:) hello Lenni

The pombear thread was hysterical! See what you miss when you don't waste all your life on here? Take that as a lesson learned young lady Wink

Onein nursery, one reading "calm down boris". I need to google where I'm going this afternoon for a meeting abnd light the bloody fire

accessorizequeen · 23/11/2010 16:21

Dts love love love calm down boris!

Elibean · 24/11/2010 13:33

I can relate, Lenni Blush Nice to see you though, miss you!

AQ, big big birthday hugs and hopes that no one is vomiting anymore, sinuses are on the mend, and you've had some time to yourself to treat yourself a little (or a lot). Kids (little ones) and birthdays, pah - IME, they do not mix.

Full of cold and (kids) birthdays here - happy birthday all the other LOs this week!

xx

castlesintheair · 24/11/2010 14:54

Happy birthday mini Eli and Jabber this week!

Indith · 25/11/2010 15:09

How is it that they are turning 4 left, right and centre? I'm sure they were all born last week.

Lots of snow :) Great fun! Ds was a bit little and unsure last year but today he has been in his element. :)

jabberwocky · 27/11/2010 01:54

Happy Birthday to eli's dd2! Ds2 is having a bit of a birthday festival. We did a shopping trip the Saturday before, family party day of and he will have his friends party next Sunday. It's so difficult planning around Thanksgiving. Of course, the rest of you have Christmas (as we were on course for) so I should stop whining about it Blush

Anyway, still digesting after the enormous meal with the family. I think a juice fast may be in order...

SatinShoes · 27/11/2010 07:21

Happy Birthday to Eli's DD2.

Some rare time with just DD2 here as DD1 is on a sleepover. DD2 is loving all the attention - things seem much easier with 1 - and part of me feels sad for her for all the one on one time she misses out on. And yes, I know she benefits from DD1 etc but still....

Indith · 27/11/2010 16:48

Satin I get the same, I have a day a week with dd when ds is at nursery but I feel guilty a lot about not spending time with just him. He loves to do things that need more concentration like following the instructions on lego models or just doing numbers or writing but dd just swoops in every time and now she has given up on naps....

Snow too deep now Grin Dd can't walk at all as it is past her knees and it goes over the top of ds's boots, got home after aquick play out this morning and he had half a snowman melting into his socks!

castlesintheair · 27/11/2010 19:06

Very Envy of the snow. Want some!

Am shattered by the aftermath of the ball (that I organised): feel like I'm coming down with flu. Talk about an anti-climax. Think it was a success though - we raised about £7.5k.

Indith · 28/11/2010 09:55

That's a great total, well done!

Dcs gone out with dh and the sledge to fetch the paper. I am ignoring the cleaning and enjoying having my music on rather than postman bloody pat or jingle flipping bells and MNing without having my sleeve tugged Grin

jabberwocky · 28/11/2010 14:56

castles, that's amazing! Congratualtions. That would exhaust anyone. I hope it's not the flu.

Indith, sounds marvelous. We're enjoying the last of a 4 day weekend. I think I'm going to be worse than the dcs about going back on Monday Blush

Indith · 29/11/2010 07:34

10 inches ont he wall outside and snowing again. To battle through to toddler group or not? Tossing up the cold/snow/complaining for a bit of racing around with friends and some human contact with just staying at home inthe warm.

Indith · 30/11/2010 10:39

How is everyone? Yesterday snowed all day apat from about 20 mins, was crazy! Cabin fever seriously set it, need to try to persuade the dcs to go out today, hopefully by this afternoon enough dog walkers will have been on the track to make it compact enough to not drown the dcs Grin

TheDailyWail · 30/11/2010 20:21

Hi all! Oli - I'm hoping the advertising I'm giving you will bring a bit of business your way!

Snowed here. Walking was the best option. Cars stuck everywhere.

castlesintheair · 30/11/2010 20:47

I'm so jealous! We've had a piddling bit of snow but it hasn't settled. I so want a few days of no school and so do the DCs.

DD2's birthday today. She had a lovely day with about a million fairy related presents Smile.

accessorizequeen · 30/11/2010 22:16

Trouble is, castles, you end up with 7 inches of snow and STILL have to do the school run up here. I liked it over the weekend, but sick of it now. Took me 90 mins to do school run yesterday hefting buggy through snow and dragging ds2 at same time. I have to somehow take 3 kids to nursery tomorrow, get to work and then pick 4 up on the way home from 2 separate places. Should not be on the road, my street is just a sheet of ice. But what can I do?
All our little babies turning 4 and (sob) off to school soon. Bless them. DS2 getting quite thrilled about his birthday.

Lenni · 30/11/2010 22:38

4?! Surely not. Doesn't seem two minutes since I was stuffing cabbage leaves in my bra and moaning about afterpains. Actually I never did the cabbage leaves, I got freaked out by the supermarket after days alone with my tiny baby and left without the shopping. It seems just a breath ago.

Castles - what an amazing thing to have done. Congratulations and well done. You must be thrilled to have pulled that off.

Still having headaches despite another trip to GP. Am starting to worry now, it's been a few months now since they started. Going back again tomorrow... After I've collected DH's cake from Oli!

accessorizequeen · 30/11/2010 22:53

oh, castles, sorry did not congratulate you on job well done! too busy whinging about snow. Tis very pretty. Skies dark with it tonight.
Hullo Lenni, what's happening with headaches, did gp give you any ideas last time?
Milo, anyone?

accessorizequeen · 01/12/2010 09:35

School's closed! DS1 did a little dance. DP can't get to work, most of his staff not in anyway. University is closed, only found out when I was about to go out the door to (happily) leave him with all 4 for the day!

Indith · 01/12/2010 11:24

Hope you enjoy your day AQ :)

Absolutely mental here, I can't believe how thick it is and it has been coming down like mad all day. I had been hoping ot get into town today but no chance. I've not even seen our little rural bus which normally battles through anything and still runs on time.

REally struggling with my temper as dcs are killing each other most of the time from being cooped up. The next village is prob ok as a bit busier so snow more compact but here is just isn't getting walked on so too deep for sledge, way past dc's wellies plus ds' wellies have completely given up the ghost and can't get anywhere to buy new ones :(

accessorizequeen · 01/12/2010 12:04

Sounds really cr*p, indith, I hate being cooped up and am planning an escape to Post office this afternoon. DP tried to get to work but I am hiding his car keys. I have a spare pair of size 9 wellies, would they fit ds, could post them this arvo for you? Accidentally bought more of same size for ds3 durr and ds2 helpfully removed tags so I couldn't take them back.

Indith · 01/12/2010 13:11

Size 9! Ds is a 6.5 Grin Besides, doubt the postie will get here earlier than I can get to town! Thanks for the offer though :)

Dh just gone to walk to the shops for milk, dd is asleep so relative peace!

jabberwocky · 01/12/2010 13:51

I read this is the worst storm in the UK since 1993 Shock Hope everyone stays warm and safe - and kiddos behave themselves :)

ilovesprouts · 01/12/2010 16:27

my ds2 is four today !! Grin

Indith · 01/12/2010 19:24

Happy birthday to him :)
