How exciting to be going on a date! Are you excited/nervous/cool and collected?

ataraxis · 18/01/2010 21:58

ooh Steaky - we're moving very close to you as soon as we can sell our place - we'll be just outside Exeter - exciting, you can come round for tea (or wine)! Glad you are enjoying life - can't wait to hear how tomorrow goes! (Hope dinner isn't too burnt)

Hi hotter lovely to see you.

Aah, I've missed you guys on here

hotterpotter · 18/01/2010 22:05

We have missed you too

Are you excited about moving? We are hoping to move this year too but I veer between excitement, terror, and depression that I can't really afford a nice enough house. Fecking lottery...

steaknife · 18/01/2010 22:14

I've not told you the whole truth ladies.
I do have a date tomorrow, but it isn't a first date. Well it is our first date going out. But not our first meeting.

We arranged the date then he phoned and said "what are you doing at the weekend?" I said "not much" and hastily arranged DD to stay at grandmas. And so he popped over for a visit this weekend.

steaknife · 18/01/2010 22:16

atraxis how very exciting. Exeter is all fancy now and has a Hobbs and a Carluccios and everything. We are going here tomorrow.

And we have a gorgeous beach here, so hopefully come the summer you can come and build sandcastles with us.

cyteen · 18/01/2010 22:20

Oh yes? Was that a visit, or a 'visit', hem hem?

hotterpotter · 18/01/2010 22:21

dizzydixies · 18/01/2010 22:28

marvellous, count me RIGHT in when the new thread starts

hotterpotter · 18/01/2010 22:28

Good job DH finally stepped up to the shag plate this weekend or I would be dissolving in a pool of

(am slightly to admit I am a teeny bit anyway )

OK sorry for all the faces

ataraxis · 18/01/2010 22:28

My mouth is watering at that menu... looks gorgeous, I hope it's as good as it looks. Enjoy your evening (sounding like that is highly likely )

Hooray to sandcastles!

Hotter - can't wait to move! We are sooo ready to do it. We already know the area pretty well so it's not such a big thing in that respect - and DH's family will be close by, so lots of babysitters while I go out for sophisticated meals with steaky!

Right, that's me off to bed. Night lovely ladies!

steaknife · 18/01/2010 22:31

Night Atraxis hope it is a peaceful one.

Hello everyone,

hotter I lived in Leeds for 6 years so liked reading your posts about Temple Newsam

CaptainCaveman I was going to come on here and talk about sleep as well. Thanks for the links to the lamb and the teddy. I may well think about this. DS goes down for his nap and to sleep with no problems - well still cuddled or patted and shushed in our bed/on the sofa - (and now naps very well from about 10.30am to about 12.30pm) but if, woe betide, he has a 20 minute snooze in the buggy before getting home in the evening, this will keep him going for another 3 hours aaarghhh. I think that cyteen ( posted something about her DS only going to sleep if he is really tired. steaknife good suggestion about milk and stories in the cot, this might work, but what do you do about teeth cleaning after the milk, as this would certainly wake DS right up again?

TS Pilates coach everyone says ... yes, I completely agree. Also, you can send a message to someone on facebook even if you aren't friends with them, so this might be an optioon for your SIL if you ever need to arrange something with her.

hello everyone else

dizzydixies · 18/01/2010 22:37

hi longway - the only exception I make to teeth cleaning is milk or water - fingers crossed but it hasn't done mine any harm

night all
