It's my due date tomorrow and to save myself from depression I'm trying to think of all the things I can do/have when I'm not pregnant anymore, here's my list:
-diet coke (I try not to drink too much caffeine so don't have coke and only have one coffee a day.....sometimes a large one)
-soft eggs
-every type of cheese without having to think about it
-a glass of red wine (but not straight away)

-Lie on my tummy
-Big glass of red wine (breastfeeding timed to suit obviously)

I may do both of these things at the same time.

Three days past due date dammit.

frida75 · 21/03/2011 18:57

-Sleep on my front!! Although I expect my boobs will be big and painful so I might have to wait a while.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 21/03/2011 18:58

Drink a very large glass of wine while lying on my tummy.

Is there a theme developing here? Grin

niamh - you do know that if it is a lion-stamped egg you can eat it runny, don't you?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 21/03/2011 18:59

Sleep on my front.

Run up and down the stairs without getting out of puff.

coastgirl · 21/03/2011 18:59

Wine, definitely! And more than one cup of coffee in a day.

Boilable · 21/03/2011 19:01

First day out of hospital, DP cooked me a rare fillet steak with blue cheese sauce and a serious glass of red. I love him Grin

JBrd · 21/03/2011 19:02

Sleep on my front, absolutely. Eat lots of soft cheeses. And Tiramisu. And get DH to make me eggs benedict...

But most importantly - I will breathe! Been congested since November, it's a nightmare!

Daisybell1 · 21/03/2011 19:03

Can I borrow your DP please Boilable? That sounds heaven.

Mine is under strict instructions to go to the supermarket after LO arrives and buy me red wine, stilton and pate. A very large block of pate Grin

Tinwe · 21/03/2011 19:04

Wear my nice wardrobe (at some point), get some decent sleep (even if only for an hour or so), have sex (without planning which angle to approach from)

pipoca · 21/03/2011 19:04

why can't you eat tiramisu?

I will lie on my front (boobs permitting) walk more than 20 yards with getting the ligament burn/stitch in my side, have a glass of wine, thank the lord I'm no longer pregnant and stop feeling nauseous hopefully.

ecuse · 21/03/2011 19:11

Sleep on my tummy! And eat pate.

Janoschi · 21/03/2011 19:11

Bending over to tie my shoes without going "aaaarrrggghhhhuuuummmm" might be nice.

pipoca · 21/03/2011 19:19

ah yes, be able to put my own socks on without almost passing out.

pipoca · 21/03/2011 19:20

pick things off the floor again without it being a gymnastic feat

Bunnyjo · 21/03/2011 19:22

I have already dreamed about the following

Breakfast: Champagne breakfast (with obligatory soft boiled eggs - maybe eggs benedict??)
Lunch: Warm Goats Cheese Salad and lovely glass of Chenin Blanc
Dinner: Calves liver, glass of Chateau Neuf du Pape.

Having already had a DD I know that, in reality, the following is more likely

Breakfast: Whatever cereal I can lay my hands on followed by a strong coffee to keep me awake
Lunch: Sandwich with whatever supplies we have in the fridge.
Dinner: Whatever takeaway DH has raced to and hopefully I won't fall asleep before eating it!

I am really looking forward to being able to walk without my hips feeling like they are literally separating (I have bad SPD/ PGP) and I know all the food/ activities I have missed will come in good time. What I am truly looking forward to, most of all, is gazing at our little baby after wondering what he will look like for 8ish months and I know he will look absolutely perfect - just like his big sister did/ does [soppy emoticon needed]

Melly19MummyToBe · 21/03/2011 19:24

Sleep on my belly :)
Have a nice big vodka with Redbull (I don't like wine)

Also, did you lot know that you can actually eat blue cheese sauces when you're pregnant? It's fine because it's been cooked :) a MW told me that, so now I have steak (so well done I practically want to give it a round of appluase) with blue cheese sauce smothered all over it :o

NurseSunshine · 21/03/2011 19:26

GOATS CHEESE! Lots and lots of goats cheese. And putting my shoes on gracefully without grunting.

Thornykate · 21/03/2011 19:26

Have Botox. And put some normal clothes on if I can fit in them.

Leilababyno1 · 21/03/2011 19:43

Wear the 2 lovely new floaty summer dresses I have hanging in my wardrobe..Grin- due in 5 wks...

Be free in my own body, take a trip to a theme park and go on all the roller-coasters!!!Grin!!!

Get drunk on champagne!

Aaaah..it's so lovely to dream, reading everyones posts is making my mouth water!

Leilababyno1 · 21/03/2011 19:44

Good thread BTW...Smile

MrsOliverQueen · 21/03/2011 19:50

Eat poached eggs with soft yolks, minted lamb steak slightly rare, goats cheese and a large G&T. Just possibly not all in the same sitting.

Mostly though, have HUGE coffees when I am exhausted.

Then go on the diet that I didn?t really start properly finish after giving birth to DC2.

bilblio · 21/03/2011 19:57

Sleep with out needing 4 cushions and 1 between knees. I usually have 1 barely useful feather pillow.

Be able to have a drink in the night without having to get up to take more gaviscon after.

Cheese!

cerealqueen · 21/03/2011 20:04

I'm only 8 weeks pregnant but I do recall after I gave birth to DD, my cousins came over and gave me a hamper of all the food I hadn't been able to eat for nine months, including a lot of the things you ladies have mentioned. It was the best gift ever.

BreastmilkDoesAFabLatte · 21/03/2011 20:18

Strong mouldy cheese with as much coffee as I need
