I'm sure I am boring my RL mates and my DP by going on about my aches and pains, so thought I would moan on here too.

I am 34wks gone and have:

Chronic heartburn
Mild SPD
Insomnia
Anaemia
Massive boobs which are too big to ever be comfortable
A baby who apparently is a champion river dancer in the making (I know I shouldn't complain she is moving so much....but it hurts)
Fingers and ankles are swollen
Plus, if one more person comments on my 'small bump' I will scratch their eyes out. I do not have a small bump, I measure 33cm at 34 weeks, that is normal sized.

I do not feel blooming or blossoming. I can't be the only one.

OP posts:

reflux
anaemia
Insomnia
Pins and Needles randomly but often
Cramp in my legs often
Morning (at night) sickness which has just started again
a VERY distinct waddle when I walk
and the next person that tells me Im huge and asks me if Im having twins will have no head on their shoulders! :) that is all

lainey1981 · 12/10/2010 23:07

feel the need to moan too

i am 34+4 and have:
to go for a pee constantly all day and exactly 4 times each night
mild SPD
insomnia
really painful thighs Confused
a baby who won't stop moving

i also can't bend down or forward, meaning grooming is out the window

i just want control back over my body if possible SOON!!

excitedmummy2be · 13/10/2010 01:31

Ok... Definately joining in on this one! 37+2 weeks
Mild spd
insomnia
ridiculous swelling of my hands, feet and face
constant headaches
can't bend down enough to put shoes on and even if I could, I don't own a pair that will fit on my hugely swollen feet
sore stretch marks
a giant fanjo that I've not seen for weeks so is totally unkempt
unbelievable amounts of CM making frequent showering and knicker changing a necessity
an inability to ever get comfortable
baby brain......
Think that's it.... But still got a couple more weeks for some new ones to kick in!!

slimyak · 13/10/2010 10:15

Right I'm joining in, only 25+3 weeks but really fed up today.

Knacking hips and sciatica (sp)
I wee a bit when I sneeze and I feel a cold coming on - how glam
Gestational diabetes that I'm finding very difficult to control - Can't eat bread, potatoes, pasta and this morning I discover that plain porridge sends my blood sugar sky high. Looks like I'm eating meat and raw veg or meat and cooked veg for the next 3 months.
Persistant evening sickness which renders me useless and none communicative beyond 9pm.
My boss has turned into an ego maniac and seems to think it's reasonable to have me run round like a headless chicken over the next 9 weeks for new projects that I won't even see phase one of, as part of his power building plan.

I want to go home and lie in a deep bath reading a good book. Tomorrow I will look on the bright side and count my blessings but for today I is uber grumpy!

Thanks for the oportunity to moan.

emmab5 · 13/10/2010 10:59

Ooh goody I could really do with a moan:

I'm 34 weeks pregnant with DC3 and sick of people asking 'was it planned'! WTF!

Am exhaused and not finishing work for another 3 weeks

Fed up of Heartburn, GD and being anaemic

Sooo sooo had enough of people saying 'are you sure there's only one in there'! aaaarrh! And no i'm not having a baby elephant!!!! Will not be responsible for my actions next time I hear this Angry

Think I might be a little bit hormonal :o

Lavitabellissima · 13/10/2010 11:06

All of the above at 31 weeks

Plus - it took me half an hour to take the varnish off my toe nails, I was exhausted. I decided to book a lovely pedicure, which was wonderful Smile but my friend told me yesterday that they remove your nail varnish before a c section Angry

At least it's my last day at work Grin

mamacorner · 13/10/2010 11:24

This thread makes me feel better, I'm delightedly pregnant for the third time at 40, after a ten year break..but I really don't remember pregnancy to be SO uncomfortable..and I'm only 23 weeks!!!

I'm tired most of the time, suffering heartburn and insomnia but best of all are the varicose veins developing ( and not just on my legs! (shock) making it extremely uncomfortable to do anything that involves being on my feet for more than a couple of hours, I fear the worst as this baby gets bigger and heavier , I can't imagine another 16 or so weeks! My last two pregnancies I positively "bloomed" throughout.( Or maybe I remember it more fondly than the reality!)

