Not really expecting anything to happen, although I hope it does!
What fun (but cheap, and probably at-home) things are you doing for distraction? Think my day will revolve around bouncing on ball and watching crap tv.

Hiya! Due today too, NO signs WHATSOEVER yet of anything exciting happening! SOOO fed up now, had convinced myself I would be early!!

Have spent the last week bouncing on the ball, attempting to walk (Bad spd Sad), eating spicy food and having clary sage baths all to no avail. Today I am going to lie on the sofa and watch a dvd boxset and only move to scoff cadbury creme eggs and doughnuts.....lovely...

Good luck and enjoy your day! Will come back to let you know if anything exciting happens!!

cookingfat · 04/02/2011 10:04

Your day sounds like mine - although I've got to go out to fetch some creme eggs! Going to start with SATC boxset and Jeremy Kyle!
Hope we both end the day in a more dramatic fashion...

I wish you both the best of luck and I'll stay tuned for anything exciting to happen

Good Luck girls Grin

Newmummytobe79 · 04/02/2011 10:51

How exciting!

Your days sound amazing - loving the creme egg idea :o)

Fingers crossed your little-uns decide to say hello today!

Good luck x

papertiger · 04/02/2011 15:10

Hello cookingfat and Ba8y1! I'm due today too, no signs of anything happening here either, getting quite fed up.
Went for a bit of a walk today round the shops, otherwise just watching the usual crap daytime TV too and drinking the raspberry leaf tea. Might go for a curry later.
Good luck, hope one of us has a baby before the weekend is over.

cookingfat · 04/02/2011 15:40

Oooh, wonder who'll be first! Might be going for a curry too papertiger, but that would mean getting dressed!

Ba8y1 · 04/02/2011 19:25

Hi ladies, how are you doing?!

Have had a tres boring day with nothing, not even a measly braxton hicks to indicate any impending excitement... Sad

Trying to convince DH that some naughtiness might be needed tonight, but he is not keen to try again after a rather hilarious attempt last week.... AND I have to contend with the rugby... no chance! He is cooking dinner though so can't complain!

Hope you have more exciting evenings! We should try and keep this thread updated, hopefully not for too much longer!! Smile

cookingfat · 04/02/2011 22:42

Hello
Boring day here too. Need to plan some stuff for the week ahead in case baby decides to stay put! Any ideas?
Hope we all see some action soon- stay in touch!

suzym1984 · 05/02/2011 07:36

Hi!
Didnt see this thread but yesterday was my due date too! Needless to say...no baby Sad although I have been up through the night with some crampy pains and possible water leakage (altho I may have just weed myself!)
Fingers crossed something happens soon for us!

papertiger · 05/02/2011 14:04

Hi all and suzym, anything happening for anyone?

We tried that tactic too last night Ba8y1 (after DH had watched the rugby of course, and we had a curry too) and it was pretty uncomfortable and has got us nowhere... don't think will be trying that again anytime soon!

Its been raining all day so can't even go for a walk, really not looking forward to end of the weekend when DH will be back at work and I'll still be at home getting fed up!

Keep posting, its nice to know you aren't alone in this.

cookingfat · 05/02/2011 17:37

Hi all
Nothing happening here! Spent the day cooking meals with DH to put in the freezer, and also made a cake to wolf down tonight. Knackered now!
Hope at least one baby arrives on this thread this weekend (and selfishly I hope it's mine Grin).
Hang on in there.

Hi all!

Has anyone popped during the night then? I'm still pregnant, planning a nice long walk today to try and get things moving Grin

Good luck everyone!

Ba8y1 · 06/02/2011 15:09

Hiya!

Still nothing exciting happening here - how about you three?! Have started to tell the baby to stay put as it is obviously not obedient, but still no luck!

Going to try the pineapples later, but then I'm out of ideas! Have a sweep booked for tomo - can you tell I'm not the patient type?!
Will check in with any news after that!!

Suzy any other signs?! I've literally had nothing, no cramps, BH, water, nothing... am hoping you can just go into labour without the days of warm-up people talk about or I'm going to be on this thread a while!!

Lots of luck everyone!

j4jess · 06/02/2011 16:07

Hi everyone
I'm due today too. So far nothing.Had loads of cramps and braxton's yesterday, which got me thinking it was all gona happen, but no! Have been for a walk and have just bought a pineapple, v much buying into the old wives tales at the mo.
Good luck everyone!

papertiger · 06/02/2011 17:35

Hi all,
Still pregnant here too.
Jealous that you have a sweep booked for tomorrow Ba8y1, you might be the first of us to pop! My sweep is booked for Friday, really hope I don't have to wait that long.
Getting fed up with mother ringing me every other day asking whats happening, we normally only speak once a week, feels a bit OTT- I would tell her if anything was happening!!

