I am here to CM

Last text from her last night was 2041. Contractions were 10 mins apart.

Nothng since

Tills and Pink you willbe next!! How exciting. I just LOVE all this especially at Xmas.

I have always wanted a Xmas baby. I also want one with lots of spiky dark hair (Like Lucy)

It is lovely to have dh home. Beau woke up before we had even got to bed and proceeded to sleep in the middle of us all night.

We snuck off while Merlin was on though...

Jam France sounds lovely. What is the Beco? I have just got a Mei Tai and i think it is fantastic. Not tricky at all and ihave even mastered the back carry. Both babies like it.

Morning...

Moijaimelacountry · 22/11/2009 08:38

SOH, that is beautiful that song. She has an amazing voice, gave me the chills listening to it. Something very special about that country twang in a voice. Will look out for some more from her.

ShowOfHands · 22/11/2009 09:23

Kate Rusby is bloody amazing. She's playing a Christmas concert at the O2 next month with a full brass band. She's from Barnsley and I love the fact that she sings in her local accent. She's just had a little baby you know, called Daisy. Impeccable taste hey TMAM?

Funny Kate Rusby song

TMAM, are the staff in a separate tent or do you make them sleep outside with the animals?

Hurrah for N being home. Hurrah. And thrice hurrah. Sneaking off during Merlin is no good though. You'll miss the carefully written subtext. Do you not see it LG&T. It's there, it's absolutely there. I thought you had the right warped and twisted mind. You've only a couple of months to wait and you can make a Christmas baby. Will get rid of the horrendous periods.

C'mon Charley...

Moijaimelacountry · 22/11/2009 09:48

I love her accent...right Yorkshire lass! So the one she talks about at the end... The white cockade (sp) do you know it? is that anywhere to listen to?

ShowOfHands · 22/11/2009 10:03

There's loads of KR stuff on YouTube but I don't think The White Cockade is on there. It's been covered many, many times. Great traditional folk song. If you like haunting, try searching 'a rose in april' on YouTube by KR. Great stuff. Her album Little Lights is a good starting place if you want to hear more.

Aherm. Can I recommend The Blue Cockade by Show Of Hands? it's essentialy the same song as The White Cockade but rearranged lyrically and musically. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT-kl2FjVmg. That's Miranda Sykes singing the woman's part. She is AMAZING.

ShowOfHands · 22/11/2009 10:07

Ignore my poor spelling today. Am going to see SOH a week today and am so excited I can't type!

ShowOfHands · 22/11/2009 10:21

Miranda Sykes

I'll leave you in peace.

Okay had a funny turn about 5:00 am rang MW and she arrived about 5:20. She couldn't examine me as contractions were every couple of minutes and I couldn't sit down. Got examined and was 7cm but stretchy as well. Once I had sat down I could not get up and kept contracting on the sofa.

I eventually got up as the urge to poo was overwhelming SITMI, had a little winnet then could not get off toilet. Head was visible, MW held head in whilst I got back on sofa leaning over the back. One push and head and body both popped out together. Baby came out screaming and TENS machine fell on the head, had a look to see what was what to discover a little girl. She was quite vernixy and weighed in at 6lb 15oz. Walked to the loo again and delivered placenta, all okay so sat back down to look in amazement at my beautiful little baby girl. I have a small labial tear/graze which is stinging but I could not stop the urge to push even though I was trying really hard.

She latched on and is also feeding now. Had a bath MWs gone and we are all sat in bed, trying to get the adrenaline out of my system so I can nap.

Videoed it and have just watched it back crying. It is so amazing. Thank-you for thinking of me last night. Thank you to everyone who helped me think a HBAC was okay and I was not mad to go for it.

Really am going to sleep now. Honest gazes at new baby and comes over all soppy.

charleymouse · 22/11/2009 11:05

Sorry forgot time it was about 7:30.

Tillyscoutsmum · 22/11/2009 11:09

Awww Charley - CONGRATULATIONS XXXX

I can't believe the first of our "December" babes is here.

Look forward to hearing name and seeing pics. You go have a lovely sleep and give her a big squidge from me

ShowOfHands · 22/11/2009 11:21

Oh Charley.

You're so clever. It sounds like a lovely birth. And a little girl, how wonderful. I can't wait to hear all about her.

I've been thinking about you all night. I think your body needed you to have a slow build to this one. I hope you are proud of yourself, of how wonderfully you have managed. I know that your body has never, ever let you down in reality but I know the thought crept in after the dts that you somehow felt responsible for cruel fate. I truly hope that this last day has shown you what an amazing thing your body is.

Sleep well lovely. Congratulations to all of you.

Moijaimelacountry · 22/11/2009 11:26

Charley...well done my lovely, congratulations to all the mouse family. Sounds just perfect. Looking forward to hearing and seeing some pics once you are rested.

SOH...taking note of your true fine words to CM I hope....

AprilMeadow · 22/11/2009 11:36

Well bloody done you! Huuuuge congratulations. I was in tears reading your post, I'm so delighted it all went according to plan. Much love to you dh, dd and ds. Can't wait to hear of names and see some pics.

I'll come back later and read all of SOH's ramblings wise words.

Suffice it to say I have spent a weekend learning how to sail, plus having to camp and monitoring small people and in laws as well. I knew I should have taken the staff.

AbbyLou · 22/11/2009 16:19

I've just seen CM's lovely news on fb. Well done you!! Many congratulations to you and all the family. What a lovely name too.
Sorry about the lack of posting everyone. Busy busy busy as always! Both children have been poorly and R is still not right to be honest. She's so lethargic and really freaked us out the other night when her temperature was so high she was hallucinating! Thankfully the temp seems to have dropped now but she's still feeling very sorry for herself.
We all made some Christmas cards this morning for the children to send. Trying to save some money and do things as cheaply as possible this year! It was fun but rather like being at work to be honest.
Can't wait for this term to be over, 4 weeks to go!! The children are very tired already and are starting to get a bit excited so it's impossible to get any decent work out of them. It's C's birthday the day after we finish so we're busy planning his party. He's having a disco and has 36 (!) names on his list so far!!!

largeginandtonic · 22/11/2009 19:42

CM i am almost overwhelmed with happiness for you and your family. A gorgeous little girl

I hope you have the happiest of sleeps snuggled up next to her.

Can't wait tomeet her.
