LOL! Just saw your new pic. Can't tell which DC look more like you there. I leaning towards E.

TwilightSurfer · 16/01/2010 18:46

btw my lol was that i'd only just noticed your picture then popped over here and you'd mentioned the picture...all basically at the same time.

Okay Important Thing #2 & #3 COMPLETE! #2 was to check my mortgage interest I reported on my taxes I just filed. I reported correctly. [wheew] #3 was to add a quart of oil to my Tahoe. I have to use a ladder to do it. Very funny.

Reese is a whiny fussy child today. I'm not sure what the deal is but OMG!!!

oopsandbabycoconut · 16/01/2010 19:29

Evening ladies

Had a madly busy day at the cafe as the guys from Flog were about again resulting in masses of useless hanger-on-ers who took us space and spent nothing!

DD stayed with my mum and they had a fantastic day. DH in the bath, I have just played the crying pregnant woman on the phone to get the chinese to deliver (I phoned at 7.15 they stop delivery orders at 7pm on Saturday) So he is dropping my dinner around personally I just couldn't face cooking anymore today - I have made 55 bacon rolls 15 jacket potatoes endless cheese/ham/chicken rolls and about 200 cups of coffee and tea. Pooped!

Sazz was just on FB and you haven't changed and agree with TS that I think E looks most like you.

Going to catch up and back later.

cyteen thanks for link to your dp's page, wow about getting flown in to do a gig! here's a blast of my fave tune www.youtube.com/watch?v=n44ZXsJWI3s

gotta go, our homemade fish + chips are ready

cyteen · 16/01/2010 20:15

Heh, that is pretty stomping sambo. My favourite tune (Freely Freekin by Jamie Lidell) has been taken off Youtube at the moment, boo, otherwise I would have been happy to share.

Thinking of having a go on the M1 tomorrow and taking the DC to a stately home farm near Leeds. Hopefully it will be fairly quiet and will be good practice if we have our Nottingham meet up

TwilightSurfer · 16/01/2010 21:12

Okay here is the news story I found odd/funny. Does everyone know where their DH/DPs were cyber-wise during the snow storm???

hotterpotter · 16/01/2010 21:16

LOL TS! As DH and I can have a laptop each now who knows what he is up to... oh, that's right, looking at rubbish old punk records on eBay

Had a lovely time painting, as expected DS woke up after about 5 minutes then came downstairs and proceeded to paint his face as he chewed a paintbrush

TwilightSurfer · 16/01/2010 21:57

For all you musical junkies my friend just posted a pic on fb of her with DICK DALE.

TwilightSurfer · 16/01/2010 21:58

Sorry that was misleading but I don't know how to post the pic she posted.

GladioliBuckets · 16/01/2010 22:50

Holy crap I had no idea Dick Dale was still alive let alone doing that kind of thing. WCan't wait to show DH the link.

Have had 2 nice evenings with DH, haven't come up with any ideas about the future but enjoying each other's company and enjoying the now. I would LOVE to know what you think of Borat TS have you seen it? I think you'd actually love it. Also tonight we watched I Love You Man - how sweet?

My mum had her book launch party for Death Is The Cure today, was a nice big family & friends reunion. The hall is a day nursery in the week so we rigged up a kids' area and they were all so good. Wasn't til I got home that I realised I hadn't even considered how DS1 might react to a room full fo grown ups. Just shows how much he has come on since BIL's wedding 18m ago when I took them home in tears. He did go puke in the loo from overeating though. Oh and he can flippin read! The few days he's had back at school after Xmas seems to have really consolidated it for him, got the shock of my life yesterday when we went through his school reading book.

Squirt was good as gold being looked after by all his sibs and cousins, despite no nap at all. He was drawing on a white board with both hands and DD announced he was creating his first story.

TwilightSurfer · 16/01/2010 23:32

Buckets I've only seen trailers of Borat. We never have time to watch movies together that's not kid rated. For example: We watched UP last week. Sounds like a funny movie though.

GOOD NEWS!! My pilates instructor emailed back and said she'd been thinking a level 2 class needed to be added too. Then she asked me what times sounded good. YEEEE HAWWW!! Move'n on up the pilates latter!!!! Ladies I gotta tell ya my obliques are ROCK HARD now. And that baby belly thing around the cs scar.....NOT PRESENT ANY MORE. LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Pilates ROCKS!!!!!

dizzydixies · 17/01/2010 01:26

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

cyteen · 17/01/2010 08:28

Morning all, banana maple pancakes and lashings of hot tea available here

DP texted to say that his gig went brilliantly and everyone loved it - am so pleased! Even if I am also totally at missing out, I'm so happy for him because I know he'll be totally buzzing now

Meanwhile, I drank an entire bottle of Schloer (rock and roll ) and went to bed at 11pm, where I dreamed that I gave birth to twin girls and that I got propositioned by Simon Pegg. Not that I'd really mind either but both happening at once was a little hard to process

A good night's work Cyteen, you must be knackered.

cyteen · 17/01/2010 09:38

Knackered, but strangely fulfilled

I need to ask you a quick Q actually Buckets - can I make your muffin mix with plain flour and added baking powder, and if so how much do I add?

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 17/01/2010 09:53

lordy am tired. taking girls to gymnastics this morning and then off to friends for lunch/afternoon - will try to catch up with you all later but am not convinced after 4.5hrs sleep tonight is going to be the night

GladioliBuckets · 17/01/2010 09:53

Yep, I should add about a teaspoon? I usually just chuck a load in without measuring.

I'm off to see my mate in a Burlesque show this afternoon. DH & I had doublebooked so his folks are coming round to babysit. MIL has had D&V (as FIL insisted on telling everyone at party yesterday) and FIL a bit useless so not sure how this will go.

cyteen · 17/01/2010 11:17

Cheers me dear, got the first batch of mango and pineapple muffins in the oven right now. Friend has invited me and DS over for lunch - roast pork with all the trimmings followed by sticky toffee pud - what an angel! DS is obligingly having an early nap, hence bakeage.

Enjoy the burlesque. Will you be corseting up or just going in civvies?

OP posts:
GladioliBuckets · 17/01/2010 12:42

Civvies but did have a poke through my 'heirloom' suitcase of clothes from my late teens this morning and found the most AMAZING top I'd forgotten all about. Just right for burlesquing if I ever get round to taking it up. Tis a backless halterneck waistcoat - makes your boobs look huge and your waist tiny. Just need to lose a bit of back fat though.
