TwilightSurfer · 29/01/2010 22:52

HP Thanks for trying to make me see the bright side. I know there is one ...somewhere.

dizzydixies · 29/01/2010 22:53

evening all sorry to have been so absent but fecking shifts got in the way. am off till Tues so shall be here more

hotterpotter · 29/01/2010 23:01

TS he will be fine [smile}. I agree it's a bugger he isn't in the truck but just means he will take a little bit longer to get home. If the worst happens can you bundle the girls in the truck and go and get him?

TwilightSurfer · 29/01/2010 23:12

One Hour....10 blocks. HP he knows if he gets stuck he's going to have to fend for himself. I'm not taking the girls out in this. Not because I can't drive in it but because all the other crazy folk who shouldn't be trying to. We've got friends all along his travel route now so I'm not extremely worried.

hotterpotter · 29/01/2010 23:24

Here's a thought to take your mind off stuff TS, as the founder member of the HotMamas you really ought to be at the mooted gathering of the clan in Dublin or thereabouts go on you can do it

TwilightSurfer · 29/01/2010 23:27

Oh is Sazzles doing that bootcamp thing that VG mentioned a while back. I did a boot camp here at 5 months post-Reese. It's a good workout!

hotterpotter · 29/01/2010 23:30

She was originally planning a swimming weekend but her head has been turned by VG's talk of gin

TwilightSurfer · 29/01/2010 23:40

She does like PIMMS. LOL!!! I think that will be fun. But I'm not traveling there to bust my ass. MERCY! I'm beginning to think I wasn't built for extreme physicalness. Pilates is fine but Running, Swimming, Jogging, Hiking, and all other activities...they just don't suit my personality, my attention span OR my energy abilities.

hotterpotter · 29/01/2010 23:45

TS darling we are not asking you to swim or run across the Atlantic, just do that teeny thing of getting on a plane...

Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on

If you have never watched Father Ted you should give it a try

hotterpotter · 29/01/2010 23:48

My turn to get up in the morning so I'm heading off. Night night

TwilightSurfer · 30/01/2010 02:08

DH home.

dizzydixies · 30/01/2010 07:01

TS glad dh got home ok, mine got in at about 2.30am ish, I'm not sure but I remember saying hello

unfortunately Dylan was awake and shouting at 4.30am and then up at 6am I really REALLY need this to hurry up and pass. I don't mind going to bed early etc but now I'm back on shift its really rather tiring. for example, DH needs to sleep today before another late shift, tomorrow he is early shift, he'll need to sleep on Mon before his night shift and then I'm back on early shift (up at 5am) looks like I'm scheduled in for a decent sleep some time around 2012

now DD1 is up and she didn't go to bed until 9pn going to be a long long looonnnnggggg day - I've just sent her back to bed and told her not to waken DD2 enroute

right enough whinging, I fancy bacon, eggs and pancakes for brekker however not having any of those things in the house who will settle for a bowl of cheerios?!?

dizzydixies · 30/01/2010 07:02

Hots - do you watch Shameless (tv genius imo) however, Mrs Doyle makes a fabulous appearance this series

dizzydixies · 30/01/2010 07:25

at least my early rising has allowed me to ignoreDD3 catch up with you all, hysterical as usual

loving the boxed kids, interviewing children and property porn

in terms of hothousing here - I have to admit as a mother of 3 now it so doesn't happen Dylan is picking up certain words however the most used is mum, mum, mum, MUM, mum, mum, MUM and mostly in whingey tones. None of my other two have been this clingy/whingy and its getting V tiring she's currently standing throwing herself at me and pulling on my hair (counts to 10 and grits teeth)

we have however discovered the Ooglies on cbeebies - recommended by my illustrator friend who's animator friend made it or something (desperately trying to make herself sound more windswept and interesting)

poppy how are you and the girls? we'll need to meet up soon. Are you going somewhere nice with Ryanair?!?! You'll be fine, I managed with my 3 to Dublin last year so am sure they'll be great for you

