Had a scan on Monday at 6+1 where they saw hb. I haven't had many symptoms up till then - a bit pf cramping, hunger and boobs feeling ever so slightly heavier. But now those symptoms have disappeared.

Am supposed to go back at 8+1 for a repeat scan. But I think I already know what's happened. My last two pgs were completely symptomless and I miscarried the most recent at 7 weeks.

Have one ds already so I know how lucky I am. I wish I could be more positive about this pregnancy (I did start off very positive especially with the reassurance of those subtle symptoms), but have convinced myself it's all over. Sad

Digitalgirl
I really feel for you, time is probably standing still at the moment. I have been posting on another topic with exactly the same worries as you and have been surprised at how many people have reassured me that symptoms do come and go. I lost my symptoms at 5+4 and had a dream the same night that someone was saying goodbye to me so woke up in a right state as you can imagine. However just as I came to terms with the prospect of yet another mc, I suddenly got a new wave of symptoms a few days later and am happily now feeling distinctly pukey at around 6+4. Is there any chance you have an EPU in your area where you could get your HCG levels checked to see if they are going up whilst you wait for your scan?
Keeping my fingers crossed for you

Try not to worry. Im currently 38+4. I mc'd my first pg and had no symptoms with that. I had no real symptoms with this pg until about 9 weeks... My boobs didn't even hurt. I started to get morning sickness at about 9 weeks and had this til 16 weeks but even that would come and go at the start of it. Other than ms I didn't have any symptoms at all. My friend is pg and due just before me... She never had a single symptom at all. No symptoms or symptoms coming and going seems to be the norm for me and my friends. Good luck.

Hi digitalgirl, I remember you from the buses [waves], sorry you're having a hard time of it. I didn't find out I was pg with ds1 until I was around 7 weeks as I had no symptoms at all, although I know it's different for everyone. I then had bleeding and had a scan at 9 weeks and saw a heartbeat (on Christmas Eve!). There are some very positive stats that say that if you have had an early scan and a hb has been detected you have around a 90-95% chance of having a healthy baby.

Good luck x

spilttheteaagain · 22/10/2010 12:32

(((hugs))) digi, I really hope your baby is ok in there. Come and talk to us on Charters if it'd help at all. Lots of love my dear xx

owlshoes · 22/10/2010 12:36

digi hang on in there my lovely - am sending you all the positive stick bean vibes and hoping the next scan brings good news x

lucielooo · 22/10/2010 12:56

digitalgirl my symptoms really came and went in the early weeks.. (currently 16 weeks) on several occasions I was heartbroken convinced that it was all over as I'd go for a week or so feeling fine.. then at the 12 week scan (where I sobbed for in waiting room as I was so sure it had gone wrong, despite a successful scan at 9 weeks) the baby was there with a heartbeat.

It's pointless saying try not to worry, but I did just want to say that even though it feels your symptoms have gone it really doesn't necessarily mean it's all over.

Will be thinking of you

digitalgirl · 22/10/2010 17:13

It is very reassuring to hear these stories. I spent last night and this morning crying my eyes out. But have had a really busy day since looking after ds and haven't had time to dwell on it.

Still feel sad, but I know I'll just have to wait till that next scan and hope for the best. I cling onto every tiny twinge hoping it's a symptom but they're few a far between.

I think if i wasn't comparing this to my pregnancy with ds I'd be a bit more accepting of the non-symptoms. But definitely had ms and sore boobs by this point with him. Am not even tired, and I should be with the lack of sleep from lying in bed thinking about it.

I keep reminding myself I haven't actually miscarried yet, so there's every chance it's fine. It's just so bloody difficult getting through these early days having had two mc's already.

Thinking of you digitalgirl, please keep us updated on things.

newyearsday · 23/10/2010 12:21

Hi Digi I've never been pg before and it's something we've dreamed of for years yet at times I've felt really low and panicky, torturing myself with negative thoughts. The waiting is really hard.

Please don't listen to me harping on about symptoms. Everyone is different. Most of my close friends sailed through their pregnancies without any symptoms.

Hang on in there, we're thinking about you xx

pinkyp · 23/10/2010 12:32

I hope everythings ok for you digi! My symptoms come and went in early pregnancy too so i wouldnt worry too much as from what i've read it seems to be 'normal'. Also maybe because your worrying so much you ARE having sutle symptoms but havent noticed due to the worrying keeping fingers crossed for you

MummyAbroad · 23/10/2010 21:59

Thinking of you digi really hope things turn out well. xxxxx

rocketleaf · 23/10/2010 23:02

Hi digi this must be a very scary time for you :( I am torturing myself a little bit too as having had quite strong symptoms at 6 & 7 weeks (but even then they really came and went) i now feel almost normal apart from a few crampy twinges. Scan not until a week on wed so will just have to wait. So I know a bit about your fears although I haven't your history (which must make it MUCH harder) Its good to read the reassuring stories on here. Sounds like your early scan should be a good sign. Hang in there.

Hope you are having a relaxing weekend and taking your mind off it a little bit. xx

banana87 · 23/10/2010 23:07

Digi, please try not to worry. Loads of people have no symptoms and are just fine. It can also go reverse, I had lots of symptoms and miscarried anyway. I have learned there is no rhyme or reason to it, symptoms are not necessarily indicative that everything is ok and no symptoms is not necessarily indicative that everything is not ok.

Fingers crossed for your scan and lots of sticky vibes to you.

digitalgirl · 24/10/2010 11:05

Thanks ladies. Was doing quite well yesterday. Not really thinking about it. Getting the odd boob twinge and lower ab twinge which at least felt like something was going on. Had a great night out with friends too which was very relaxing. Went to bed quite happy.

Then got woken up about 5am with tell-tale cramping. It came and went in my lower ab like labour contractions. Actually started timing then and thought 'how bloody coincidental that all my miscarriages happen on a Sunday'. Then after an hour they stopped. So now I'm back to square one - convinced it's over but trying desperately to cling on to the fact that it hasn't yet happened officially.

Dh got my scan brought forward go this Tuesday. So will find out then.

So sorry to hear you're having a crap time of of it :(

I think if you are that worried you can go to hospital emergency department and explain everything that has happened before and is happeneing now, maybe I'm wrong?

I know if it was me I'd want to know sooner rather than later.

banana87 · 24/10/2010 11:46

Going to A&E (unless you are bleeding or in a considerable amount of pain) is next to useless. They will not scan you, they will just check your cervix and tell you what they think. So really you would be none the wiser than you are now. Good luck for Tues.

digitalgirl · 24/10/2010 12:37

Yep, done this all before so pretty much know the drill. I know its not ectopic, i'm not bleeding and you can't get emergency scans on a weekend. I've got one booked for Tuesday so I can hold out till then. Praying I'm one of those over worrying idiots with everything progressing as normal.

Not good news. Baby only measures 6+3, should be 7+2. Hb very slow. They want to re-scan me next week. But the outlook is miserable Sad.
