Good Morning Everyone,

Just had a go of the list - hopefully haven't messed it up too much! I'm excited / freaking out that I'm 30 weeks today! Got loads and loads to do so it's time to get organised bigtime in Happyland.

Lee huge big congratulations that's just fab fab news and a lovely name too

Loopy Banana Viv got all my fingers crossed for you all - really hope you all get good news.. best best best of luck

Alba hope the chocolate is working Smile

Louise TFLS Sam - best of luck with your pending births - how amazing to be at the top of the list!! Gosh super excited for you all.

Unbuffy Gilda hope you are both doing well

Have a good Wednesday lunchtime all Smile

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 29/09/2010 13:22

Lee massive congratulations on the safe arival of your little man. Stay in bed and let others do stuff for you for a while :)

Loopy Sorry you're having trouble with your SCH. I have been there, too, with DS's pregnancy. Mine happened at 32 weeks and didn't resolve itself, but the outcome was still a healthy, if early and little, happy boy. if you live in east devon, are you under RD+E care?

Banana really hope this one is sticky for you.

muser I had HG with DS and stopped feeling sick around 22 weeks. Apparently, statistically, 95% of women who experience NVP stop feeling sick by the time between 20 and 23 weeks.

~passes alba some cookies~

unbuffy I like it here. I grew up in Munich, and much prefer the quiet life to the big city.

easy labour vibes for sam and TFLS

magic8 didn't you have a scan today?

waves, hugs and chocolate for everyone I've forgotten.

I think I'm feeling a bit better.. good scan and house news certainly helped. Now I'm just exhausted. I wish I had kept up my weekly swimming masters session, but I just don't have the energy. Now my stomach muscles have split again already, I'm not even sure it's ok to go swimming.
DH has been a star, last night he cooked, and did bath and bedtime with DS WITHOUT me even having to say anything to him. He's cooking tonight as well :o
I need a good 24 hours of solid sleep, and wake up without feeling sick or dizzy. I think I've messed up my sleeping patterns because I'm exhausted by 8:30, so when DS is in bed, I fall asleep, then wake up at about 11 and find it impossible to go back to sleep before about 2am...

Quickie from me - scan was fine. Can't see any reason for any spotting, and everything was as it should be. Strangely, St Mary's reckon I'm 9+2 rather than 9 wks exactly which, quite frankly, is absolutely impossible IYSWIM... Wink Still, am not going to quibble! (I won't change my dates on the list though - out of superstition more than anything!)

ivy - nice to hear you sounding so upbeat, and loopy, hope you're not fretting too much missus.

Hopefully · 29/09/2010 18:25

Evening! All good news from the scan - baby is measuring bang on for dates, and was chilling out (arms above head, legs crossed at the ankles) for the duration of the scan. I nearly died when she took a few seconds longer than I've previously known them to before turning the screen around, but it was all OK. Sonographer remembered me from my early scan and was v friendly, which was lovely too.

Viv glad it was good scan news for you too!

Off to phone more people and tell them....

toomuchteaching · 29/09/2010 19:21

Woop woop Lee, amazing news. Love the names too. Sorry you had to show off your bum, but a real life baby... sooooo worth it.

Congrats too to hopefully and viv, and Shock to the split muscles ivy, I don't like the sound of that.

Know there are other people waiting for good news, so keeping my fingers tightly crossed.

All good here, school is rattling along making the weeks go so fast... am starting to feel really drained at the end of the day though, and I just don't know how I'm going to make it to 37 1/2 weeks still working... hmm Hmm

Have a lovely evening all.

hi everyone,

lee huge congrats on your new little boy. :)

hopefully and viv thank goodness good news on scans. Yey :)

Well I thought I was starting to get better on Sat, went out for evening and managed to eat real food, converse with grown ups and stay up till midnight. :)

However, back to normal next day so obviously thats a bit crap.

Have had rotten couple days, dh and I are really not getting on, (if you've seen my dh writing dc's out of will thread)

Today I've been getting bh on and off all day, not painful but obvious. Am 15 wks tomorrow and can't remember getting them this early with any of the others, Any suggestions?

randomimposter · 29/09/2010 21:30

lee BIG congrats, hope your gorgeous new arrival settling in well.
Great news on all the positive scans, and loopsy and banana thinking of you and hoping all well..

BUT really popped on to say to send Liah a MASSIVE squeeze, have just skimmed your other thread and really feeling for you. I hope all resolves itself in the best way for your whole family.

Hi to everyone else, sorry if I've missed owt else big (spesh wave to Alba cos she's my fave... shit, did I say that out loud?) Wink

barrenbrook · 30/09/2010 06:59

Lee yey, congratulations on your new arrival, so pleased for you, sending lots of love x

Hello to everyone else, sorry for shortness of post, rushing around before work so probably shouldn't even be on here!

clareanna · 30/09/2010 07:50

Hurray Lee! welcome to the world baby boy! great to hear from you - can't wait to hear what your DD thinks of her new brother!
Hope your recovery is quick and that the hospital are looking after you

Hopefully hurray for you too! you're officially actually pregnant!!