Maybe it's just my age, but I wonder if my body will be ruined forever this time around!!

hairytriangle · 13/10/2010 11:31

Oh crikey. I'm only six weeks (first pg) and am unbelievably tired and have sore boobs. I'm scared about what I'm in for !

tablefor3 · 13/10/2010 11:36

Adding mine:

I pulled a muscle in my back on Thursday. I am in crawling-on-the-floor agony, but PG, so nothing stronger than a hot water bottle and paracetamol is allowed. I tried a massage, but that just helped lighten my wallet.

Am 38+ wks, so yes, not long left, but at this rate I will need an epidural just to deal with my back, forget getting the baby out!

Also, since DD is 23 months, the instruction "not to lift anything heavy" or be "too physically active" is not really very useful.

Oh yes, and DH, you need to decide if you are actually going to be useful, giving me that daily massage that GP (and you) suggested, getting stuff for me etc or not. I don't mind if it is "not", but in that case please just shut up about how you can't bear to see me "in agony the whole time"; it makes you more of a pain than the pulled muscle.

grrr..... as you were.....

missdt · 13/10/2010 11:39

Oh yes please...

Am 35+6 and have:

Weakness which comes in huge waves
Aching hips
A part of my bum/back/top of legs that clicks and catches and makes me cry in pain when it gets bad
Anxiety due to placenta previa
Uncomfortable sleep
Crying at least once a day
DH who despite usually being a lovely kind man cannot compute what it is like to be 8 months pregnant and is being insensitive (but then I don't know if some of it's actually just me and my hormones being unreasonable).

But having said all that I am very happy to be here.

missdt · 13/10/2010 11:42

ha ha tablefor3 my DH tells me to get some rest and sit down but then doesn't do the washing up for 3 days - I'd rather just get it done.

smokeybacon · 13/10/2010 11:48

Goody, a moan thread.

33+5 with twins:

Farking huge bump with very lively babies
Cannot walk more than 200 yards without pain in bump/groin
Need to pee at least 4 times a night
SOOOOOOOO tired
2 boisterous DSs to deal with at the same time
Nothing fits me anymore
Exhausted just putting shoes on
Pelvic floor shot to pieces already
Prospect of ILs coming to stay "to help" at half term
My 40th birthday looming in 11 days time
Cannot get comfy anywhere except surrounded by a mountain of cushions

But am not yet ready for 2 newborns to arrive just yet!!!

emmyloo2 · 13/10/2010 11:57

35+6:

  1. Having to go to the toilet every 30 min or so. Really annoying
  1. Sore boobs. My nipples sometimes feel like they are burning and it's incredibly painful.
  1. A baby which is still sitting right under my ribs making it difficult to get comfortable and eat
  1. I find it hard to put my underpants or tights on because of the bump.
  1. Still have another 2 weeks and 2 days of work left....
  1. Really really want the baby here now. This has been the longest 9 months ever!!
tablefor3 · 13/10/2010 13:18

missdt I know, I know! DH is generally great, really he is, and much better at cleaning than me.

But on this.... hhmm.... hanging the laundry out, unloading the dishwasher, asking if I want something from the kitchen...

emmab5 · 13/10/2010 13:57

Hairytriangle - Congratulations and don't worry pregnancy is great really :o

Lizzzombie · 13/10/2010 14:11

Yay! Its not just me! Grin

Today at work I had 2 women in who were less pregnant than me but already on maternity leave. That also makes me want to scream.

Plus I had three, yes 3 seperate people say how small my bump was. I swear, its really not. Its just because I have GIGANTIC boobs, its messed up my body proportions.

I am fed up of not being able to bend forward.

I am sure my maternity jeans are too low cut and if I wasn't wearing granny knickers underneath my ungroomed under carriage would be showing. I can't see under the bump to give myself a wax/haircut! - so it can't be that much of a small bump!

If it wasn't going to aggrevate my heartburn and probably make me puke I'd pour myself a glass of wine.