Fingers crossed someone pops tonight!

cookingfat · 06/02/2011 20:00

Hi, I'm still pregnant (and v grumpy!). papertiger I've got a sweep on Friday too - seeing mw tomorrow though so hope she offers me an early one! And my mum has upped the phone calls from weekly to daily...

suzym1984 · 07/02/2011 13:03

Hi!,
Jealous (kind of!) of all these sweeps...Ive not been offered one! Is this normal?

Had some contraction type pains last night and had a 'show' this morning, so hopefully things are starting.

Good luck ladies!

Mahraih · 07/02/2011 13:10

Hello, everyone!

Bit of a latecomer to this thread - was due on February 2nd, and still waiting!

MW offered me a sweep on my due date but I said no. Slightly regretting that now ...

Had sex, eaten about 20 pineapples, 10 curries, jumping up and down, tried it all. A few Braxton Hicks is all, but have had those since 24 weeks.

In it for the long haul!

Mahraih · 07/02/2011 13:11

suzym1984 - on the subject of sweeps, MW said that they can offer them to anyone, from 40 weeks, but this is in Southwark.

Might be a thought to ask, if you're keen for one?

I'm holding out for pessaries Blush

cookingfat · 07/02/2011 13:56

In leics, we don't get a sweep til 40+7. not sure why every area does it differently...
Suzy sounds promising!
mahraih welcome to the waiting room!

Ba8y1 · 07/02/2011 20:41

Hi ladies,

Had my prolonged pregnancy assessment today: the scan was good and blood flow to placenta, cord, baby all good. Estimated weight 8 lbs 12!!! Ahh - pls come out soon! Unfortunately cervix is still long >3cm and my chance of going into labour in the next 7-10 days is only 42%!!! Help!

Had ouchy ouchy sweep and am currently in the process of losing my plug so perhaps it triggered something - who knows! Chances are slim methinks! Have another assessment on Fri - will be induced if 'favourable'!

Sorry about rant, its been a slightly stressful day! How's everyone else doing?!
Anyone popped yet?! Maybe that news will trigger the rest of us!

Suzy have you got a prolonged preg appt? Don't they do scans etc. everywhere as soon as you go overdue? It's my first so not sure what's the normal procedure elsewhere!

Welcome Mahraih!

Waves to everyone and fingers crossed for some exciting news soon!

cookingfat · 08/02/2011 10:27

hello again (still here!)
ba8y1 - we don't get prolonged preg assess here - where are you based? Am a bit jealous of the extra scan as would love to check all is ok in there.
Saw MW but not allowed sweep until 40+7 (friday). The MW will then book me in for 'proper' induction at 40+14 (aaagh, so far away!).

Let's get popping!

OP posts:
papertiger · 08/02/2011 13:51

Hi all, also still here! Can't believe none of us has gone into labour yet!
We don't get any extra scans here either. Pinning hopes on sweep on friday. I can then get induced or go for another sweep. Round here I can go over 42 weeks if I want after a chat with a consultant, hoping it doesn't come to that decision...
I don't even know if I'm having Braxton Hicks, my bump goes hard from time to time but it isn't associated with any pain, only getting sharp cervix pains occasionally, anyone else?

Ba8y1 · 08/02/2011 17:21

Still no news here so not sure an early sweep is such a good idea! Baby will come when baby is ready I guess...

How are you all doing? Any news?

cookingfat I am based at UCLH (London) - have to say I've been impressed with my antenatal care so far, but don't have anywhere else to judge it against!

papertiger I'm having the same - occasional tightnings, but no pain and occasional sharp shooting pains down below - guessing this is all normal?

Any of you ladies done this before? Tis my first and am having all the neuroses I guess would be expected with the pfb!!

Will be looking out for news!! Good luck everyone! Smile

cookingfat · 08/02/2011 17:26

It's my pfb too, so am probably obsessing WAY too much!

I've been having lots of BHs, and the odd day of regular, period-pain-like tightenings... but this has been happening for 3 weeks, so don't think it means much.

When I found out I was pregnant, I worked out my due date to be today (8 Feb), but the dating scan brought it forward to the 4th. So maybe Baby will be kind of on time after all!!

Hope one of us gets lucky tonight! Grin
