Hi, I discovered I was pregnant last friday, and then was ill for 5 days, just emerging now to the realisation! Havent seen a doc or anything but have done two tests, one digital. I'm hoping everything is OK, I feel normal - tired, but I've got a 14month old, so thats to be expected!

Hey I just did today!! congrats I did a digital one too that said 2-3 weeks .

I also have a 15 month old xx

cupofteaplease · 10/02/2011 20:31

Congrats! I found out for definite (after 4 tests!) on Sunday.

I am feeling nauseaus in the afternoons, and my lower tummy feels sort of heavy and yet delicate inside, does that make sense?

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and work 4 days a week, so I'm prepared to keel wiped out most evenings. Good luck to you both Smile

Blakey1 · 10/02/2011 20:31

Hi Nettlerash, yes I did a digital one and it said 1-2 weeks, that was last friday. I cant remember my last period dates, classic. Its a bit sooner than I had expected, but its cool! Congrats to you too x

Oh blimey cupoftea - you have your work cut out! Congrats. My daughter was an October baby too so there will be exactly 2 years between them.

Blakey1 · 10/02/2011 20:33

Cupofteaplese, how on earth do you do it! You need to teach me please. I'm exhausted with just one, and I havent gone back to work!

OP posts:
Nettlerash · 10/02/2011 20:33

I wasnt really expecting it either. Hubby is still in a bit of shock but he'll get over it!

cupofteaplease · 10/02/2011 20:39

Tbh I see going to work as a bit of a rest! I'm a teacher, and the children at school actually listen to me, unlike my own at home!

What are you both hoping for? I'd love another girl, but after 2 miscarriages, I just want to go full term with a healthy baby.

Nettlerash · 10/02/2011 20:43

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages Cupoftea. I have a girl so it would be nice to have a boy. On the other hand I have kept all my daughters clothes so it would be less expensive to have a girl!! I really don't mind. Just hope it goes well.

Blakey1 · 10/02/2011 21:06

HI, yes I have a girl too, so a boy would be nice, but I've loved having a girl so much I really dont mind. I have also had a previous miscarriage and so I'm not taking anything for granted. Most of the time I cant believe its real, which is why its nice to come on here and actually allow myself to get excited!

I'm also hoping that the illnes I just had hasnt affected the little thing. Hmm I had a very high temperature - felt freezing and couldnt get warm, but was sweating.
I suppose I just have to wait and see...

Hopefully it will be fine blakey. :) Sorry about your M/C too. I had one but quite a few years ago and that was due to malaria. Its never an easy thing. Heres to us February ladies keeping healthy, safe and well during these pregnancies. :)

Blakey1 · 10/02/2011 22:35

Yes, good luck and good health to all of us.
I think I just had a first symptom - I downed a pizza in about 3 minutes, and am now eating a twix. :)

EdwardorEricCantdecide · 12/02/2011 03:45

Nettlerash · 12/02/2011 07:33

I think I am about 4 weeks
1 DD already (16 months)
Not been to see Dr/midwife yet as am moving next week!!

I was thinking buggyboard too.

Nettlerash · 12/02/2011 07:34

DD will be exactly 2 years when this one comes (she was born 15th Oct 2009) x

Liabella · 12/02/2011 07:57

We found out 12 hours ago and it is just about sinking in! It's our first and we thought it would take a while, so hadn't expected it to happen so soon, but really excited. And nervous!!
Am about 2.5 weeks, so early days.

EdwardorEricCantdecide · 12/02/2011 09:08

Congratulations
Liabella And hope the move goes well for you nettlerash.
I'm taking DS out for day so hope u all have a good day might be on later tonight

Nettlerash · 12/02/2011 19:07

Liabella is that 2 weeks from your LMP?
I worked out I was 4 weeks from LMP (This is how the Docs work it out as it is counted in the 40 weeks). x For instance if you conceived 2 weeks ago you are actually 4 weeks pregnant. :)

When are you all going to tell your family/parents/friends etc?

DemonChild · 12/02/2011 20:26

Hello, please can I join? Just found out today, am about 4 weeks I think. I already have DD (13 mo) so she'll be 22 months - that's a good age gap, right? Gonna be hard work though...

Nettlerash - DH is on the phone to his whole family telling them - I'm not massively impressed about this Hmm Especially as I have Graves disease which makes it harder to carry a pregnancy to term.
