HumphreysCorner · 03/09/2010 19:58

Hi all, back off our wet hols in the caravan. It was good though and now back to late nights of HR & PR work for DH. DD2 starts school on Wednesday which I am still crying about, thought the AD's would help this but maybe not. She was sick last night but OK today so had a day in the beach hut which we hired last minute.

Matthew is crawling and trying to pull up. Can't believe he is 11 months.

Sorry to hear of those scary moments. Am sure I will be able to keep up once school starts, will be distraught without DD2. Sad

Lots of love to all. There is a smell coming out of M's nappy so better go.

dizzytrout · 03/09/2010 22:19

Hi there :)

Things are great, my little girl is just fab - love her to bits!!

I've been back at work since May, which is a bit pants, I miss dd loads, apart from that though, everything's good.

Getting married in December too!!

xx

Igglybuff · 04/09/2010 13:19

Hi dizzy tell us a bit more about your little one :)

fidelma and HC I hope the new school term goes well for your kids! I can still remember my first day - I cried because my mum made me late and she forgot to bring my shoes so I had to wear my wellies all day as it had been raining and we had walked in...! Funny how that memory sticks.

Met up with HT and met her DH and Joe. We had a lovely afternoon - Joe was on top form wanting to crawl all over the table and throwing his water. He's a very cute chappy with gorgeous red hair. I was nervous meeting a mumsnetter but needn't had been! HT was very nice :)

We're on our way home now - William had a great time - splashing in streams, paddling barefoot in coniston water and checking out the plants and trees. I think he'll be an outdoors type! Hopefully the journey home won't be the 9 hour marathon it was coming up Shock

Hello everyone, just marking place while I catch up with thread/delay my mountain of washing.

V briefly:
Iggly Hope your journey home is good and shorter than the journey up. It was so lovely meeting you, William and your dh.

dizzytrout Welcomme back - I think I remember you. Were you having lots of redecorating done close to your due date and is your dd Emily?

Back with personals later, I can't relax until I've fully upacked!. Love to all

dizzytrout · 06/09/2010 10:45

Hi HappyTangerine and Iggly :)

That's right! I was having a loft conversion done, we ended up buying another house though, something a little more child friendly with a garden (cue another 2 months of gutting and decorating haha) Anyway, we're all moved and settled now, thank goodness.

Emily is such a happy and bubbly little thing, she's extremely inquisitive and she makes me laugh, absolutely love her to bits.

She had a rough time when we moved, as she'd had gastroenteritis, then she was quite unsettled with teething, but she seems to be settling more now.

How are all of you and your little ones?

Scout19075 · 06/09/2010 21:52

We have a tooth!!! FINALLY!!! Grin

Off to unload the car and start the mountain of washing and unpacking and list making to settle back into life. Be back later!

littlepea72 · 07/09/2010 06:50

Well done Seb!!! Grin

Hi dizzytrout

Faith has started coming out with different words now! With my DH living away, we alway say to her daddys away, so yesterday it was a bit of a shock to hear her say "away dada" & then about 2 minutes later "oh boy" Grin She also shouts "No" to people lol.
She also slept the whole night!!! I gave her ready brek & a bottle of formula last night before bed, didnt hear her until 6am.....thank goodness!

Better get myself ready before the school run starts, it never ends Grin

HappyTangerine · 07/09/2010 09:36

Right, finally have five minutes to myself. Had a brilliant time in the Lakes, it was so wonderful to be back in the mountains. Very different to our usual holidays in the Lake District but a lot of fun. Have uploaded a top on photos to fb for my mum. Joseph met lots of different animals and also lots of children and was very sociable. He also started sleeping through the night, in bed on his own!!! Dh and I finally got some time to ourselves.

I can now say I have met a mumsnetterGrin I was incredibly nervous and babbly but Iggly was lovely. William has beautiful big eyes and a gorgeous mop of curly hair that Joseph was fascinated by. He was very cute, pointing at things. They were very sweet exploring on the picnic table together, I felt a bit guilty afterwards that maybe they'd have been happier in soft play. Sorry about the impromtu shower with the drinking cup Iggly, Joe will look all innocent, takr a few sips then all hell breaks losose, little monkey.

Dh now back at work and we're missing him terribly-he doesn't come in until 10pm so I'm back to doing the nights on my own. Joseph is crawling at speed, says no, oh dear, cow, eta (have't a clue what eta means) and he sings along to twinkle twinkle little star, all the ahh bits. So cute. We were in Tesco yesterday and a woman dropped a loaf of bread on her foot. Joseph said "oh dear!" then cackled really loudly. Woman gave me a dirty look, I was doubled up with laughter.

Someone at the door, bye for now

HappyTangerine · 07/09/2010 10:02

Scout Welcome back, Yay Sebby for the tooth! You'll probably get the second in a few days now and there'll be no stopping him!

HC Good luck for your dd for school tomorrow

fidelma How is ds settling in at school? I bet Connor is loving having you to himself now. Good luck with the return to teaching this week. I want those scales that were used for your medical insurance, I'd love to be 9 stone again![wistful sigh]

PrincessMel Yay for the modelling jobs! So sorry about the blue fit, that must have been so scary for you. Glad all is well now.

littlepea Well done Faith for the new words and esp sleeping through the night! Long may it continue. Your post about the photos made me laugh, I feel exactly the same way but the way you put it was so funny. Have resolved to lose weight, I feel a bit sick whrn I look at pics of myhself on fb. As for the beaker-hmm, see above! Joseph will drink a few sips then mess about [hmmm] but goes into a complete strop if you try and take it off him. I am mistress of the art of distraction these days.

dizzytrout You have been busy! Sorry about the gastroenteritis, glad Emily is ok now. How are you coming along with your wedding plans? Smile

twinklegreen Hooray for first tooth! Saw your pics on fb of the house, you must be so excited. Hope your dd has settled in at school.

