Congratulations!

I had 2 girls and then a boy, didn't see myself as a boy person but I adore him more than words can say!

goodlifemummy · 02/11/2010 11:34

Congratulations!! I bet the girls will mother him to bits! I have 4 dd's and they are always asking for a baby brother :)

AbiAbi · 02/11/2010 12:37

Congratulations, what fab news Smile

going · 02/11/2010 13:57

Boys clothes sections are tiny compared to girls - not much choice at all.

Tidey · 02/11/2010 13:59

What fab news, many congratulations. Pumpkin Patch and Monsoon Kids have some lovely non-blue stuff.

WingDad · 02/11/2010 14:00

Oh dear, boys smell :(

Wink

Congratulations and all that.

Hulababy · 02/11/2010 14:02

That little boy is going to have 5 mummies!!! Bless him, he doesn't stand a chance - he will be their real life dolly Grin

Congratulations - how wonderful for you all!

Timbachick · 02/11/2010 14:10

Oh Congratulations. Grin

Go have a look at John Lewis (lots of franchise stuff and their own colourful make) and Fenwicks. Uniqlo are colourful as well.

I have a DS and whilst at times it has seemed as if the shops were conspiring to flood the market with blue clothes I haven't found it too difficult to find colourful stuff.

scaleymcnamechange · 02/11/2010 14:12

Oooooooooooh you lucky thing! How marvellous Grin.

Poshpaws · 02/11/2010 14:12

Congratulations Smile. Sainsburys do colourful clothes for boys, although not sure about baby boys.

Boots used to be quite good - stripes, spots, etc.

Agree about Pumpkin patch.

suzikettles · 02/11/2010 14:14

Well, the only thing I need to tell you is that when you take his nappy off stick a muslin over there quick smart. Or he'll pee in your eye* Grin.

Male babies 101.

*Or your mouth, or his own mouth...

suzikettles · 02/11/2010 14:15

TX Maxx can be great for non blue baby stuff - lots of European makes.

Stay clear of Next though.

GallumDrawnAndQuartered · 02/11/2010 14:18

how exciting! Congratulations! Grin

ILoveGregoryHouse · 02/11/2010 14:22

Mothercare and Gap good for boys stuff. I have three boys and recently had fun getting my imminent dd kitted out - much more choice and easier to avoid pink. It's cost a fortune.

Congratulations.

superparty · 02/11/2010 14:26

Congratulations to youSmile

I have a son 17 from a previous relationship.

me and dh have 4 girls together 12,8,7 & 9months, I am due number 6 in jan and have been told its a BOY, omg am 28wks and still can't believe its true and probably won't until the birth when i shout 'show me his winky' lol

Am still not buying blue stuff just in case they're wrong, I have to have a placental site scan on christmas eve so will double check then.

Hope all goes well for you, when are you due?

DinosaurRumpus · 02/11/2010 14:31

Huge congratulations :)

I am the complete opposite - I'm expecting a girl after 4 boys!
I'm due on Friday and even after being told at three different scans that it is a girl, I still won't quite believe it til I've got a baby in my arms with no winkle Grin Grin

sweetkitty · 02/11/2010 14:35

Oh wow congratulations misdee and peter and the girls.

I am 6 months into having a boy after 3 girls and it is fab. I love the clothes (am so over pink) and he is just so different, a big chunk of boyness, he even looks nothing like the girls.

The only downside is everyone telling you how happy your DH must be? finally getting your boy? you can stop now etc? as if the other girls were trial runs.

misdee · 02/11/2010 15:55

Told the girls and they are excited. Dd2 has got the names book.
Already had comments like 'at last' and at the school just now someone said 'finally' so I corrected them and said 'no, not finally, congratulations'.
