Loopy what a worrying time for you - not what you need. But I guess that like you said you just need to take each day and wait till your next scan. Things may be just fine and the heartbeat and growth of your bean is really good news. Just take it easy and try to stay positive

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 28/09/2010 13:12

HaPpY BiRtHdAy Buffy!

Loopsy I understand how you must feel about the SH. Have been there and it is scary as hell. There is a positive thread going at the moment with some ladies who are at different stages of preg with SHs, some on bed rest. Take it easy and try not to worry, but I know this is hard. Each day at a time xx

Exciting stuff Muser on the tummy wiggles!!

Hang in there Bannana x

Wonder if lee has her bundle yet?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Sparkle with your hot chocolate! How you feeling today??

Afternoon all - illegally popping on from work - after just woofing down a bean burger salad and potato wedges - urggghh

Lee am so excited! good luck today - want a full report on how it goes, what to expect - it must be so weird walking in and thinking right, I'm going to have a baby now!

TFLS eeek - can't wait for an update from you too!

SamB hope you are feeling OK today?

Alba how are you feeling?

loopy good news that all is progressing - the haematoma sounds very scary. glad you are being monitored and that you know it's there ikywim?
Please try to look after yourself and don't scare yourself too much x

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNBUFFY no cake emoticon, so here's a Biscuit

Gilda good to hear from you mate, was thinking we hadn't heard from you the other day (luckily the thought did not have a "westlife effect" you'll be pleased to hear!)

sparkly SPD is horrid - PG alone makes it hard enough to bend down.

Ivy congrats on the new house Smile

magic sorry to hear you've been feeling low - hope tomorrow's scan puts a big smile on your face.

hopefully best of luck to you too for tomorrow

battery lol at the manfarts! at least you're not doing them uncontrollably in public yet....(the joys of pregnancy!) hasten to add that I'm not, but my friend had a real problem with that!

banana hope the cramps have settled a bit now

tatty welcome, totally understandable how you're feeling, I couldn't do the "excited" thing for ages and the antenatal threads just upset me with their general innocence! you're welcome to pull up a comfy chair here though!

muser good to hear from you - soo excited that you're feeling flutters - how's the sickness? has it calmed down?

As for me - have studiously avoided all westlife, take that, michael buble etc and boobs have behaved themselves - phew. Will consider writing to the Westlife fan club - think I will use a special green mad woman pen and use a page ripped out of a spiral bound notebook

have got my 20 week scan on friday and am actually quite excited. Also got brian ache as trying to work out mat leave start date, do I have lots of time off before or just two weeks and cut down my hours beforehand? working out when I'd have to come back into the business is just depressing me!

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 28/09/2010 18:02

Dear god the heartburn, feel like I have drunk a pint of acid Envy

Glad you found the SH thread Loopsy think positive x

Hi Clareanna glad your bangers are behaving Grin I am already winding down work at 15 weeks and will be finished by xmas (the earliest I can claim mat allowance) and will just be skint sooner! LOL!

Hopefully · 28/09/2010 18:42

Magic Oh god, the heartburn last time nearly killed me. I had the easiest pg ever, apart from the heartburn, but it was enough all by itself.

DP still suspended from work on amazingly non-existent accusation Hmm, so he'll be able to come to scan tomorrow.

Loopy poor you, how worrying. I do hope it's good news, but remaining neither positive or negative is probably the only way to go for now.

Banana I don't really think of myself as pregnant now, I will only be pregnant if there's a baby there tomorrow. process is about right for how I feel too. On the plus side, if I am pregnant, it's a lot shorter than the usual 40 weeks Grin

Muser · 28/09/2010 19:19

clareanna fingers crossed the sickness finally seems to be going. I'm going longer between tablets now and hoping I might be able to stop taking them altogether. Don't want to just stop cold turkey in case I'm not actually cured. But we'll see how I go. I am 18 weeks so it would be very nice not to worry about puking anymore!

banana87 · 28/09/2010 19:31

Brown CM again :( It started last week a day before BFP then stopped Sat/Sun and has started again. That plus lower backache does not have me hopeful. Have stuck a pad on and am waiting for the worst. I know that sounds negative, but thats how I feel. And honestly, its not the potential mc (or late period as I will refer to it, as I am only just 5 weeks) its the worry that I will never be able to have another baby. So no sibling for my DD. :(

Thanks Loopy. Sorry your scan wasn't great news today, I really hope nothing comes of it. Lots of sticky vibes for you!

I went to GP today and told them NOT to refer me to the midwives as I want to deal with it on my own for now. I cannot think about a scan, and at 6 weeks I know its highly likely to get an inconclusive result.

batteryhen · 28/09/2010 20:50

Just popping in to say hopefully I hope your scan is fine, and you get to see your wiggly bean, and to banana - hugs your way xx

All quiet here, my midwife called today and said because of sickness they can't see me next week so want to see me on Thursday this week, which I am happier about, so I have picked up my antenatal pack and am going to watch the DVD later :)

Big wave to everyone else xxx

LeeWT · 29/09/2010 08:26

loopy sorry to hear the scan was so mixed. Crossing everything that it will be ok for you..

