This was the only thing I could remember some saying should be the next title!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Rubena · 03/03/2010 14:22

oh and milk drinking - ds is on cows and has maybe 100 mls with his breakfast from a cup (but very supervised) and then about a pint or 600mls of milk during the day from this Nuby which has a soft spout. Don't know if that's bad or not? If I give him a hard spouted free flowing one to lay down and have his milk with he just shakes it all over the couch / floor etc but this one doesn't leak much

Lady - Switzerland trip sounds fun [green]

Rubena · 03/03/2010 14:23

lol I typed green instead of envy!! I'm killin myself here! One night of teething and I haven't caught up - i'm all over the place!!

Veggiemummy · 03/03/2010 15:31

Lol at the green Rubs.

Effie my brother has the same condition, but get high & low. During a recent episode he has manage to lose all his ID's he needs to get a new birth certificate so he can get them all replaced but to be issued with a new birth certificate you need 3 forms of ID! Mums going to have to get it for him

You pregnant birds are very entertaining

Gotta go DS2 is chucking one

Rubena · 03/03/2010 15:46

Veggie I just read your post really fast and actually thought you were saying I had a condition which is the same as your brothers by mixing up the colour / word thing... Strewth, I've gotta get out for a walk now

Beans33 · 03/03/2010 15:57

Preggys - anyone else got wind? Maybe it's because I had a load of wine gums, but I am hanging on like made as am at work. Bring on tonight for relaxation!!!!

TMI? Hee hee!

Veggiemummy · 03/03/2010 16:09

I have wind, hang on you weren't asking me were you.

Lol rubs!

Beans33 · 03/03/2010 16:11

Oh good! Doesn't matter whether preggy or not - good to hear about fellow sufferers. I am like a whoopee cushion! Nasty.

Rubena · 03/03/2010 16:36

I have, but have been eating loads more fruit than normal. I never eat much fruit, but when I'm pregnant, I can't get enough. Very of your chinese Beans. I'm having sweet chilli chicken salad. Well I can't decide between that or chicken stir fry. Hmm hot or cold?

daisydora · 03/03/2010 16:47

Bloody hell rubs and beans you two are sooo funny You should start a double act and go on tour! Veggie we know is windy after the yoga incident

Kayz glad to hear you and DH are working it out. Its so good as you both love each other and have those beautiful boys to think of.

Katie your SATC outfit sounds great - I do love the show tbh. But I am with rubs on heels I love them. I have to many ridiculously hard to wear pairs. But new shoes never fail to cheer me up. And I'm 5 8, so not tiny either....anyway I'm rambling.

All this food talk is making me really hungry and my cupboards are empty

Beans33 · 03/03/2010 16:56

Oh Kayz - I had a huge long post on your news about you and DH, but lost it. Suffice to stay, I'm so glad you feel strongly enough to want him to stay. You clearly do still need to talk things through, but your boys will be so happy that you are together and I think the basis you have to start on is clearly very strong. If you do decide to forgive him, then you must stick to that and try not to bring up the texting again. I am sure you will be strong enough to do that. I'm so pleased that you feel this way about your marriage and am happy for you. Please do continue to post on here about things when you need to. We're all rooting for what's best for you and your boys. xxxx

Rubes - go for the hot version. Good for the soul.

Hey, crow wings also v good for wafting hot armpits around. I am enjoying the feeling very much. However, not sure guy on next desk is enjoying my puffs or armpit air at him - haha!!! Will continue to do it nonetheless. Just hoping they're not toooooo smelly. HAHAHAHA!

Beans33 · 03/03/2010 16:56

PS At least I shaved my pits this morning - less chance of the smell sticking to the hairs - hee hee!

Rubena · 03/03/2010 17:18

Oh I know Beans - I wore that top two days in a row as it was so comfy! Now I'm wondering if it's in any other colours I didn't see any, but you know H&M, crap all over the place! I was only in the Reading one also which isn't huge.
Daisy i'm 5'9 and always wear heels. in fact I hardly own many pairs of flats, but I have so many heels - some that are so uncomfortable too but I suffer in them anyway
If I go for the hot option I would be tempted by rice, and that would be carbs at night which is bad as I've had enough carbs in the day to last me until Christmas. I will ask dh what he wants. he has travelled 90 miles today on the pushy commuting around! I pushed the buggy about 200 yeards to the shop just now and was knackered however I was the one up with the teething nappy soiled baby and i'm the preggo one

Beans33 · 03/03/2010 17:21

I think they do it in navy as well. I'm thinking about getting another one in black as well. Love it!

Rubena · 03/03/2010 17:24

I hear ya Beans on the armpits. I decided to deferalize a little today since I will have to look half decent for work towards the end of the week, and shaved the sherwood as well (upper and lower forests)
I'm pumped American Idol tonight. i have no shame
Anyone watch one Born every minute? I don't know if peeking through my fingers at the epidural was a good thing or not for me. I decided I was "up to the task" so peeked at it for a brief second while dh was kind enough to pause it for me but i'm not sure if I should have as I only caught a glimpse and I think I thought it was bigger than it actually is. Then dh explained the whole reason that some people have bad experiences with having an epidural or spinal but why on the whole it shouldn't hurt, and I know I have had one before and didn't really feel it, i have convinced myself that I just got lucky with an extaoridary anesthetist or something, which dh said wasn't necessarily the case I do obsess about things!

katie3677 · 03/03/2010 17:27

Really? Heels at nearly 6 foot? Don't you think I'd look a bit daft? Maybe I should get some to practice in as the real problem is that I just can't walk in them so have never bothered. I'm a comfort, rather than fashion, dresser me!

