Hi... so just been confirmed I'm due 10th (ish) of January and would love to get chatting to some others in the same area who are also expecting... As I said In the title that includes those of you due late 2011, as well - it's a very inclusive thread - as long as you'd be able to make some meet ups in Oxfordshire and you're going through some stage of reproduction then you'd be welcome :-)

I know there's at least one more of you out there (ghost - you there?)

Stats time:

Lucy were you at yoga again last night? I was; had a bright blue wrap top on...

Lucycarr · 25/10/2011 22:11

Oh Yes I was, were you on the fireplace side? I was by the window wearing leggings and a Gray top (- I'll wear a carnation next time!) also contributed to the waterbirth conversation with my freaky unexpected moving baby story!

Rollersara · 26/10/2011 06:42

Am happy to do evenings in Oxford too :) Think 2nd/3rd are both ok! as I'm hardly ever out coz I'm asleep by 9

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 26/10/2011 08:36

I'm in! What time can you all get there? I should be able to get there any time after work, so from 6ish onwards, but that might be too early for those of you travelling from outside Oxford - it will be rush hour! 6.30pm, 7pm? I think you can probably park for free on Moreton Road at that hour...

Lucy - ah yes! I was indeed fireplace side - couldn't possibly go on the window side, too near the radiators! I wondered if that was you actually as we MNers are always happy to speak up Grin

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 26/10/2011 10:07

Well, DH gets home at 5pm and it's always best to feed him before asking favours! So 6.30ish?

I'll be there! (having trouble copying and pasting on the ipad!)

ghosteditor · 26/10/2011 18:08

Ok I have to report a lovely thing that has really cheered me up today... Ages ago I bought a custom cake stand made of vintage plates at a craft fair, but when I got home and tried to assemble the stand and the spike bit didn't fit together. The seller sent me the wrong thing twice and then went silent. I just sent another email and today received both the right spindle bit, an apology, and a £10 gift voucher to make up for the wait. How nice is that?! (the voucher is nearly half the value of the stand). And my lovely cake stand works just in time for my mum's visit this weekend!

Looking forward to seeing you all next week!

Hello! Just a quick note to say I'm hoping to make the 3rd. It might be tricky as I commute from Didcot to Swindon and so I'd have to drive after work, but there's a problem with my car - I think it's leaking petrol. It's going to garage tomorrow, but if it costs a lot, we may get rid of the car. :( It's 25 years old so I'm thinking something with more modern systems might be better for when Apple arrives.

So the tl;dr version is I'm tentative and really hoping I can make it!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 27/10/2011 16:38

Moobee - don;t worry too much, if you miss this one we're hoping to do a Wallingford one for the week after, so you should deffo be able to manage that one, right?

How's your health this week? No more mutterings of GD?

OP posts:
Moobee · 28/10/2011 03:04

Hello, I'm well thanks, and I should be able to make a Wallingford meet, even if it involves a taxi!

Rollersara · 28/10/2011 08:03

I'll try and get to Wallingford too, want to check it out for my NCT classes!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 28/10/2011 10:09

Actually, it would be the fortnight after I think

Oh sod it, we'll confirm at the Summertown meeting and let everyone know on here! At least we won't need carnations to identify each other - just watch for the waddle!

Looking forward to seeing you again Sara - how are you finding your mobility now you're getting bigger?

PurplePanda · 28/10/2011 18:33

Hi, just to say I'm coming to the Summertown meeting next week - looking forward to meeting you all! :)

chocolatesparkle · 29/10/2011 15:38

Good news....I do have a 12 week baby inside me, wriggling away on scan yesterday.

Look forward to meeting lots of you next week. I'll be the one in a baggy top, trying to hide the bloating that I wish was a bump!

Lucycarr · 29/10/2011 23:31

Yey, fab news sparkle congratulations!

ghosteditor · 30/10/2011 10:14

Congrats sparkle; such a relief, isn't it? I'm looking forward to cake etc next week Grin

Rollersara · 31/10/2011 22:14

Bah, I now have a teleconference at 8 on Thursday, but should be able to stay till half seven!
