Loopy thats fantastic news - I'm really pleased for you. Fingers crossed the next 30 weeks will be more relaxed!

Sam hope you're doing ok, I'm a massive control freak and very impatient so know when its my turn to wait I'll cope very badly!

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 13/10/2010 14:27

Great news Loopsy!!

SamanthaB123 · 13/10/2010 14:48

Nothern The waiting is so tiresome. It's made worse because I've finished work - to have my baby. Of course I no longer go to work but don't have the baby. I also had my other two daughters at 39 and 39+3 which is kind of where I am now, so in my mind I am expecting to have the baby by the weekend. My body however may well have totally different ideas!

Im out ladies. Have had a huge bleed at work and taken by ambulance to hospital. Waiting to see someone but I know what happening. No pain, bleeding slowed now but I know it's another miscarriage. Will update when I'm home.

Sarahlou8 · 13/10/2010 16:24

Oh Banana, I'm so sorry - I know I replied to you on another thread yesterday about the bleeding.
I hope you have lots of support around you - it's never easy to know what to say except that we've all experienced this on this thread and know what you're going through and how devastating it is.
Take care and take it easy over the next few days.

Goodluckbear · 13/10/2010 16:32

Oh Banana I'm so very sorry. Thinking of you x

banana87 · 13/10/2010 19:37

Thank you all. I cannot believe this but there was a heartbeat and all is ok.

I had a huge gush of blood, puddles of blood in fact, ambulance called, followed by sitting waiting in a&e. No one was coming so I called the private hospital and they got a consultant from the gynae ward to call me. He had me transferred to him, straight to have scan and first thing out of sonographers mouth "Oh good, baby is fine.". I could have fainted. Then they examined me and cervix is tightly closed.

I'm still bleeding, more of a light period now but requiring a pad.

Does anyone have experience of this???

BTW, so pleased for you Loopsy.

Muser · 13/10/2010 19:38

Oh banana, I had a little feeling it might be ok. I nearly posted about it but thought it would sound stupid if I said "maybe it will be ok".

That's so wonderful though. Do you know where the bleeding is coming from?

clareanna · 13/10/2010 19:44

jeepers banana that is brilliant! Do they think it's a haematoma? Sooo relieved for you!

banana87 · 13/10/2010 19:48

Nope, no idea. They saw no reason either, just prescribed bed rest for a week. I had a sliver of hope because there were no clots and the bleeding had slowed, but was SO not expecting that to become a reality!

AlbaDeTamble · 13/10/2010 19:51

what a rollercoaster! That's fabulous banana! And forgot to say earlier, great news for Loopy too... 13th today -- definitely a lucky date Smile

Gi1da · 13/10/2010 19:55

YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! Victory dance around the room!!! Kisses upon you Banana and to Banana Bean for hanging on tight Grin

Gi1da · 13/10/2010 19:57

And a triumphant Mexican wave to Loopy too!

sparklyrainbow · 13/10/2010 20:03

Yay, excellent news Loopy and Banana, so happy for you both, especially Banana. Sounds terrifying but banana bean is there! Wow! Grin

Sam, hope your baby gets a move on, I'm getting quite impatient now!

Anyone know how long iron supplements take to have an effect btw? Hoping I can get over the extreme exhaustion sooner rather than later...

clareanna · 13/10/2010 20:33

Ps toomuch we are clearly food twins - I too laid waste to a packet of Angel delight last night (hangs head in shame- but think of the calcium)