Viv my dates were 2 days ahead as well at 9 weeks even though I knew that wasn't the case... it's a boy thing I reckon... Wink

happy congrats on the big 3-0 can't believe you're there already ifkwim! top of the list soon!!!

ivy glad you are being looked after. Could you ask your GP about swimming? if it's something that makes you feel better then worth seeing if you can still do it?

loopy just sending you a hug - you're being so brave - it must be very frightening

toomuch am just doing the Mat leave maths at the moment, don't know whether to work longer or not.... your post has given me food for thought!
I could go off at xmas, which would give me 7 weeks before I'm due (hee hee) as i've got 21 days hol to take, but I'm thinking about doing a couple of weeks in Jan as well. I'm in a mainly sitting down type of job, but it is quite stressful...

lia big hug to you, sounds like you're going through a really tough time. Don't know re BH - could be slightly stress related? best to check with your MW. Take care of yourslef and I hope you get things sorted.

redhead lovely to hear from you! glad you're getting a big bed and a kitchen finally.

alba how are you feeling?

big waves to everyone else - especially those at the top!!!

louisesh · 30/09/2010 08:57

Thanks HAPPYGIRL for your kind wishes.Due date tomorrow EEK!!!!!!!!!

Not much happening here apart from BH and loose stools!!!!

Still having bp checked twice a week again, just bordering [diastolic] on the "worrying" side according to worrywort MW!!!!! Booked in for a "sweep" next Wed.Glad all scans going/went well.

Still doesn t seem real that i m having a real life baby[think that will occur in the throes of labour!!!].Tomorrow they are going to book my induction date , could fall on the 13th Oct, which is the the annivarsay [2 years ago] when my first MMC was diagnosed at the scan...........So could be a good or very bad date.

Finally had a full 8 hours sleep last night, BLISS, not been sleeping very well at all.Carpal tunnel syndrome really playing up.Have to confess [sorry for moaning here!!!] that i have found the last 2 weeks the hardest [bar, the first 12 hellish weeks]
the waiting, slightly wary of venturing too far on my own in case my waters break, tired but not sleeping and the anxiety of our lifes and how we ll cope after the birth and not knowing when anything is going to happen!!!!

Can understand why "celebrities" who are too posh to push book a date for an elective CS....At least they ve got a date to aspire to!!!!!

Sorry for whinging.......Just fed up now!!!! HHi to everyone hope all are ok Smile

Hopefully · 30/09/2010 09:53

Liahgen When I had my scan the sonographer pointed out that I was having a BH during the scan (you can see the wall of the uterus bulging in). She said it's v common to get them throughout, and some women feel them and some don't (I don't - didn't feel a single one throughout entire pregnancy with DS).

Am officially and actually pregnant. Gulp. Now we have to think of boys names Confused. We had 2 names we really liked with DS, and my best friend recently used the other one! I'm sure well come up with plenty more - in a way I don't want to use the name I had 'rejected' for DS if we end up with another boy. Also I have to convince DP that my girl name is amazing and not wildly hippy and also spelled in a funny way. Grin

VivClicquot · 30/09/2010 10:31

Just popping on to send liah lots of love. It sounds like an incredibly difficult situation for you and your family, and I hope you resolve things for you and your children x

clareanna - funnily enough, my spidey senses are leaning boy-wards... Wink

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 30/09/2010 11:17

HULLLLOOOO!!

Congratulations to Lee on the arrival of Andrew! So lovely to hear :) Hope you are feeling better today x

Good luck Louise :) Wont be long now!!!!

Sorry you are having a tough time Liah hope you work things out soon. x

BIGFATWAVE to everyone! xxx

All fine with the Magicbeans both thrashing around in there yesterday already competing for the limelight while the sonographer did the measurements etc. So complete relief after I had a total meltdown on Tues night that everything was going wrong - anxiety clearly induced by the scan, the fact that it is fast approaching 17 weeks and I am taking cyclogest which made me feel like my waters were leaking IYKWIM???? Blush Blush Blush

AlbaDeTamble · 30/09/2010 12:05

Awww, big hello back to you too Jolls, hope the pate, OBSB and your little boy all helping keep you going. And that if you want to be you're back here soon... blimmin exhausting I can tell you, I sailed through with DS and really struggling this time, hate to think what I'll be like when I get to the top of the list. But a few kicks and squirbles and feeling crap just pales into insignificance. I know I'm lucky.

Louise, TFLS, Effilump, SamB... I keep checking in for more happy baby news. Great that you got 8hrs sleep last night Louise, it may be years before you get such luxury again!!

Viv I was also measuring a few days ahead at ten weeks, also having a boy... Not sure that's enough of us to make a proper scientific study though!