Rubena · 03/03/2010 17:36

Yes definitely Katie!

beans - I'm going to get the navy if I can find one! Prob is I rarely get to an H&M. Must make the effort.

daisydora · 03/03/2010 17:52

Rubs I've had two spinals, and never felt a thing either time. Plus second time around the anesthetist was about 12 and I was very scared, I was convinced he was too young to be qualified. Like they would just let some random bloke in off the street though

Katie, if you can get the hang of heels go for it!

Rubena · 03/03/2010 18:05

Daisy, yeah dh says the reason for some of the misconception about spinals being a nightmare are down to a couple of rare reasons. One was something to do with some (very few) people have some weird thing going on with their nerves (well that's not how he put it but he's not here and I can't remember what he exactly said) but it is to do with hitting a nerve or something, and the other can be if the patient is really fat, as then the local that they give you first doesn't go down far enough purely because the needle won't reach - charming - therefore the local isn't deep enough etc so they can feel the spinal (big arsed) needle with the tube. Eek getting woozy.... Wow if I had some Dougie Houser type 12yo looking doc show up I think I'd def either pass out or run a mile!

I'm over this teething malarky... ds is fine with breaky and lunch, and loves a biscuit at anytime or a rice cake, but as soon as it's dinner time when his teeth are bothering him, he will only have either toast or yogurt guess both are soothing...

Veggiemummy · 03/03/2010 18:37

Oh farting in yoga, haven't done that since thank goodness. But last night we were doing that boat pose one and when we lifted into the pose someone let rip
a foghorn! Amazing no one so much as snickered. In my London class we'd have been in stitches. They are very humourless here I have to say.

Lady I'm still up for a Parisian spring/summer meet up. Should we maybe start looking into it?

We get our new car in mid April and are thinking of driving up to visit some friends in Sweden, I'm quite excited we have seen them since I was pregnant with DS1 & their DD1 was 3 months old so it will be great to see them and for our kids to meet. The car is going to be great it a top range touran (clearly we are not paying for it) and we ticked yes for all the accessories! We even have park assist! I think it is taking so long to get to us because we order so many of the extras.

Right DS2 is asleep I'd better finish off the packing.

katie3677 · 03/03/2010 18:43

Rubs my first epiduaral was fine, didn't feel a thing and no after effects. 2nd time (with elective cs) wasn't so good. They hit a nerve so my legs kept doing very strange things, ie. knee-jerk nerve reaction. That combined with me screaming because I could feel the needle in my spine all resulted in DH fainting, BEFORE the delivery! Not that I'm trying to put you off or anything. It was actually all quite funny .
I was smugly thinking to myself the other day that I have been very lucky with DD not really having any illnesses so far, unlike someof your poor babes, and guess what? Tonight she wouldn't eat, very floppy and sleepy and high temperature. I have put her to bed in the hope that it is just a 24 hour thing, poor love.
I'm going to head off to New Look tomorrow to try to find some sky high heels in order to practice walking in. At least that way I won't have spent too much if they end up in the back of the cupboard for ever.

katie3677 · 03/03/2010 18:48

Oh, and milk. I moved DD onto CM just after she turned 1, but she now hardly drinks any at all. I try to give her some before bedtime but she is just not interested. I'm slightly worried that she's not getting enough calcium so try to shovel yoghurt, cheese etc down her at meal times. She drinks water and diluted apple juice (it helps with the constipation) throughout the day out of a Tommee Tippee spout cup, the only type she could ever get the hang of. She does now also drink through a straw which is much easier when we are out and I have forgotten to take her cup

Beans33 · 03/03/2010 19:16

Oh gosh, DD has again been sick after dinner with the nanny - twice. Loads of it apparently. But, by the time I got home from work (which I did by racing in an expensive cab - grrr) she was fine. Really perky and crawling around having a ball. She had a lovely bath and proceeded to drink 10oz of CM and gone to bed smiling and laughing. What's going on??! Felt I had to tell Beryl and Colin (nanny share family names changed again!) this time and they were ok - think they had to be after DH's wonderful outburst!!! No temperature and Whizz on corking form. Hope all ok tomorrow as need to be at work really.

Talk of epidural makes me feel a bit queasy. Bleugh. I desperately wanted one with DD, but by the time I got to hospital, I was 9cm dilated and it would have just slowed things down, so I went for it with gas and air! Extraordinary. So unlike me as I'm a total wetty with pain - and it did sting some!!!

Chinese take away winging its way towards me - lawks I am flapping my wings like mad in excitement. Those are my new tops' wings, not my bingo wings, which are mercifully hidden. Sure those too are flapping!!! It's going to take 40 minutes - sob!

Beans33 · 03/03/2010 19:17

PS Rubes - American Idol not sad - I watched Vampire Diaries last night - my new telly love. Now that is sad!!!

daisydora · 03/03/2010 19:34

Beans you are so funny!

DS has just had his hair cut. Bless he looks like such a proper little boy now. He has had it cut before, but it looks lot shorter this time...still less of it to get weetabix stuck in.

Oh and rubs DS is teething badly at the mo, if it wasn't for greek yoghurt he would have starved by now! Its the only thing he eats without creating a fuss.

Beans33 · 03/03/2010 19:37

Oh gorgeous, Daisy. So sweet to have a little haircut. I need to trim Whizzy's fringe, but it's so sweet, just above her eyes, I can't bear to!

Daisy - how is your DH doing now? xx
