Sazz, save your pennies, its only £4.5M and I'd have to add a fiver to that to pay off the debts!!!!

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/05/2010 11:29

In the words of the world famous Dizzy- Ah Feck it, out guests have just rung to say they are not coming to lunch as they have the lurgy could they not have rung sooner?? Before I ran about town searching for bone in chicken breasts and making 2 types of bread! Dh is looking forward to it for dinner tonight now. Crisp sarnies for lunch Sazz It is a Deila recipe and is very yummy especially if you use the picante chorizo. here

DD now sleeping on the sofa, sun can't decided if it will shine or not so have made plans to go for an enchanted woods walk just ot make it rain!

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 11:37

sorry folks the was just me leaving bread crumbs where i got to readingwise last night. very sore from the tiny bit i did in the pilates workshop last night. girls up at the butt crack of dawn. i crawled out of bed only to cancel my level 2 class this morning. i've reschedule for tomorrow in a level 1 class. my back and abs need 24 hours to recover. ouch.

i am however very hungry and would be happy to pop over to Oops for any foods she might have cooked up for the guests that flaked out.

i fully appreciate i'm in an atrocious mood anyway today (dh's fault ) but i really wish the kids next door would let me play in the garden with DS without giving us a fucking running commentary about what we're doing. 'ooh he's just kicked the ball' 'ooh i can't see him now' 'oh look there he is'
The original plan was to have a picnic out there but they kept shouting things over the fence at him so completely distracted him from eating anything. FFS
Not quite sure what i can do about it. i know they're just trying to be friendly and the 8yrold girl loves playing with DS but seriously, she's winding me up by standing on their table so she can see over the fence every time we go out there
we're back inside now so i calm down before taking DS to the park to play football in peace

MrsMiamla · 01/05/2010 13:54

I also appreciate that there are far worse things happening in the world and that i need to chill about it but really, apart from buying a high powered water canon or growing a 10ft high plant, what can i do??

cyteen · 01/05/2010 14:50

If you're on good speaking terms with their parents, maybe you could have a friendly word about privacy/boundaries? If they're told as many times as necessary that it's polite to ask first before joining in with the neighbours, it might start to sink in.

Been up to the allotment this morning for some more weeds out/seeds in business (and yet more rhubarb...what to do with it this time?) DS is out of sorts today though, uncharacteristically grumpy and sparkle-free, not sure what's going on there.

MrsMiamla · 01/05/2010 14:53

hi cyteen, hmm, you're right.think i'd better wait until i'm alot calmer though!

well done on the allotmenting. sorry to hear DS not right, could it be more teeth?

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/05/2010 17:40

Cyteen - I make rhubarb and ginger jam which is surprisingly easy and also makes great presents.

Miamla - I think if ignoring isn't work then a word with the parents is the only logical next step. I remember you saying she was over for ages a few weeks ago maybe she feels she is getting more attention at yours and so is hoping by yelling over the fence she will get an invite over? Children of that age have absolutley no idea of social etiquette and will more than likely need telling that it is not acceptable and will even then question why it's not acceptable.

I have napped - DH and DD went out for babychino and visit to grandma.

MrsMiamla · 01/05/2010 18:10

yup, it was last Saturday, she was here for three hours! Trouble is even if I ignore her, DS doesn't! Right, I will indeed have a chat with her parents

oops your jam sounds lovely! how would one get to be added to the present list?

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 19:29

am sooooooooooooooo bored with ebay listings, snore - still my Sat night is hardly rock n roll otherwise

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/05/2010 20:00

Dizzy - I think you need to see someone about your shoe problem!!!! Unfortunately my feet are tooooo little

DH eating delicious (even if I say so myself) chickeny dish with bread. I on the otherhand am enjoying a large packet of Gaviscon just because I had the cheek to taste it! Dh making suggestions of what might help, the answer is 'Not Bloody Likely!'

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 20:40

lol, are you stalking me on ebay Oops - could you at least hit watch so people panic and bid on them?!!??

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 20:42

aarrgghhhh and now it won't let me upload photos - this is getting more tedious by the minute

Oops - have you no emergency magnums in?

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/05/2010 20:44

No emergency magnums they were out of stock at Morrisons. I have Zantac though!

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 20:46

good grief, cannot DH not drive and get you some?!!?!

am watching the lotto - come on Sazz's numbers!!! but can someone please tell me what Dale Winton has done to his eyes???

cyteen · 01/05/2010 20:50

Allotmenting, 30 Day Shredding at lunchtime and afternoon trip to the park

uncharacteristically pissed-off toddler paying a bells-and-whistles visit to tantrum town

  • short nap and late bedtime

=

guhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

and the freeview remote no longer works because DS interfaced it with a glass of water while I was cooking tea.

Early night, anyone?

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/05/2010 20:55

I am heading for a long hot bath and my book - DH watching Pacific which he Sky+'d and then he has a whole heap of freaky psyco-thrillers to watch.

Sleep well all.

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 21:00

night Oops

Cyteen am about to give up on the old ebay task for tonight before I throw the laptop out the sodding window - not like J, hope he's not cooking something poorly like - wee pudding

dizzydixies · 01/05/2010 21:24

oh. come. on.

are you all out having a proper existence on a Sat night without me

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/05/2010 21:30

Dizz -I'm here (again) Bath was cold so have made old fashioned cocoa and am going to read my book when I am done - cocoa in bed is asking for me to spill it everywhere!
