Tell me about your breasts after breastfeeding...

EBF dd1 for 10 months and we recently have transitioned onto formula while weaning solids.

So my question is - will my boobs go back to how they were before?! I expect some sagging, but how about the size?

And talk to me about your nipples when you finished BF. Did they change back?

My nipples became enormous during BF and I think my bra size went up 4-5 times throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding. My huge nipples are giving me low self esteem, They honestly seem to be taking up my entire boob!

Did anyone experience this during their breastfeeding journey and how was it after you stopped?

My boobs have vanished, are flat and empty. None of my bras fit. Nipples are normal (but they never really got big)

Boobs were never huge and are now deflated - nipples never really changed.

Nipples haven't changed. They look deflated and saggy, almost like I have too much skin. Already saving for a breast lift. I hate them so much- I used to have good boobs!

Boobs are a little bit saggier but still 3 sizes bigger than prior to getting pregnant. Nipples and areolas are still pretty big.

I bf for 18 months & recently stopped - when bf at the end my boobs were like deflated air bags honestly was awful, so much loose skin and basically no boob.

Now that I've stopped - I night weaned first about 1.5 months ago & fully stopped bf about 2 weeks ago, my boobs seem to have got some kind of volume back now that they're not being sucked dry. I am hoping that it's not milk & is actually some boobage.

They have sagged a little bit I think youth is on my side with this one. Nipples are fine have changed back and are now small again.

So far mine are totally the same as before pregnancy. But then, my size before pregnancy was 28G or something like that. So they weren't exactly cute and perky to begin with!

3 children and fed for a total of 7 years, they used to be lovely and round and full but now quite empty and flat. Nipples are exactly the same though.

Was a D before pregnancy, went up to an H whilst feeding, now an F. They’re slightly deflated but to be honest everything between neck and minge is 😂

I fed for 13 months. I’m a 38H, my boobs seem the same as before. Big boobs, big areolas, same tissue density. Obvious gravitational effects due to massive boobs. Have asked DP if he’s noticed any difference and apparently not.

Following with interest. I have been bf for 6.5 years constantly (more than 1 child!). I went from a C to an E cup. My nipples are huge and always erect. I'm hoping when I stop my nipples shrink but my boobs don't!

I stopped about 2 months ago after being either pregnant or breastfeeding without any gaps for just over 9 years. Boobs look amazing. Am very pleasantly surprised! Maybe it's not been long enough yet for them to change though.

My nipples were massive but are back to normal now. Boobs exactly the same as before (tiny!).

Mine went flat and empty 😭 although they weren't exactly big to begin with. However, I did read that it isn't breastfeeding that does that - it's pregnancy. My friend formula fed and said her boobs did the same as mine.

I found that mine felt a bit deflated for a few months but have filled out again. I am about two stone heavier than I was originally though so when/if I lose the weight I guess it might come off my breasts more than it would have done otherwise.

Nipples returned to normal, breasts 2 or 3 sizes bigger. It took a while for them to fill out and not look empty, I twice BF for 2 years and it took a few months for them to perk up each time.

After almost four years BFing I didn't have much left, but then got a free boob job thanks to the perimenopause / HRT so back to normal size now 😂

BF for 9 months each baby

We're like little tea bags when I stopped

Then slowly returned to normal

A year later they were exactly back to how they were before babies (34c)

I BF DD until 26 months, she’s now 34 months so think they have recovered.

I am 1-2 cup sizes bigger than pre baby (32DD to 32 E/F). Nipples marginally different, not much bigger though just a slightly different colour and shape. Not much in the way of sagging or anything, I think they are marginally lower and have lost some fullness on the top. But I’m mid 40’s so it’s possibly as much about my age than BF.

I didn’t get any stretch marks either though, I think that’s just lucky genes!

BF four DC. While Bfing, I was wonky as one boob was noticeably larger than the other. But once all done, boobs back to same size and no sagging. Which my radiologist weirdly complimented me on after my mammogram, saying my breasts were “youthfully dense”. I think it’s genetics though as I remember my mum saying something similar way back when.

The same as before (and it's 9 years since I stopped), except that BFing seems to have sorted out my inverted left nipple, which is a bit of a bonus.
