2 recent miscarriages and pregnant again, no symptons

hi all,
i've recently had two miscarriages, one at 12 weeks, one at 5 (although have a 3yr old). i am now pregnant again - about 5 weeks but really don't feel any symptons - no sore boobs, not much nausea. i felt very strong symptons with the succesful pregnancy years ago but for the miscarry ones i didn't feel much. is there any link between strong early symptons and a successful or unsuccesful pregnancy? i feel too scared to be pleased to be pregnant again, as i fear it will all end in tears. any (hopeful) advice from anyone? many thanks!

Hi @AlbiMix yes mc were all at varying times in first trimester so (dare I say) feeling a bit more confident now. Foud out we're having another girl at the scan, dd will love having a sister, haven't told her the sex yet though as haven't told family, not sure if we will. This will definitely be last grandkid for all so think they may want a surprise. All looked well otherwise although baby was in difficult position to see sex so had to move around a fair bit and the sonographer pressed quite hard. Are you going to find out the sex?

Jeds55 · 19/06/2021 22:27

@Twink32 sorry you were so poorly, sounds awful, last thing you need on top of pregnancy. How are you feeling in general now? Did you book a scan?

Jeds55 · 19/06/2021 22:29

@gizmo167 such great news about the scan. It's so lovely to see the baby moving too, makes it all seem so much more real somehow. Taking each day as it comes is the best thing we can do for our sanity

Hope everyone else who has posted on here is keeping well. Crazy that we're half way through the year already. Time still dragging but speeding by too somehow

@gizmo167 sorry just saw your post, amazing news about your scan!! So happy for you. Your EDD is a week behind mine.

@Twink32 when is your early scan? Do let us know how it goes.

@Jeds55 so glad to hear your scan went well and congrats on having a little girl. I have to admit that I have always wanted a girl, but also after the MC and stress of post MC pregnancy I now totally understand what people say about just wanting it to be healthy and well, whatever the sex!

I'm now feeling in that limbo that you mentioned, 2 weeks on from my 12w scan and starting to worry again. No symptoms, no bump, can't feel anything! So I think I will book the scan to find out the sex and see what's going on. I'm quite keen to find out!

How did it go? I’m in the same boat!?

AlbiMix · 23/03/2022 11:01

Hi @SPKX it went well thankfully. I had an easy pregnancy and a healthy baby boy. I had almost no pregnancy symptoms, so it is possible for that to happen and all to be well. I know how worrying it is though! Getting the extra scans did help me with the anxiety of pregnancy after miscarriage although I know it's not for everyone.

SPKX · 23/03/2022 12:34

So glad to hear! Im now 6 weeks and still having no symptoms

Hello!

aware this is an even later response on this thread but I have been reading through to help with my personal situation!
I had a missed miscarriage around 15 weeks in beginning of Jan and now I’m pregnant again (around 10 weeks) which I didn’t anticipate to happen so quickly. My worry is not only it could happen again but my symptoms have been so mild! Usually get a very mild wave of nausea which is literally gone in 5 mins. The odd bit of tummy cramp (mild) but more often than not I’m pretty symptom free! It’s nice to not be so poorly like I was first time around, but also worrying me even more so! Could it be due to being used to the first pregnancy still? Anyone else been in this position? Got my first scan next Weds, terrifying I'm glad to read some of your success pregnancy stories and hope you’re all doing well xx

@Kas22 how did everything go for you? I am also pregnant again after a missed miscarriage and having milder symptoms but still very early days!