Calypso Big wave, Annalise's party sounds like its going to be fun!

ruby Hi! Glad all is working out with the nanny. Hope you get some time to yourself soon, it's hard ding the nights on your own isn't it?

Iggly Big wave, how are things? Saw the holiday pics on fb, William looks like he had a lot of fun!

Waves and love to all, hope I've not missed anyone out. Joseph is a little livewire now and into climbing everything so not sure how much time I'll have to come on, he's wearing me out!

princessProudmel · 07/09/2010 10:21

Hello everyone :)

ht yay about J sleeping so well! F is waking about twice a night at the mo. Cannot see that ending anytime soon. It's ok though. This is what happens with all my babies. I am not in a 'how can I stop this?' frame of mind. I just go with the flo.

words F isn't saying anything yet. apart from dadda but he says that when dadda is there or not! He's making different sounds but no words. :)

hello trout :)

scout woohoo for the tooth! F still has just 2 on the bottom.

modelling F is doing really well! He has a casting for Clarks this week. that would be good if he got it as it would be easy for you all to see the pics!! That would be his 5th job, since June! :)

hungary poland Don't suppose any of you know anybody who lives in either if these countrys?? F's Christmas Tesco jobs will be instore in those countrys! I need someone to go in a take a photo for me and email it to me...long shot Grin Grin

F is really enjoying crawling around the house and playing with diff toys. He likes his baby walker, bricks if you make them into a tower, his shape sorter. And a toy that has teddys that pop up when you press the buttons.
He also loves crawling around the garden. He trys to climb up the slide and goes in the dc's playhouse and peeps through the windows! He also loves climbing into the folded up pram wheels and sitting in the middle of it GrinOh and the swing.
I bought him an all in one waterproof outfit for his outside adventures. dd had one and we used it loads.

Hope you're all ok :)

littlepea72 · 07/09/2010 13:05

Im Angry Angry 2 weeks now ive been trying to phone the child's tax credit, cant get anyone, just "we are busy....bye"! Anyone any tips????

littlepea72 · 07/09/2010 19:36

Iggly meant to ask, was having a wee look at William in your photos, who took them? They are great, really professional looking. Cant believe he is walking! He is sooooo cute!

CalypsoFramboise · 07/09/2010 21:29

Hi all,

Iggly & HT Your holiday meetup sounded fun and the lakes are so wonderful, must have been fab to take the LO out there. Welcome back though!

PM Bravo on all the work Joe is getting, its really fun having a mini-celebrity friend :D

scout yay for the tooth! They really look so cute with their tiny milk teeth :)

words I can't believe how much all of yours are talking! Annalise doesn't say ANYTHING! I know she understands a lot though so I'm just hoping that it might be because she's bilingual - is anyone else teaching their child a language other than English? She doesn't even say Mama!

sleeping through Gah, for about 10 days now Annalise is up and crying about 4-5 times a night because she's on her hands and knees, standing or sitting up. Finding dealing with this and going to work quite tough, I hope she learns to lie herself back down soon, or stop wanting to clamber about at night.

Littlepea Don't talk to me about the CTC, its completely CRAP and have given up! Everytime I call (and we call a LOT) we get a different response, and basically because I'm studying for a PhD we don't qualify for the childcare element of the WTC and nor for the Childcare Grant for full-time student parents; I fall between them both, very annoying. You can only try try and cry try again. Good luck!!

Having the garden landscaped this week, Annalise is completely boggled by the muddy mess that is the interim outdoor space, can't wait for it to be finished, must go look at your house pictures twinklegreen

Big kiss to all X

princessProudmel · 07/09/2010 21:49

Hi all :)

While the thread is a bit more active can I ask who is the admin for the FB group????

Please can we make it a private group? It shows on my news feed (and my friends news feed) when I post on there. Or put pictures up. Then if they wanted to they could go on MN and look up Oct 09 thread, and work out which one is me and then could effectivly read all my MN posts..... Don't think they would but you just never know.

Thank you :)

CalypsoFramboise · 08/09/2010 12:40

PM sorry - I know your little boy is called Freddie and not Joe! Blush

I think that twinklegreen is FB admin?

princessProudmel · 08/09/2010 13:57

Hi CF! I knew you knew iykwim! LOL

:)

I hope she sees this. Could you ask her on fb??

Igglybuff · 09/09/2010 20:05

Hi everyone!

HT I didn't mind the water throwing - it was funny! I love the Tesco story. Joe is brilliant! Grin

littlepea I take most of the pictures, occasionally DH. We've got a fancy camera so it's easy to get good ones! On CTC, you just have to keep ringing I'm afraid. The call centres are understaffed though so can you try at a time when less people are likely to or phone up the "wrong" number and ask to be transferred?

calypso sorry to hear about A's nights. Can you get her to practise loads in the day so she gets the hang of it quickly? And as for talking, W only babbles but no actual words. Just Da (I think he might mean "that" as he says Da then points at what he wants!)

princess, sorry can't help you out there - don't know anyone in poland/hungary! Could you ask Tesco to get you a copy?

William is walking around loads now although keeps falling over. And getting his fingers trapped in things. He can also reach door handles but not able to open them yet (phew). He also seems to have shot up a bit height wise so have to buy him some new pyjamas as his sleepsuits are too small now and his feet are getting squished!
