IME it is generally men who cant stand more than two.

However Mr Cod fancies himself as Pa Walton and would go on forever if finances allowed - and he is an only child!

So...fess up - who said - NO MORE in your household.

it was me, I decided that after 4 I had done my bit for society, dh would carry on - probably just for the chance of a jump - must confess though I still do wonder whether we should have another, after 1ds and 3 dd would like another ds I once met a lady who had 11, they did have loads of money which must make it easier, she told me that I would know when enough was enough but I am still waivering

codswallop · 29/08/2003 18:46

really? gosh. My dh has said he is 95% sure he doesnt. Mind you I said no more after ds2

DH. He's one of 2 children so thinks 2 is the right number. I have 2 elder brothers so 3 seems right for me and as I have 2 DSs, having a girl would make the "perfect" family for me. However, I don't do the giving birth or motherhood bit easily so I guess I'm destined for 2 boys unless we adopt.

metired · 29/08/2003 18:53

will get very broody after xmas as sil is pregnant and she has the cutest babies, now that all mine are at school I spose chances of another are remote but - if my 6 numbers come up in lottery tomorrow who knows or if brad stops messing with jennifer and realises who is true love is I couldn't deny him a child

Slink · 29/08/2003 19:14

My gradma had 11 children but gave one away as her freind could not have children i am 1 of 6 children and dh is 1 of 3.

We would both like another ONE but thats it my dd is 2.3months now and i am worried about the gap. We are just seeing what happens but 2 is enough.

codswallop · 29/08/2003 19:47

go soupy - go for three. It is the new two

DH wanted to stop at 2 but I always felt 3 was 'right'. Coincidently I'm the youngest of 3 and he's the youngest of 2 so maybe that's why we both wanted those numbers.

As I've only got 3 weeks to go until No.3 arrives I suppose he changed his mind. Can't imagine having another one although would never say no if DH wanted more which is not very likely. Maybe if Hell freezes over...........

Me!!

We've got 3, DH would have wanted another 1, but the thought of another pregnancy made me feel sick!

I had a scare at Christmas which horrified me, so DH was packed off for his vasectomy in April

Me. I said stop at 2 so I don't know how I got four!

ANGELMOTHER · 29/08/2003 21:18

I told dh the other night that this one (36wks pg) will definitely be my last contribution to the world population.
Also that next one in hospital would be him for the snip......he says no point, it's not like he has a sex life anyway

Linnet · 29/08/2003 22:01

I foolishly said after dd was born that I didn't want any more and Dh said ok.

So he had made his decision and that was it we weren't having any more.

But thankfully he has changed his mind and we're now ttc. He says that another ONE would be ok but no more after that. So I keep teasing him and saying we could have twins you know, lol
I always dreamed of having 4 children, well we'll see what happens in the future.

Ghosty · 29/08/2003 22:37

I love the idea of 4 children as I am one of 4 ... but I don't think I could go through the worry of pregnancy and m/c again ... and although I really want this one I have decided that pregnancy doesn't suit me ...
So although I would love to keep going as I would love more kids I think we will stop at 2.
DH says 2 is enough ...
Mind you if I have a boy I don't know how I will feel about it then ... will I want to have another go at having a girl??

jac34 · 29/08/2003 22:45

DH thinks two is enough (for us), he has three.
He is one of six.
I on the other hand,I would love more, and I'm an only child.

gingernut · 29/08/2003 23:26

So far I have called the shots ... I decided when we would try for a baby, and I have decided about when to try for our second. I had always intended to stop at 2 but I'll just see how I feel (if we get that far)! dh hasn't complained so far

Tortington · 30/08/2003 01:38

he did. i told him i wanst being poked at anymore by doctors and if he wanted no more children it was his turn to take responsability.

he fecked off quick sharp to doctors and had the snip

Don't like the idea of a vasectomy - seems too final but I am biased. dh's ex left him with 3 kids when he was 35. He thought his life was over but met me at 44 and we went onto have children in his 50s. So he has 5 now and I have 2... not sure about any more but neither of us have definately said no and he said he'd never get the snip.

scottiebabe · 30/08/2003 10:33

we decided together no more after two but i do have big age gap but i wanted me to be sterilised as i was terrified of being pregnant again after two horrible pregnancies