Sorry for not namechecking anyone else I'm on my phone which is nightmare!

Sooo the news you've all been waiting for...
A PERFECT baby boy, Andrew Anthony, born 9.50am weighing in at 7lbs 13oz..

After what felt like an hours sleep on Monday night we snuck out of the house before poor abandoned dd woke up and off we went. Tried to get a private room but none available :-(

Out of all the scheduled sections mine was first so off we toddled (bum hanging out of gown and dh walking strategically behind me) like for godsake someone design a surgical gown for preggers people! It was very surreal and nervewracking when tho I've had an elective section before. They had terrible trouble gettigg the spinal in and that got me a bit wound up but before we knew it all was underway and out came gorgeous baby boy - what a surprise!

Tough day yday as my bp crashed and I was extremely groggy. As any of you who've had sections know the first couple days are the worst and I still haven't been out of bed or anything but it's all worth it for my wee man..

His big sister doesn't know about him yet so can't wait til 2pm til she comes in it's so hard being away from her..

tfls you next honey best of luck xxx

VivClicquot · 29/09/2010 09:30

Oh lee - congratulations on the arrival of your lovely boy. I'm so thrilled for you and your family. :)

loopy - sounds as though you have exactly the right positive attitude missus, so fingers crossed things will sort themselves out!

banana - sorry you're having such a tough time of it. Take it easy over the coming days.

As for me - some of you know i had a teeny tiny incey wincey bit of pinky discharge (it wasn't enough to call spotting) on Monday night and yesterday morning, so I'm going in for a(nother) scan this afternoon. Am pretty relaxed tbh - the out of hours EPU saw me yesterday afternoon and said everything looks fine and there's been no bleed, so it's probably nothing to worry about. Fingers crossed. :)

Hope you all have lovely days x

AlbaDeTamble · 29/09/2010 09:32

Gosh what mixed news here this morning.

Firstly, wow Lee, congratulations Grin fabulous news, and very impressed at you keeping us all updated so soon!! Really happy to read all is well, hope your recovery is swift

TFLS and Sam thinking easy labour thoughts for you both and awaiting more good news.

How does it feel to be nearly top of the list Unbuffy? I remember your bfp and the calm zen-like thoughts as if it were yesterday! Only slightly jealous that I got bumped back a month, but despite me feeling dreadful, third time lucky bump is kicking away madly so I'm focussing on that. It's all good even if I do have to stay in bed and be bored. Really not long and he'll be kicking in a cot instead.

Good luck everyone with imminent scans, hopefully, clareanna, and someone else, I'm bound to remember the second I post.

banana, thinking of you, hang in there, it could still all be fine with this one, but even if not that doesn't mean all hope lost for another baby though I know how tough it is to try to stay positive. Big hugs.

Loopy, scary stuff, hope you're taking it very easy. Can't think of the right reassuring words, big hugs for you too. You sound so incredibly positive and must admit in a crisis I do find your 'plan for the worst but expect the best' attitude is really helpful. Am expecting the best for you Smile

and thanks for the chocolate reminder. If I feel a bit better this afternoon will head out with my 10% off hotel chocolat voucher and stock up for us all! (my excuse is high iron content in dark chocolate, so as a veggie I really do need to eat lots of it Smile).

Big waves and hellos to everyone else, sorry this is as much of a namecheck as my poor befuddled brian can manage just now...

AlbaDeTamble · 29/09/2010 09:35

Crossed posts Viv. Fingers tightly crossed for you for this afternoon

tattyteddy · 29/09/2010 09:56

Banana, hope everything goes well for you, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Take care xx

Loopy, hang on in there, hoping the best for you. Take care xxx

Viv - hopefully nothing to worry about, keep my fingers crossed for you too.

Look after your self ladies and lots of love xxxxxxxxx

banana87 · 29/09/2010 10:30

Congratulations Lee on the birth of your baby boy :)

Best of luck today Hopefully and Viv.

No brown this morning and backache subsiding. Took another pregnancy test just to make sure and will later take it apart (its a digi) to study the line...lol. Feeling a little queasy now that I am up. It is DD's 2nd birthday today so we are both off and having a day with her and dinner later at Pizza Express with family...can't wait! Happy Birthday Emily! xxx

Muser · 29/09/2010 11:23

WONDERFUl news Lee, congratulations on your baby boy. It's so lovely seeing the babies arrive. Don't even think about getting out of bed.

Loopy I hope everything is ok, will be keeping things crossed for you.

Banana also crossing stuff for you. I know we all assume the worst when we get spotting, but it's true that sometimes it's nothing. Hope it turns out to be nothing for you.

I am getting regular movements now, which is lovely. Thought my sickness had subsided and missed some pills yesterday. Promptly threw up this morning. I'm nearly 19 weeks!

Effilump · 29/09/2010 11:43

Congratulations Lee Lovely news.
