Happy birthday Gui!

we3kingbeat23oforientare · 20/12/2009 09:19

hap hap hap happy birthday!!!

hope all are well and heads still not sore from the meet up...sounds like fun...pictures on FB please!!!!

Iris still not sleeping properly. My DM is a fan of CC. My DD is not. She has stamina and willpower (good - im glad) I think my DM thought that I just wasnt commited enough and spoil her too much!! (no mother - its just crap and cruel and youre supposed to check up on them not just leave them to cry!!!) and breathe and relax.

BeBe - buggeration. Yup, a little of the emotional and majority of the teenager talk tends to work well. We do try not to nag tell them how to do things, but after repeated actions of stupidity, it's kinda hard not to isn't it. You could always refund his presents and show him the reciepts...this is what you could have won kind of stylee - but I had to return them to pay the bills!!!

PICTURES - I have a need to live through you all!!

BErriesBEllsandMOOnlight · 20/12/2009 09:20

I had the most horrible recurring nightmare last night. Ended up waking up in a panic and screaming as loud as my lungs would allow me (did my labor pains screams fine justice). Dh tried to calm me down but I was still in the dream even though awake and so I scratched/clawed him in the face and then told him to get away from me in no uncertain terms until I say it's ok to be near me again... He's slunk away like a whipped dog.

mrsgboring · 20/12/2009 14:36

Happy birthday Gui!!! Have some not really successful baked alaska. I've got lots Now I just have to adjust the recipe to get it right for Christmas Day.

Bebe that is just really crap of your DH. He deserves to be clawed in the face a bit I reckon.

JJ hello. I can't keep up either.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry to those I haven't caught up with. Edmund has had 15 minutes sleep since 4am. Again.

GoodKingWhatFreshHellLookedOut · 20/12/2009 15:11

Happy Birthday Gui! Hope you are being spoiled rotten

mrsgboring - can I have some baked alaska? Sorry to hear about your lack of sleep - Orbit was a nightmare last night, when he woke me up this morning it was all I could do not to push him out of the bed to stop him wailing in my ear. Hope you have a better night tonight.

Bebe sleeping next to you sounds dangerous....is your DH going to start wearing a crash helmet?

I am annihilated. Up late last night wrapping presents and settling Orbit every thirty seconds, then took the boys to the family carol service this morning, then coffee at church hall, then park, then home, made lunch, cleared up kitchen that looked like bomb site, now thank goodness Orbit is sleeping and DS1 is watching Robin Hood, and I am trying to work out how to get everything done before we go to Scotland on Wed.

Our car needs a new clutch which will be £500+ and is out of action until after New Year as the garage is closed. I have no idea how to get to Ikea to buy my mum's present with no car and two small children in tow. It's going to be interesting.

we3kingbeat23oforientare · 20/12/2009 15:19

mmmmmmmmmmmm, baked alaska...haven't had that in years

BeBe - maybe you can tell DH to sort his bloody life out if he doesn't want a scarred face???....just a thought....

BErriesBEllsandMOOnlight · 20/12/2009 15:28

Congrats on a baked Alaska MrsG I've never had... I'm thinking of doing mini pies tomorrow. How did you manage to bake with E? How do you manage to bake with a lo? Guess I'll find out soon enough..

Poor you (and E) for so little sleep.

I apoledgised for clawing him, but I have to say things are chilly between us even without the dream.
I've filled out 6 time sheets for him (he's not got any more blank time sheets currently- he says he got more a while back, but he's not sure where they went...) ....
Told him that they must get in one way or another tomorrow. Either he drops them off or finds out if he can fax them. AND he must get new blank sheets sent out immediately tomorrow too -sent to me at the house.
I've set an alarm for myself also to remind him to do the paperwork that needs to be done at the end of the week. 9pm on Friday. Not ideal, but it's the only way I'm sure to remember.
I've also set up a little packet/file box with a black pen, stamps and the right sized envelopes to put the sheets in and put it in his suitcase...I said when I get the blank ones that I will fill in all the misc info (name, address, client info) so all he has to do is fill in the hours he's worked for the week and sign them, pop them in the envelopes, drop it off at the client office on Friday on the way passed to get signed and then they should be validated by Monday and paid into the account. I've also set an alarm for myself to check his box every week to refill it with the 'essentials.' (I feel like I'm keeping track of a wayward teen and find myself close to tears constantly that I cannot trust him to do it all by himself)

BErriesBEllsandMOOnlight · 20/12/2009 15:37

(have to admit part of my problem is I'm a day from my period as so very emotional)

Meg has a blood blister from chewing on her lip...

Elfytigga · 20/12/2009 15:57

Bebe The fact you are close to your period as absofuckinglutely nothing to do with it at all. Your not so dh has been a complete fuckwit and is reaping all he has sown. Do not allow yourself to feel in the least bit guilty over this or I'll come and see you!

BErriesBEllsandMOOnlight · 20/12/2009 16:56

I do think it's a factor in how upset I am, but I wholly agree it is still a big deal and it STILL should not have happened....

HeiligFeierabend · 20/12/2009 18:50

Oh fuck. Hazel has a temperature. CAN MY GIRLS NOT BE SICK FOR A CHANGE!!!!?????

HeiligFeierabend · 20/12/2009 18:52

Okay, so what would you do... she was grumpy all day, then her temperature went up to 38.1 in the early evening and she's now had Calpol and is in bed half an hour earlier than usual. Apart from a slightly snotty nose, which she's had for over a week, I can't see that there's anything wrong with her. Would you take her to the doctors in the morning? I tend to go too soon but then it's so close to Christmas and don't want to miss anything if she needs treatment?

SantasNutts · 20/12/2009 19:06

HarkTheHerAuldAngelsSing · 20/12/2009 19:20

Nutts, where on FB? Can't see them on the FanjoWarriors page. Are they on your page?

bebe, I am sorry your DH is being so rubbish. You are mothering him and it's not fair on you. I don't know what to advise, though.

Fei, hope Hazel is OK.
A caught DS1's cold, and I have been using the snot hoover a lot this weekend. He seems better, but on Sat the doctor said he'd need to keep an eye on his ears...

DS1 has just learnt to ride a bike w/o stabilisers. He came a cropper this afternoon, on his face. He has a huge swollen lip (hot chocolate through a straw for supper!), a massive bleeding bump on his head, and scrapes all down the side of his face.

HarkTheHerAuldAngelsSing · 20/12/2009 19:20

ooh, yes, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUI!

BAUBLEnod · 20/12/2009 19:27

Happy birthday Gui Have a birthday

Fei - Oscar has had a temperature on and off for a few days as well. He has a snotty nose and the remnants of this cough he's had for about two weeks. I'm not taking him to the doc again as I reckon he's more likely to pick up another bug in the waiting room and he seems ok in himself. But that's not to say you shouldn't take H - if you are worried then take her, you don't want to be worrying all over Christmas.

Bebe - omigod you sound scary lady - maybe he'll realise quite how upset you are after that...

Oscar's two front teeth are finally coming through. I have never seen his cheeks so rosy, so much dribble or dealt with such a grumpy baby. I think we're in for a hell of a night - can see the teeth just beneath the surface of the gum. Just hoping hoping hoping they break through tonight...

BAUBLEnod · 20/12/2009 19:29

Oh god, going to check out these photos in advance

SantasNutts · 20/12/2009 20:19

Auld - yup on my page xx Thank you!!!!! so much!!!!! ((hugs))) xxxxxxxx