OP posts:
naturalbaby · 13/10/2010 14:20

am only 25 weeks...

nasty varicose vein at back of knee so only comfy to keep leg totally straight - not helpful with 2 ds's to run round after and changing nappies

just tweaked a muscle or something at top of bump. ow ow ow

lucybrad · 13/10/2010 16:22

28+4 weeks

Heartburn
Anaemia
Unable to sleep because of hips
Worry of low lying placenta
Bump seems to be encroaching into my chest
Boobs are really saggy, and no bra will fit.
Cant bend
Need to go to the loo for 100 times a night
and ragging allergic rhinitus that has my nose streaming allday!

bitingfairy · 13/10/2010 17:34

I need a moan too. Happy to be naturally pregnant after 3 years ttc and tests for problems, but I'm sure it wasn't this bad for this long last time. Am 25 weeks with lingering hyperemesis, 3 types of tablets all of them sedative, so I'm exhausted when I take them and vomiting when i don't. Just started my own business before I found out I was pregnant - talk about timing, so no money as I haven't been able to work properly to get the business up & running and will need to start mat leave as soon as possible just to (barely) survive. Add aching hips, breathless going up stairs, insomnia, feel like I've pulled muscles in my thighs and killer heart burn and I am truly a happy and cheerful person. A delight to be around.....not!

Rocklover · 13/10/2010 17:36

I am 24+3 (I think, pregnancy brain has made me lose count) and I am waaaaaay beyond fed up.

I cannot find ANY maternity clothes locally, I don't fit into anything and I look huge.

I have heartburn all the time.

Feel nauseous most of the time which makes me anxious about going out.

I am up 3-4 times a night to pee.

I find it impossible to eat healthy food (see nausea above).

I am knackered due to low iron (just doing the washing up kills me).

I want the baby out so this pregnancy is over, but I am also extremely worried about the birth (going for a VBAC). I can't bloody win!

God I love a good moan Grin.

Crystylline · 13/10/2010 20:49

got to join you all!

25 weeks today!

Clicky hips
Shoulder pain, so can't sleep
Leggings and tights that keep falling down
ego-maniac boss being seriously rude and helpful
3 times a night for a pee
reflux

rudbekia · 13/10/2010 21:11

oooo! Me too! Need a good moan.... Grin

30+4

Pins and needles in feet and hands
Sore right hip
Broken nights - needing to pee and VERY lively baby
Sudden and intense hunger leading to shakes
Maternity jeans ceased to fit over a month ago due to low-lying bump...bloody waste of money!
Short-term memory is shot which makes work difficult
Being kicked in the bladder
Falling asleep by 10pm

think that's it! oh for the energy and optimism of the 'middle months'

MammaK · 13/10/2010 21:40

Thank you Lizzzombie I too am sure that my friends are getting a little tired of hearing my grumbles and the farce that is my maternity care so here goes...

26 weeks, indigestion, insomnia, my bits feel like they are twice the size and weigh a ton (sorry Blush). Baby is dancing the paso doble feet down for most of the night and when I am in very important meetings(of course)! My left leg would not look out of place on a house bound pensioner, I become a complete dribbler after about 8.30 and I am so frustrated with the NHS I could scream!!!

I have gestational diabetes - the same as in my first pregnancy and am spending sooooo many damned wasted hours waiting to be told how to suck eggs in 2 clinics each week!

The diabetic clinic in the renal unit do not talk with the diabetic unit in the obstetric dept. Why am I so surprised by this? So to cut a very long story short I haven't been able to eat anything with any sugar in (inc. fruit) for weeks - even milk is a no no! So then I am lectured in diet as I'm losing weight... while they drag their feet over meds and I record every morsel that enters my mouth and prick my fingers umpteen times each day.

Then they realise it is bad, send for yet another GTT (yeeeurkh) having already given me prescription knowing I'll fail (this was obstetric diabetic clinic... you following?) then when I fail, obstetrics say it is actually so bad it is 'impaired'... leave meds and come in again for a re-test! Then I get a flustered phone call from diabetic unit asking why I haven't collected meds I am badly diabetic - they don't think meds will work they have insulin ready for me - come to another clinic this week!!!

AAArrrggghhh my boss is being understanding but it really is as if I'm taking the piss and they really are as each dept is telling me different things!

I really want some chocolate and pear cider and my DH is being a moody arse!

It's a bloody good job the end result is so worth it!!!

sam26oscar · 13/10/2010 22:53

MammaK you hit the nail on the head, it is a bloody good job the end result is so worth it!! Only 19+6 so few complaints, but got another 20 weeks to rectify that little problem. Just think those of you with 6-8 weeks to go will have a beautiful newborn whilst i will be going through what you are now Grin

CardiCorgi · 14/10/2010 17:29

36+4

Itchy
tired
need the loo all the time
mentally completely unprepared