LOTI - hope you've enjoyed the party or do so when it arrives, can't wait to see the photos

cyteen those dresses look fabulous, enjoy your dress shopping

miamla Happy Birthday darling, apologies for tardiness

oops loving the holiday updates

hello all else

dizzydixies · 30/01/2010 08:08

oh and not wishing to turn this into the Dizzy show but did I mention the nonsense we were having with a friend who owed us money? He finally paid it up on Sunday after I had to ask him for it back (although he was supposed to have paid it back last year and hadn't mentioned it) and on his way from ours to his work he wrote off his car and broke his ribs and yesterday his mother died suddenly - how shitty do I feel about it all

right, whole brood up now, DD2 has just sneezed and wiped it up her sleeve [bleurgh] - am considering waking up DH even though he's only had 5.5hrs sleep because I'm a touch worried one of them is about to be launched out the fecking velux windows

hotterpotter · 30/01/2010 09:09

Ouch Dizzy I agree that is too fecking early DD was awake at 6.20, yelling at 6.40 and 7 but managed ignore her and think she went back to sleep until DS woke up at 8.20. Consequently feeling a bit perkier than I otherwise would have been

As for your friend, at least he's had the three bad things happen now (sorry if that is not actually funny if he is your friend )

TS I am very pleased to hear that your DH made it home safely in the end . Thank flip for mobile phones eh, imagine/remember how stressful it used to be waiting for loved ones before they were invented

Looks like a lovely day here, if a little chilly. Hope you have all got fun things planned for today

CaptainCaveman · 30/01/2010 09:33

Morning. Am ferociously knackered . Went to bosses house for a lovely meal (8 of us), got in around midnight (I was driving) and bed for 12.30. O awake again for over an hour in the wee small hours , and up for the day at 7.20.

I'm off to Tesco to buy a kiddie's present, party is in 1.5 hours!!!

Hope all is well with you all x

TwilightSurfer · 30/01/2010 11:47

Good morning ladies. It's too early to be up really with no where to go but Reese has her own agenda.

Thanks for kind words. DH had lost his patience about the drive home around hour 1. He has demanded I remind him to drive his truck if EVER there's even the SLIGHTEST chance of snow in the forecast.

Dizzy you're schedule completely tires me. I don't know how you and MrDizzy manage it at all. What's even wilder is how wonderful you are despite the craziness. I'd be intolerable on the highest level. Also very sad about your friend but those are all circumstances above and beyond your control having nothing to do with you and the return of your money. Who's to say he won't inherit millions from his grandmother's passing and the broken bones incident didn't score him a lottery load as a result of the lawsuit he files because it was someone else's fault.

HP I to ignored the girls for as long as I could this morning. It's getting easier to do and I LOVE IT.

Captain while you are at Tesco would you be so kind as to pick up cat food and grape jelly. How on earth did I manage being out of both those items in the middle of a snow storm.

TwilightSurfer · 30/01/2010 12:19

DIZZY! I was just trying to figure out which massage I want from my spa and read this for the DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE: "Ease sore muscles with a soothing combination of therapeutic techniques and arnica-infused massage cream." It's a DIZZYSPA!!!!

Well the snow is more MUSH than snow but Kinsley's still having a ball with it. I fear loads of ice issues tonight. DH will have to go in to work if power outages reach a certain point. So far our area has been lucky.

Sazzles I hope your run is exhilarating. Sorry for ranting about all things physical activity related last night. I think I was under stress. Not even sure if I ranted here or elsewhere. LOL!

Dizzy I might try 30 minutes worth of your spa-massage next Saturday after my pilates class.

DH out now getting loads of food since we have nothing better to do than cook, eat, cook and eat. I believe TACOS are slated for lunch.

TwilightSurfer · 30/01/2010 16:49

Almost 6 year old girl, free to any takers. Will pay shipping.

DD1 decided to eat her lunch in Reese's stroller. The one I NEVER use. I pulled it out today because the other two were in the truck. The kid dump her entire tostada into her lap and all over the seat of what was an almost completely spanking new stroller. She also didn't tell anyone she'd done this but continued to eat the taco meat one piece at a time off her and the seat...all the while smushing what had gotten underneath her all into the seat.

To top that I just looked over and the cat was drinking my drink from my glass, paws in it and all.

TwilightSurfer · 30/01/2010 16:52

I'm dreaming of an island with warm sunshine and beautiful blue waves crashing against a spectacular white sandy beach.^
