Miamla · 23/01/2010 17:08

i reckon he's just speculating.. i think he's fishing more than actually knowing anything or is there a chance he does know?

TwilightSurfer · 23/01/2010 18:48

Buckets I'm not a fan of baiting so I posted a comment to steer things in a nicer direction. Silly man! He probably thinks he's being flirty.

TwilightSurfer · 23/01/2010 18:55

LWFH that's very similar to my request for front row seating via SKYPE.

Singapore if you got out of bed and stayed out of bed...YOU WIN. I at least went back to sleep each time.

luckoftheirish · 23/01/2010 19:07

evening all ..

well both dds in bed!!! had a great playdate this afternoon, involving trip to the park in the freezing cold and dd2 walked every where!!! big walk for dd1 this am so fingers crossed i have tired them both out.. i'm pretty shattered too!!

at your night out buckets so glad you had so much fun...

i'm on count down for dh to come.. have missed him so much! absence certainly makes the heart grow stronger!!!

TwilightSurfer · 23/01/2010 19:10

Lucky that's great all the way around. Good for you.

oopsandbabycoconut · 23/01/2010 19:40

Morning ladies

HOpe you are all well

We move on today from Sydney to Melbourne to start our big drive up the east coast. It was massively hot here yesterday (sat) 43 at 10am but the heat was broken by the most spectacular thunder storm at 4pm with lightening and everything. Warm rain is lovely. DD's new word for the day is Platypus if you ask her any question she just says 'platypus'. So when asked by the waiter what she wanted for dinner she said 'platypus salad' It is wonderful watching DD fall head over heels in love with her Papa, until now he has just been on the edge of her radar as the man who takes her in the mornings and plays with her at weekends, we realised just how little time they spend together. SHe now asks him to do things for her and will Spend endless hours asking wim to 'walk a me'. Too fab for words!

Miamla - hope things are going okay with weddingy things and bump.

GladioliBuckets · 23/01/2010 19:55

Oops As usual and at your little genius. Glad you're having such a good time.

TS Thanks for your diffusion on FB. He could well be just being flirty as obv we just have visions in our heads f each other as fit young 17yr olds LOL. But there is a remote chance that I am famous enough round these parts for taking a skyclad moonlit stroll about a housing estate for him to have heard about it. Have told DH now so at least I can't be blackmailed LOL, he just rolled his eyes and anyway, he is still so loved up after last night's filth I could reveal anything and get away with it.

TwilightSurfer · 23/01/2010 20:04

Buckets I guess you should not be surprised if your DH asked you to take another such stroll with him when the weather is more permitting.

TwilightSurfer · 23/01/2010 20:05

verb tenses in my last post don't seem correct. where is my editor?

TwilightSurfer · 23/01/2010 21:56

well this place is a bit drafty today.

pertelote · 23/01/2010 22:09

I'm here TS, don't know about everyone else... I wouldn't presume to edit you, but your tenses look ok to me. 'Were [DH] to ask' would be the formal way of putting it but 'if [he] asked' isn't incorrect IMHO

Sheesh I'm boring. Time I took myself to bed and bored myself to sleep.

TwilightSurfer · 23/01/2010 22:24

Thanks Pertelote. I studied only one year of Latin but took 12 terms of English/Literature/Writing and still amaze myself at how horrible I am. I'm a firm believer that there are just things in life that we AREN'T good at. LOL!

Have a good night's sleep.

I think I'm either going to get myself a margarita OR a cup of coffee with a brownie. Tough choice for a lady who back in bed again for the 5th time today leaving DH to manage all things home & child related.

hotterpotter · 23/01/2010 23:33

Sorry to have been AWOL but have been watching telly and chatting to DH, who is buzzing as his beloveld Leeds have managed to secure an unlikely replay against Spurs in the FA Cup

Also he has shocked me by admitting he is seriously considering ther merits of DC3 I really don't know how I feel about it any more, thinking I was pg put it into focus a bit and I was surprised to be actually relieved when the second blue line didn't appear... oh hecky I don't know, and will be pestering you mamas with 3 to see if it's worth it...

