We filled up a thread without even noticing!

Primary school outcome for dd today . They say that the emails will be sent out by 6pm (though may take longer to get through to us).

Star - It sounds horrendous. Your poor DH. Definitely check all that stuff I mentioned.

I wonder whether she's actually trying to fail him or whether she's just trying to make his life really unpleasant and difficult (not that that's OK). I think that if he was in danger of failing, they should have given him some sort of notice of that by now and, like I mentioned, notified the LA so that they can send someone in. Also, he really, really must talk to his union, so that they can advise him. I hope he gets it sorted.

50ft - I glanced at your post and thought it said "internal" problems. Glad it's just the internet playing you up.

Myjob - how are you feeling now? And how is your ds Ekka?

I'm excited - have booked theatre tickets for dp's birthday and arranged a babysitter (my sister) so we're going out together to see a play and go for dinner for the first time since his last birthday trip out!

BTW Very amused at the thought of Star as a birthing partner!

Hi. Am back, alive but very sore from the hernia op. Can't lean forward to type much but the nasty colonoscopy was all clear which is ahuge relief for all of us. General anaesthetic bloody marvellous, couldn't tell you a thing about any of it.
back soon, hope all oK, may not be able to help much with the birthing bit CSWS - will be right behind star though, with the hot water and towels....

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/06/2010 19:48

"How do you get your kids to keep hair clips/ bobbles in their hair" - you wait until they turn at least 4 before you bother trying .

Glad that you got the all clear from the colonoscopy pepper. Does that leave you back not having a clue what is wrong though?

Oh pistachio - i have bad news. Was trying to arrange joint Christening for my youngest 2 at beginning of Sept, but the only Sept date that the vicar can do is 19th, so I think I'm going to have to go with that, which means it's prob quite unlikely that I'll be able to get out to meet you for dinner that night. Is that the only night that you're down for?

OP posts:
pepperrabbit · 11/06/2010 20:21

am very . DD doesn't have enough hair yet to qualify for a bobble!

lol I thought you were congested with your "abboying" typo. I actually thought it was purposeful until I read that you were all better. It does read like a congested version of annoying. How funny!

Glad the op went well, pepper.

The LA NCT lady is coming to observe dh in a couple of weeks just before his final obs, coconutfeet. He's having a few different people look over his pdp file before he submits it as well. Looks like she's taken all necessary precautions. He'll have ofsted in during his final observation so at least another person in the room.

Pepper - I will be behind you, not you behind me, in the birthing room. Or, we can both be behind the door and throw the towels in then run away back to her gorgeous dc

Honeymoonmummy · 11/06/2010 23:22

I would just leave it but her hair falls forward from really far back so I can't keep cutting her fringe and it's getting very close to her eyes and is so silky that it won't be combed to the side. Am just going to have to perservere, hopefully in a few weeks it'll be long enough to comb to one side.

Right. What about if we have a trip one weekend to Horton Farm Park? The campers amongst us can stay on a campsite, the non-campers can meet us at Horton Farm Park then go back to the nearest Travelodge?? Which weekends can everyone do/ not do in July/ Aug?

Honeymoonmummy · 11/06/2010 23:28

Not Horton Farm Park... Hatton Farm Park - we've been talking about 2 different ones Star!

Honeymoonmummy · 11/06/2010 23:33

Brilliant

Anyone free the last weekend of July? 30, 31 and 1 Aug? I'm going to do this irrespective of whether anyone else comes along TBH!!!

StarExpat · 12/06/2010 06:40

NQT not NCT in last post.

lol.

Not sure about hatton park hmm. If we can manage to get Q's visa we may be in america during that time.

Q was burning hot last night and shaking/shivering through the night. awake a lot crying. very very shallow breaths at first but a puff of the ventolin allowed him to take deeper breaths and he slept a bit after that. Poor baby He won't take medicine and he's still quite hot. I can't get his temp either. He's a bit shaky when he lifts things ?
ugh. This came out of the blue. Ate no dinner then all of a sudden he had a fever and was acting unwell (head down, wanting to just sit and be held, panting breaths)

He seems better now. He's a little warm but I got half a dose of calpol in him, too. DH is currently putting him down for a nap... sounds more like playtime to me... He hasn't been himself today but at least he's not shaking or shivering anymore. And breathing is under control. I know he has asthma.

myjob - how sweet that your little ds is already in a football club!

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/06/2010 22:08

Well if there's any way that I can still get out pistachio then I will, but I might not know for sure until the day. Hope that's ok.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Just a quick pre-bed catch up from me, so night all!

Sorry, I just seem to be shattered in the evening and spend less time on the internet and have actually spoke more to DH!!!

Phoebe is doing really well, she is crazy funny! Loves singing and dancing. She did not want to share her toys with Lydia yesterday and lay over them and said "da da (her abbrv for Lydia) Room' pointing towards Lydias room....i explained to Lydia she gets it from her!

Hows the pregnancy CSWS? HOw long left now?
