Please let me know if you got extra skin overhang/apron on top of your Cesarean Section scar? Yes or No?

Hello all of you who had an elective or emergency section. I will have a discussion with consultant this week and just want to get a realistic idea of what to expect about the extra skin overhang and want to understand the reality from your side (actual patient's/mom's side). Is the overhang unavoidable and always coupled with CS? Did you get it? Thanks xoxox

Three of my friends who had cs have overhang and lopsided stomachs.

No I didn't get it and i am quite fat.

Two caesarians, one emergency and one elective, no apron after two weeks.

Did get an incisional hernia from one though so have two scars.

BTW have lots of friends who have delivered vaginally and they have the apron effect. Have stopped short of suggesting they upholster it with Cath Kidson fabric and pretend they are in Desperate Housewives

Over hang after 2/3 sections

no overhang after about 10 weeks for me (1 section - elective)

I did get it. Planning an abdominoplasty in February.

Tiny overhang, am overweight.

I have one and its 10 times worse when i lose weight. Having said that I have seen men with them atfer weight loss so it's not always because of surgery.

Got an overhang and had an emcs. Hate it.

I had it with cs1 and cs2. Cs3 was vertical so now I have two vertical bulges of fat with a dip inbetween, I look fab in my swimsuit. Seems to have cured the overhang from cs2 though ...

no overhang after 1st CS.
think small overhang after 2nd CS.
large overhang after 3rd CS. I haven't made any effort to lose weight though and I've also had 4 pregnancies within 4 years so think it's not down to CS.

no over hang after emergency cs but despite lots of dieting and excercise my tummy has never gone flat and has a slight pot look.

emcs - no overhang and I'm not skinny!

Oh yes. I am also a bit overweight. I fail to see how losing the lb is going to magically remove the overhang, though.

Small overhang after 2cs but I think it's just plumpness tbh. Not sure if losing the weight will make it better or worse.

Did you see this? The woman in this pic has a definite overhang, but it's just from having lost lots of weight in the past -- no pregnancies.

Just mentioning it because I do think the overhang thing is a matter of luck really.

After one emergency and 2 elective my 'overhang' was quite hideous - not helped by starting running and losing quite a lot of weight. Surgery is the only option....

1 EMCS and 2ELCS after 3 massive pregnant bellies = horrible blobby overhang.

I have an overhang from 1 cs and it looks worse when I lose weight. However, I am not that bothered about it and none of the boyfriends I dated after my divorce never mentioned it at all. It's just one of those things.