Bed time now I think, hoping to get to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park tomoz if the weather is OK, there is no motorway driving to get there, hurrah

LittleNutTree · 23/01/2010 23:48

Hi girls, I hope you don't all mind me barging in, but I fancy rejoining the thread after ages away. I'm hoping to keep up this time! I don't know if anyone will remember me, but I was HazieDazieandBaby, decided on a new name!
Hope everyone is doing well!

TwilightSurfer · 24/01/2010 00:40

Well hello old friend. Hazie...I mean LittleNutTree. How is Gabriella???

HP

luckoftheirish · 24/01/2010 07:13

hots a dc3... you are a brave woman thinking about it and a massive u turn from your dh!!!

did you go for the coffee or drink ts ..

hoping to take the girls to see their cousins for a few hours this am and then dh back hurrah!!!

cyteen · 24/01/2010 09:04

Welcome back LNT, returners are always welcome How's your darling girl?

hots I always knew he'd come around to the idea. At least you can now both consider it together, iyswim, work through it fully without it being so much of a battle. FWIW I think you should go for it as you breed such gorgeous children, but that's easy for me to say

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 24/01/2010 12:46

I forgot to turn off my Blackberry alarm again. Reese didn't bother yelling at me about it. She just kept saying, "OsJuice! OsJuice! OsJuice!" I put the gate up on the girls' room and handed them each some orange juice and pretzels. Now I'm back in bed listening to Led Zeppelin live and typing on my laptop. DH is trying to sleep. Ha Ha

Lucky I had the brownie and coffee. But only because DH and DD1 were trying to steal the brownie. It was either Eat It or Loose It last night. I really think I'd have like to had the margarita though. Drinking moods don't hit me often. It would have been a good indulgence.

Cyteen I can't wait to see what HP says about your DC3 reason.

Dazed and Confused is 29 minutes long on this album. What an awesome concert that must have been! WOW!!

Until later....

GladioliBuckets · 24/01/2010 14:05

Hello LittleNutter, welcome back.

Hots I can't extol enough the virtues of a 3-4yr age gap for a third baby. Those few hours a day just the two of you is priceless, the freedom of only having one child with you. So I would say keep your legs crossed til Christmas.

DD and DH have gone swimming, DS1 has been doing lots of spontaneous drawing (of The Incredibles) and Kurt is asleep. Time to get back to my fun book.

GladioliBuckets · 24/01/2010 17:38

TS I've noticed you have black beans a lot. Please tell me what you do to them to make them tasty? I bought a can the other day with the thought of asking you!

Miamla · 24/01/2010 18:33

hi all
spent yesterday carving a tree trunk for the image on our wedding invite, i'm really quite pleased with the result. it took me and my sister foraging but we found the perfect bit of wood for it just behind our house!
why does everyone keep asking me what font we're having??? FFS! it doesn't matter!!!! and breathe!

hi Nut Tree, i do indeed remember you! welcome back, you won't find much has changed round here! we still get through threads in a matter of days! (except when sazz is on hols )

Hots.. DC3?? wow! its never happening here i can tell you that much!

dinner's calling...back in a bit

alittlebitshy · 24/01/2010 18:41

miamla but did you get your sis's DRESS???!!!

TwilightSurfer · 24/01/2010 18:47

Buckets I only purchase Goya Canned Black Beans - Blue Label and eat probably one can a week. These are so great I never have to do anything to them. I just add a little water because I like to cook them till they are soft soft. I add them to soup, all mexican dishes, or have them along side rice, rice-a-roni, or couscous. There's no better product on the planet!

TwilightSurfer · 24/01/2010 18:49

Miamla, why on earth are people asking about your "font"???? I'd be asking, "whatcha gonna have good to eat??"

TwilightSurfer · 24/01/2010 19:50

i'm tired. reese is napping. dh & dd1 went to the toy store. i'm crashed on the sofa watching dvr'ed show. as you can tell there's nooooo excitement across the pond.
