poppysocks · 30/04/2010 21:10

Thank you dizzy. I would love to escape in your direction, but suspect all hands will need to be on deck. Planning the beach tomorrow and Cairnie on Sunday so hoping the weather stays dry and they can tire themselves out with minimum effort from us . BiL doing really well thanks sazzles.

at the Chinese takeaway oops. Can't complain too much though as it was baked camembert here but YUM.

dizzydixies · 30/04/2010 21:12

fingers crossed for decent weather then Poppy, I shall return to work for all your sake as the minute I stepped out of my windowless hellhole room it started hailing after being a glorious day all day

we're heading to cairnie on Mon hopefully so don't be wearing out the trampoline

hotterpotter · 30/04/2010 21:39

Have just been looking back to the threads from this time last year and it turns out that it's one year and two days since my very first driving lesson

Poppy you said "Like VG, friends of mine who started late are the ones who absolutely love it now (driving). Same for you I hope " well you were absolutely right I fecking LOVE it

Anyway the reason I was looking was becaise of Dizzy's tiny reference to her birthday, well if anyone is interested it's on Tuesday

dizzydixies · 30/04/2010 21:45

oooh check you out hotterMarple with your detective skills - am pretty sure you should just have asked TS, she's probably got them all stored away somewhere

hotterpotter · 30/04/2010 21:48

How old are you this time wee lassie?

dizzydixies · 30/04/2010 21:49

27

hotterpotter · 30/04/2010 21:52

well if you're 27 I must be mid-thirties... OK then!

dizzydixies · 30/04/2010 21:53

right-o!

hotterpotter · 30/04/2010 21:57

I thought you were off to bed

You are welcome to stay if you want though, I can wave some virtual pinot grigio in your direction (tis very yummy)

dizzydixies · 30/04/2010 21:58

got distracted by Greys Anatomy and the giddy heights that i don't have to set my alarm for 5.30am tomorrow!

check me out, its 10pm - rock n roll

hotterpotter · 30/04/2010 22:00

You dirty stop-up

We are watching Russell Howard recorded from the other day, it's pretty funny.Just finished with Charlie Brooker who I heart but his hair is currently shite and he is too happy

dizzydixies · 30/04/2010 22:02

ah crap, now the news is on which will no doubt depress me - shameless I know however I do tend to feel I get a bit of a free pass after a horribly hectic shift?!?!

hotterpotter · 30/04/2010 22:07

Oh god no, I never watch the news if I can help it, especially at the moment. Remembering the last tory government and working in the public sector has me rather jittery for what my future holds . Oh feck it we might not get to move but the mortgage is paid so come on David twatcameron do your worst

dizzydixies · 30/04/2010 22:11

right ladies, time for me to lump myself up to bed, DH on till 2am so I'm on early shift with the girls to let him sleep as he's on till 4am tomorrow morning - feck knows when he is planning to do the essay that is due on MONDAY but hey - am not his mother!

shall leave you to your wine and see you in the morning

hotterpotter · 30/04/2010 22:12

you ok TS?

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/05/2010 07:38

Morning

Do you like my lie in???? DH kindly left me to sleep in our bed alone and he slept in the spare room - it was BLISS so I when DD woke at 6 I thought I would leave him to sleep and have my lie in tomorrow when we don't have to be anywhere by 10.30.

We have friends over for lunch and hte BBQ we had planned is not going to happen - any suggestions?

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 07:54

same here oops, DH not home till 2.30 and for once I heard him come in, D started shouting at 4am which of course woke up my bladder and I slept on and off until 7am. Kids are of course running about demanding to know what we're doing today what ever happened to being amused by Sat morning cartoons? that used to be a treat for us when we were wee and we always looked forward to it - mine on the other hand would rather be anywhere than in the house

E supposed to have a nature hunt party this afternoon but seeing as its raining its doubtful (much like your BBQ) and L won't be happy that she's not getting to go either!! D feeding the dog one cheerio at a time and has just sneezed and wiped her nose on the nearest book [bleurgh]

all this and its not even 8am!!!

TS hope your wasn't as a result of my comment re your organised stats - twas meant as a compliment, I'm always slightly in awe of how organised you are

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 08:07

only £6.90 on the yoyo millions so can't treat you all just yet and considering I went a bit mad and spent £8 on tickets it was hardly a successful venture - was a tad seduced by the promise of £51M

hotterpotter · 01/05/2010 08:49

It's beautiful here, although rain is forecast for later. We have eaten our breakfast outside and now the deck is covered in soggy shreddies but better there than on the carpet I suppose.

Bad luck on the euromillions Dizz I didn't realise it was such a big jackpot o I would have been wasting money alongside you Who wants to have to work for a living????????

Oops couldn't you still have a bbq inside? I was cooking a butterflied leg of lamb for DH's birthday once but it was pissing down so I left it to cook under the patio umbrella then we ate it in the dining room with the doors wide open onto the rainy garden, was lovely

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/05/2010 08:52

HP - I think you may be forgettingthe presence of a small girl who will be out any open doors into the mud in a flash! HAve decided to make spanish chicken with chorizo and butterbeans with brownies and ice cream to finish.

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 09:26

D running about in wellies and no nappy - better get that sorted pdq
