It's my due date tomorrow and to save myself from depression I'm trying to think of all the things I can do/have when I'm not pregnant anymore, here's my list:
-diet coke (I try not to drink too much caffeine so don't have coke and only have one coffee a day.....sometimes a large one)
-soft eggs
-every type of cheese without having to think about it
-a glass of red wine (but not straight away)

Akiss- yes if piping hot through

Cheesecake contains raw egg so if it's one that is chilled it's a no. Yet to find a baked cheesecake yet.

Ha ha, remember when I was PG with DS sleep on my front was top of my list but it actually took me until he was a week old to realise I could do it!! The bliss when I did was awesome!!

Many cheesecakes actually do not contain egg...it's normally older recipes that do. Also, as someone else pointed out, 'Lion Quality'-marked eggs mean the laying flock has been vaccinated against salmonella.

I just think there are already so many limitations on what we 'can' and 'can't' do during pregnancy that we shouldn't go out of our way to make up additional restrictions for ourselves Hmm

I got mastitis from sleeping on my front after DC1. The horrible thing was that I realised in the night that I'd squished a duct when I shifted weirdly, but it wasn't until the next afternoon that I realised just how painful this was going to be.
I'm dying to sleep on my front again, though.

Ivegotmrbitey ooh, I had forgotten about oysters. Lovely, salty, slippery oysters. Mmmmm.

Badgerwife · 22/03/2011 21:15

DH is coming to the hospital with a baguette full of camembert and salami.

I ate rare steak through preg, cooked prawns, runny eggs, smoked salmon...

Only things I avoided were unpasturised & moldy cheese, raw seafood, filter seafood (oysters/anything that filters water), alcohol and pate.

I dreamt of crusty warm bread with st marcelan & tomatoes. Yummmmmm.

Pootletrinket · 23/03/2011 10:41

Eat - goats cheese, blue cheese, brie, poached eggs with runny yolks

Drink - the sloe gin I made during first trimester

But try not to overdo it - have lost a stone and put on a stone in this pregnancy and, with 3 (in theory)weeks to go, this should be an overall weight loss baby!!!!

Eat a Krispy Kreme donut!!

One is as unhealthy for you as two cigarettes (or something like that). I am going to expect some (a dozen) brought into the hospital fresh and warm while I am in Labour. Then, when the whole thing is over and I awake from a much needed sleep, Krispy Kreme!

And lots of Sushi and plum wine!

A frosty cold beer!

A goats cheese quiche!

And lots of playing and cuddling with my little bubba to top it all off :D

I don't wanna think of the excercise regime or getting back to my old figure, will tackle that at the time.

my wishlist for what im gonna do as soon as im not pregnant:

Roll around on the bed and lay on my tummy

drink as much tea as i could wish

Shave my legs and paint my toenails

buy a new bikini as motivation not to "let loose" and eat aload of crap

taking baby to the beach in august with dh, thats the one thing ive wanted to do since ive been pregnant is go to the beach as a family

also going into saunas at the local pool :D (im still stunned the local pool has a sauna O_O )

happycamel · 23/03/2011 12:48

Eat every flavour of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I have GD so my food rules are a bit different from most of you (I'm eating the stuff that's considered okay unless you're being paranoid ultra careful but have to severely restrict my sugar and carbs).

Oh, and as someone who has severe food allergies and immunology problems my Consultant Immunologist recommended that I eat peanuts and exposed my baby to as many different potential allergens (that I can tolerate) as possible as its allows the developing immune system to see these things as normal. Sudden exposure to peanuts when a baby hasn't encountered them in utero or for the first year or so after birth is far more likely to cause an allergic reaction in his opinion.

sushi and an asahi beer - bliss! Only 27.5 weeks to go (sure I'll find more pressing things to worry about when I can no longer see my toes though)

Labella77 · 23/03/2011 19:32

Run around after my toddler
Sort out my lady garden
Put shoes on without the panting and passing out.
Smoke some fags