Can I just say also everything that Clareanna said? Still a bit foggy headed for a long name-check, signed off till the end of the week and have agreed with my lovely boss that I'll log in to try to catch up a bit in the next few days but he'll keep my daily stuff covered and won't tell anyone I'm there so I won't get bombarded with queries. Really nice way to get back up to speed after feeling so rough.

Effilump · 30/09/2010 12:59

Lovely news on the scans hopefully and viv. My dates were also 2 days ahead, and another boy!
Also nothing much happening except BH and loose stools, and a few period type cramps off and on over the past few days.
My last DC was two weeks late though, so not getting my hopes up!
Hello to everyone.Smile

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 30/09/2010 16:20

oh god, DS just fell down the whole length of our stairs. Luckily they are carpeted and he seems to have litterally bounced back, but my heart almost stopped.

been baking today - ~passes out mocha cake~

Meita · 30/09/2010 16:37

Congratulations Lee! Hope you are having a good time getting to know your newest family member :)

Grin for all those who had good scans, and fingers crossed for everybody worried and waiting and suffering.

And all the best for TFLS and Louise! Will be checking for news :)

northerngoldilocks · 30/09/2010 16:55

Hi everyone,

Have been v bad at lurking recently and not posting. Can't face writing messages on my phone as tend to lose them and don't seem to get chance on the laptop. Poor excuse I know, will try harder. I've had a midwife appt today so thought I'd make the most of finishing work early and having some time to myself.

Congrats to Ivy, Battery, Viv, Magicand Hopefully on your scans.

Loopy sorry to hear things have been stressful, have my fingers crossed that everything sorts itself out.

Muser glad the sickness is sort of easing off and how exciting re feeling movements. Also v jealous that Magic can feel movements already - although wonder if having 2 of them in there helps with that? I haven't felt anything yet, although as this will hopefully be #1 for me I suppose its too early. I also don't look remotely pregnant so all still feels a bit surreal.

Lee congrats on the new arrival, hope you're enjoying your newly expanded family.

Clareanna hope your brain isn't too fried with trying to work out your mat leave. I've been looking at mine - given the holiday year and the fact I can't carry holiday over, its looking like I"ll have to finish at the end of Jan - really not that keen on that option, can seem that I'll be really bored!

Alba - hope you're feeling better after some time off

Banana hope that you're ok and that things work out.

SamB how are you feeling? Are you on maternity leave yet?

Sorry I haven't namechecked everyone else, will try to post more frequently in future!

sparklyrainbow · 30/09/2010 17:10

Congratulations Lee!

Good news on all the positive scans, hope banana and loopy get some soon too. Liah sorry for the awfulness and hope you get things sorted out a bit more soon.

Clareanna, Alba, Viv and Effilump I was also a couple of days ahead at 12 week scan, also having a boy. Therefore conclusive proof, clearly (or it would be on Brainiac!).

3 weeks til half term here, can't wait. Then just 3 more weeks at work :) Only worked 2 days so far this week and I'm exhausted Blush- being woken up by squirming and kicking at 5am every day isn't helping much either, bless him! SPD pain has been a little bit better though. Had lucozade challenge bloods yesterday (standard round here) and now have added potential of GD to my things to worry about...no particular reason why!

Right, better do some work- GOOD LUCK Louise and hope there's some lovely news from TFLS soon....

stuffedmk · 30/09/2010 17:15

Hello all, just popping my head in quickly. Haven't been on for ages but will have to read through what I have missed when I have more time.
I had my scan and have been put forward to 4th April, all looked good so am starting to chill a bit Wink Grin
I think I have even felt some little flutterings over the last few days Grin

Hi ladies. Typing on my phone so wont get to everyone. So pleased for you hopefully!!! Woohoo!!!

I am ok. The brown cm is on and off but fingers crossed, not heavier. I am feeling fine until I eat, then sick... What's up with that? And also I am finding it hard to eat ready salted crisps and I love them!!! As always worried that I'm not feeling sick enough. I went from 12:30-6 without eating and was fine. According to my dates I'm 5+2, according to lmp I'm 5+6...in any case, is of normal not to be sicker by now??? I was v sick with dd from 6+5 but still I'm worried...roll on 12 weeks if this works out!!!!

batteryhen · 30/09/2010 19:13

Wow this thread is busy today :)

lee congrats on your littl eboy - gorgeous name too.

viv and hopefully - glad your scans were good - a nice relief:)
lia I hope your'e Ok - sounds like you are having a hard time xx
ivy - you sound better, but I winced at the split muscles!
banana- I only started to feel queasy at around 7 weeks, and even now don't really get bad morning sickness.
magic good to know your beans are keeping active and already competing for top spot!

Hello to everyone else too

I saw the MW for the first time today. She said that because my BMI is 28 I might have to have a glucose tolerance test. Great. Haven't had my bloods done as she doesn't do them - so I have to go along to the hospital. She did ask me if me and DP were 'related' ?? (brother / sister - cousins)- I know we live in the back of beyond but really!!:) made me smile:)

I am dying to hear from TFLS!!
