I might be crazy but I'm going to start potty training today in the hope that DS2 cracks it by the time I'm back at work and he's back at nursery on Tuesday.

DS2 is 3.1, but has only really been interested in the potty and aware of wees for the last few weeks.

Anyone else doing potty boot camp this weekend who wants to compare notes?

don't be Sad madness they all get there in the end. Do you think getting him to drink more so that he has really wet nappies for a while would make it easier next time? Watermelon or cucumber, that's mostly water isn't it?

Day five here, yesterday she was very unwilling to use the potty if I asked her so today I'm just trying to let her get on with it. A couple of times this morning she's asked to go and done a wee in the potty Grin. The rest of the time she's wet her trousers a bit and then rushed off to the potty. Only one huge puddle in the middle of the rug Angry. (I should have lifted it up because it bleeds colour onto the carpet underneath it if it gets wet). We'll get there in the end. Smile

One week on for us. We've had two good days with only one or two wee accidents, but today I tried to get him to tell me when he needed to go and every wee and poo has been an accident :-(. I think we'll go back to sitting on the potty once an hour for a day or so. He's getting there slowly I think.

Hi Loubielou,
My little girl is now telling me that she needs a wee however sometimes too late, still a long way to go though. My little boy is causing me concern he still doing little wees in the potty but still holds onto the big wees, he refuses to sit on the potty runs around jiggling trying to hold it in. I am feeling very despondent it in now day 7 and feel that even though he shows all the signs he is ready maybe he isn't.
I hope things are still going well and the potty boredom has lifted.

To be honest I'm now just letting her tell me when she needs to go. A couple of times she's got there a bit late, and a couple of times she's taken herself to the potty all by herself. We've even had a couple of poos in the potty, emptying it was unpleasant Envyurgh. No more need for bribes, just big girls knickers are the best. Even started using the big girl loo seat. Hooray.
Back to school runs this week though so I shall be going every where armed with a potty and a suitcase full of spare clothes. Grin good luck everyone.
