Here we are on the other side-finally. Well done ladies!

On 2nd lot of AB's and they are suitable for BF so no expressing needed.

We've not done tummy time either. Apart from on my chest. When I hold F upright he has a good go at holding his head up. He's a bit bobby though!!

Hi all, sorry for those having a tough time. Can I recommend a bedroom/sofa retreat for those who are able. As soon as you can after tea get in your pjs and sort snacks, drinks, film/tv/mags etc and go to bed, sleep if you can and feed if you can't. Then if you can only sleep every other hour, you've got a good chance of it adding up to something decent by morning. All the better if you can convince someone else to take the baby for settling for a couple of hours while you get a head start on some sleep.

Littlepea, sorry you're going through this. As has been said sleep deprivation makes everything 10 times worse and its far to easy to take it out on each other. I don't think anyone can make a decision to break up a marriage while there is a child under 1 in the house. Def go and speak to someone if you're not coping. Men are generally selfish beasts who really do not realise what we do and go through.

smallone · 23/11/2009 13:07

Through no fault of their own I might add, I'm going make it my mission to try and make DS a good husband!

BellaCullen · 23/11/2009 20:55

littlepea sorry your DH is being such an a* ,sleepdeprivation is really tough on everyone.Speak to your GP and hopefully it will help.

ruby you`ll get through this and it will get better.

twinklegreen great you had a good night.Nathaniel sleeps good at night too normally from 8/9pm till 2/3am last night it was till 5am.During day it can be every 2 hours but dont really mind as long as he sleeps at night.Expecting it to go pear shaped any time so enjoying every night I get. Napping seems to be hit and miss and it takes him ages to fall asleep and he wants to be held and rocked all the time so hardly get time to sit down.Going back to have him weighed on wednesday as hes lost some weight after his operation am sure hes put some back on.He fits in some 3-6 months clothes already as hes very long but only 7 weeks today.God time goes so quickly.

Loving all the photos really need to take some more myself.

littlepeaI found it really tough going from one baby to two, as did dh.Try and be kind to each other you can get through this, it is just hard at the moment.Keep talking, only deal with one isue at a time (i should take my owne advice !!!)Try and do one nice thing for the other person every day.Hang on in there this will get easier big hug to you.

I had a good night on Sat with C doing 3 and 4 hours. THEN last night every half hour HELP !!!!!He has a little cold.Although he seems a little better tonight.Off to have a bath and get some sleep.

HappyTangerine · 24/11/2009 02:35

Hi(yawn)Big wave to anyone else up at this hour feeding

littlepea- So sorry you are having such a tough time and with DH as well. Keep communicating if you can, I know the sleepless nights makes everything seem so much harder.

ruby You are doing so fantastically well-remember "this is temporary."

HC My hv keeps going on about the tummy time for neurological development. Joseph pulls himself up off my chest for a good look round when we're standing so am sure we're getting enough that way, you probably are too.

Had awful time feeding from the soft, nipple blistered left breast this afternoon, I was in tears. I got flicking through the NHS breastfeeding newsletter/mag that the bf counsellor gave me and came across a section on using exaggerated latch with sore nipples. What a revelation for my poor painful nipple! Had a much better night as a result and am no longer dreading the feeds. Just as well-it feels like they're going to go on forever tonight...(kind of like the rain here up North)

littlepea72 · 24/11/2009 05:49

Thank you everyone, i am going to talk this over with my doctor today. Things just getting hard for us, Faith not sleeping, finding that my DS is Special needs (educational wise) & today my Hubby is flying to London to see a big doctor there, things feel out of control, and god i wish my mum was here, just to give me a hug . Will be back on later to report on doctor.

So happy for everyone who is getting more hours between feeds, hope we will all be there soon xxx

rubyslippers · 24/11/2009 08:50

have good days all

peachespaige · 24/11/2009 10:10

Morning all.
littlepea Im so glad you are seeing your gp, make sure you get everything off of your chest. What have they diagnosed your son with if you dont mind me asking?

ruby We too are 2-3 hours a night, I cant see a light at the end of the tunnel as yet.... Last night he went 10-30 to 1, 1-30 to 3-30 then 3-30 ish to 5-30ish. Im meant to be up at 7 to get the other two boys up and then breakfasts, wash, dress, school run but thankfully dp is still doing this so Fred and I sleep till 8ish!
I am trying to do stuff with the other boys at the weekend etc as after school and nursery is homework dinner etc, busy busy.

ht Lansinoh breast pads, dp got them by mistake, fab invention!

HumphreysCorner · 24/11/2009 11:19

littepea-hope you have a successful day.

Not a good night as Matthew went to sleep at 11pm then woke at 12,1,2,3,4,5,6 then 6-30pm with 2 explosive poos. Gave up and got up and had a bath. Must be a combination of my AB's and a growth spurt.

He has fallen asleep while feeding again but I must get some wrapping done so will try and lay him somewhere and hope he stays asleep.......

twinklegreen · 24/11/2009 14:57

Hi everyone
I have started a musnet october 09 facebook group if you want to join click here I have made it a closed group so it is only open to people I approve, so if you join can you say your mn name and then I'll know who you are! If you'd rather not join and remain incognito then that is also fine

twinklegreen · 24/11/2009 15:21

Actually I don't think you can send a message when you request to join. You could say that you've requested to join on here instead.

I've just approved someone, is it one of you lot!

twinklegreen · 24/11/2009 15:23

can't have just anyone joining it's a very exclusive group don't you know!!!...

littlepea72 · 24/11/2009 15:31

Hey....talked to the doctor, who told me this is really normal in army life, because we have moved and still dont know anyone, and no family arround, it feels alot harder than it really is. We talked for a while & i will try to just take things one day at a time. There is a place called home start that i can call into & talk to someone, they also have a baby group i can go to as well, i like the sound of that, means i can also start meeting people.

Peaches, my son is only 5 but has lived in 7 different homes, and between nursery, pre-school & year 1, he has been to 6 different schools. We have moved so much with my DH work, this has taken to much out of him, he is now afraid off schools, alot of people & most of all, change. He tries to run away & cant cope. Hes ok at home or at with my family, but we have along way to go with him untill he feels safe again. We hope to move back home soon, there is a school there that will take him & he wouldnt move from it untill he turns 17. But they are also going to do some tests on him soon, they think there is also something medical too.

Ruby, make sure you get some rest if you have people coming to visit, take advantage of it!

HC last night sounds like a nightmare! My doctor told me that at 6 weeks they can go crazy with feeding for a couple of weeks, Faith is doing that also but no-where near as bad as Matthew. I suppose that is one good thing about the bottle, its quicker. I hope you have a better night tonight xx

Jelly im glad you asked about the photos, i too am having problems

Twinkle i have put in a request for the facebook, it doesnt have my nickname...my name is Paula if you are wondering who it is

littlepea72 · 24/11/2009 15:32

yipeee!! photo upload DONE! thanks HC! x

peachespaige · 24/11/2009 16:42

Afternoon all.
littlepea Im so glad your Dr was helpful. I think a baby group is such a good idea. It must be so tough moving so much. Im sure your ds will settle into the school when you get home. Is it routine he craves? familiarity do you think?

Im thinking about Christmas day and really want to drink some champagne, should I start expressing now or just feed him a couple of bottles of formula on the day??
