have spent a bit of time hanging out there : )
@ ghost - turns out Abi from Yogas hubby is the manager / publisher there

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 14/12/2011 21:52

No way! Small world! I wonder why she's not doing the yoga there then. Yes, defs think I shall hang out there Smile

PenguinArmy · 14/12/2011 21:58

maybe a conflict of interest thing?

I do need to do a shopping trip to Summertown (well JoJo) at some point, so if people are going to be around let us know.

Lucycarr · 15/12/2011 20:58

I'm always up for a spot of shopping penguin if you want a coffee after?
They live quite away away ghost and have a dd too so maybe that's why?

Mulledbee · 17/12/2011 06:38

Hello, depending on the day, I might be able to meet up too. :)

PenguinArmy · 17/12/2011 11:12

maybe when I have well children again, I/we can do it. Not sure if that will before xmas though :(

Of course you are free to meet up with each other anyway :)

Provisionally I was thinking Wednesday as I think our normal playgroup won't be on anyway. Figure we'll go story time at 11-11:30 then hit the shops afterwards.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 19/12/2011 08:38

I'll be at work so can't make it but sounds like fun!

PenguinArmy · 21/12/2011 16:22

maybe in the new year

DCs are almost better, just sleeping loads (I assume catch-up) but meant I got an impromptu PJ day :)

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 21/12/2011 16:25

I'm hoping to get a pj day myself within the next couple of weeks! Last day of work today, hurray!!!

chocolatesparkle · 22/12/2011 21:03

Just want to wish Lucy lots of luck, know she's due in a couple of days. Let us know how you get on. xx

PenguinArmy · 22/12/2011 21:16

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 22/12/2011 21:49

I saw Lucy on Monday and she was doing well! Baby is due Christmas eve I think and she said she was travelling over Christmas so may not be around to post. Fx for you though Lucy Grin

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 05:20

Yup - thinking of you Lucy! Good luck x

Rollersara · 23/12/2011 08:09

Oo, how exciting, good luck Lucy!

Am a bit Xmas Envy now!

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 11:58

Getting fed up Sara?

PurplePanda · 24/12/2011 08:36

I'm liking the festive names ladies!

Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and New year Xmas Smile

Good luck Lucy, hope everything goes well - exciting times!

Rollersara · 24/12/2011 08:53

Just a bit! Am finding things very difficult now and worried I'm going to end up with several weeks of bedrest before she arrives!

Although in other news, saw a physio at the JR yesterday who says I can at least try for a water birth, rah! As at the moment, having baths and swimming are about the only things I can do comfortably.

How are you all getting on? Looking forward to the last quiet Christmas?!

Mulledbee · 24/12/2011 09:20

Hello all, great news that you can try for a water birth Sara! How much longer have you got to go?

I'm 38 week tomorrow and feeling really uncomfortable now. I'm definitely looking forward to a quiet Christmas though and doing nothing potentially labour inducing! :) I've been trying to get food in for both Christmas and post baby. I think DH thinks I've gone nuts with the amount of food that's now in the house. He may be right... Xmas Grin

Rollersara · 24/12/2011 11:10

I've still got at least 6 weeks! Have an appt at 36 weeks when we'll decide if I'll need to be induced or wait for nature to take it's course...

Our house is also full of food but that's because DP didn't check whether I'd done the Christmas shop (I had!) before spending £60 at Asda!

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 24/12/2011 11:47

Sara - oops, oh well, at least you won't go hungry!

37+2 here and if it wasn't for Christmas I'd want the baby out now. As it is I'm going to keep my legs crossed till January! :)

Rollersara · 24/12/2011 12:02

Most of it's frozen, should be fine!

Here's hoping you make it to January cakes!

Mulledbee · 24/12/2011 12:32

Same here cakes, I'm determined not to go into labour until 4th or 5th Jan at the earliest, but the due date of the 8th would be fine.

We were told at the NCT course that mental attitude can help bring on labour - so telling the baby you're ready for them to arrive. I'm now doing the opposite and telling them to stay put! :)

Frozen foods are good, it'll mean you're sorted for a while Sara.
